  1. Sorry for my absence. I have been quite ill. I will try to bounce back today or tomorrow.
  2. Loxley Half Elf Bard AC: 14 (Studded Leather ) | HP: 13/13 | HD: 2/2 | Speed: 30 ft. | Initiative: +2 Senses: Passive Perception 11, Perception 14, Darkvision 60ft. Str: 9 (-1) | Dex: 14 (+2) | Con: 10 (+0) | Int: 14 (+2) | Wis: 12 (+1) | Cha: 17 (+3) Languages: Common, Elven, Dwarven, Halfling Spell Slots: L1 3/3 | L2 0/0 Loxley watched in eager fascination as his companions began to fell their attackers. First with a volley of crossbows as if a secret army had suddenly joined them and next with a large axe wielded so fiercely that Loxley almost flinched from the blow. Almost. There was only one creature left and Wilovar had called down fire from the heavens against it. But it appeared more was required to bring the monstrosity down. Wounded as he was, it was perhaps not the time for tactical experiments. Loxley should continue to fire his own crossbow at the filthy woman-thing and simply add to the damage it endured. But Loxley did not want to waste the chance to try some of his magic. He had a fearsome spell that would produce great agony in the creature, but may cause it to retreat. Instead, Loxley decided for a lesser spell that could disorient the creature should it try to attack again rather than flee. Loxley opened his mouth and began to curse the creature. “You filthy sewer rat. You piece of utterly disgusting refuse. Do you bath in night soils? What a stench you produce. Your song could be most alluring if not for the god-awful reeking that comes from your body. Even the vultures will turn their nose up at your stinking carcass.” (Casting Vicious Mocking) : (1d20+5) (Psychic damage)
  3. Loxley Half Elf Bard AC: 14 (Studded Leather ) | HP: 13/13 | HD: 2/2 | Speed: 30 ft. | Initiative: +2 Senses: Passive Perception 11, Perception 14, Darkvision 60ft. Str: 9 (-1) | Dex: 14 (+2) | Con: 10 (+0) | Int: 14 (+2) | Wis: 12 (+1) | Cha: 17 (+3) Languages: Common, Elven, Dwarven, Halfling Spell Slots: L1 3/3 | L2 0/0 Loxley moved forward from his original position (30 ft.) until he was parallel with Sgt. Lin, but allowing a few feet of distance between them so both could work effectively. Seeing that Elrod’s blast had effect but did not fell the harpy, Loxley took aim with his crossbow and fired at Hilla as well. (Attack)(Damage)
  4. Loxley Half Elf Bard AC: 14 (Studded Leather ) | HP: 13/13 | HD: 2/2 | Speed: 30 ft. | Initiative: +2 Senses: Passive Perception 11, Perception 14, Darkvision 60ft. Str: 9 (-1) | Dex: 14 (+2) | Con: 10 (+0) | Int: 14 (+2) | Wis: 12 (+1) | Cha: 17 (+3) Languages: Common, Elven, Dwarven, Halfling Spell Slots: L1 3/3 | L2 0/0 It was like a deep, deep round of meditation. Loxley’s mind began to drift off as he did when meditating, but there was something different about it. Wilovar shaking him awake proved the difference. He had fallen asleep! Impossible! And yet it happened. No time to wonder about the human side of his ancestry causing this problem not found among elves or most half-elves. Loxley had to alert the others. He moved as quickly and quietly as he could. “Awake, be silent. Guard your ears. We are under attack from enchanted sounds coming from the forest.” (Will Save DC11)
  5. No apologies necessary, it is a nice post. You are more than welcome to roll initiative on my behalf.
  6. Half Elf Bard AC: 14 (Studded Leather ) | HP: 13/13 | HD: 2/2 | Speed: 30 ft. | Initiative: +2 Senses: Passive Perception 11, Perception 14, Darkvision 60ft. Str: 9 (-1) | Dex: 14 (+2) | Con: 10 (+0) | Int: 14 (+2) | Wis: 12 (+1) | Cha: 17 (+3) Languages: Common, Elven, Dwarven, Halfling Spell Slots: L1 3/3 | L2 0/0 There was magic in the music. Loxley had felt it release from the flute as it reached out to the encourage his companions. He had been both startled and upset by the breaking of the string on his lute, but the flute rendition of the song was one of his better performances. Loxley was glad to see the positive effect on the group. There was just a hint of it lingering with Wilovar as they gathered together for the night’s watch. Loxley hoped to aid his team in as many ways as possible. There was the quintessence that flowed from the music to help improve tasks both combat and non-combat related, a little healing magic that Loxley hoped to improve over time, a general feeling of comfort and encouragement to be brought forth, and a little luck on Loxley’s behalf as well. ”Danzig, eh?” Loxley smiled at mention of the city. Most folks from smaller villages knew of the location, if only mainly by reports of tradesmen who travelled from there traveling west and sometimes south. “It is a good city to drawn one on to greater things. Or just to find comfort in life away from the storms. I am from a few days ride southwest of there. A little village called Elderberry. You might guess the reason for the name.” (Perception):(1d20+2)
  7. Half Elf Bard AC: 14 (Studded Leather ) | HP: 13/13 | HD: 2/2 | Speed: 30 ft. | Initiative: +2 Senses: Passive Perception 11, Perception 14, Darkvision 60ft. Str: 9 (-1) | Dex: 14 (+2) | Con: 10 (+0) | Int: 14 (+2) | Wis: 12 (+1) | Cha: 17 (+3) Languages: Common, Elven, Dwarven, Halfling Spell Slots: L1 3/3 | L2 0/0 “Fresh leaves, plenteous in number, and brewed for a good long while. These are the things that make for a strong tea.” Loxley explained to Daigneault. “Mint teas are fine and can be quite refreshing, but I prefer a good, rich, dark tea. Something like a Sembian Black.” As the others made preparations to get underway, Loxley lent a hand wherever needed. He helped make inventory of the items they had available and sorted them into the wagon accordingly. With fourteen days of rations on hand, he was sure he could help sustain the others should foraging fall a little short. “I’m all for funding any items are felt are needed for the group as a whole.” As an added gesture, Loxley showed them the magic bag that he had that could store more items on the inside than appeared on the outside. His ears perked up at Elrod’s mention of flying and that he had a magic broom for just such a purpose. It would be interesting to see. ”Tseren, the land sounds delightful and I must say, I have never eaten the crayfish. It sounds like a wonderful new treat. Perhaps if things go well and it is not too much of an imposition, I might impose on you for cooking lessons. The pay off being someone to help with the task in the future.” As they continued on, Loxley tried to keep up with the conversations while keeping his eye out for any developments along the way. “I decided to give the Silver Hawks a chance rather the allow myself to be enrolled in my town’s local militia. It didn’t seem like a good fit for me for certain reasons. Plus, more opportunities for adventure this way. Gives me a chance to garner more songs and stories to help keep Wilovar awake during our shift at watch.” Since it seemed no one would object, Loxley produced his lute and began to play a soft and relaxing melody. At which point, he realized that he had forgotten to oil his strings properly, and one broke. About to perish from embarrassment, Loxley profusely apologized and put the lute away and then attempted to play the same tune on his flute instead. (Performance) (Performance 2)
  8. Are we doing 3 people for watch, or 3 sets of people for watch?
  9. Half Elf Bard AC: 14 (Studded Leather ) | HP: 13/13 | HD: 2/2 | Speed: 30 ft. | Initiative: +2 Senses: Passive Perception 11, Perception 14, Darkvision 60ft. Str: 9 (-1) | Dex: 14 (+2) | Con: 10 (+0) | Int: 14 (+2) | Wis: 12 (+1) | Cha: 17 (+3) Languages: Common, Elven, Dwarven, Halfling Spell Slots: L1 3/3 | L2 0/0 Loxley did not over-indulge the night before. This did not keep him from sleeping late. By the time he awoke and read the note, it looked like nearly everyone of his squad had already made their way toward the farm. This meant that Loxley did not have time for breakfast, which he usually skipped on most days anyway, or to saunter about Kerri’s Crossing having a good look at the town and what the local vendors had to offer. He did arrive at the farm in time to catch most of the conversation of the others it seemed. And to pocket a couple of apples for later. Also to fill a very hearty mug full of the hot tea. A true blessing. “I like my tea bountiful, strong, and sweet enough make honey weep in envy.” He offered the others a friendly smile before delving into the drink with gusto. The others were doing a good job of trying to pry out whatever preliminary details could be had from Sgt. Lin. Including asking about needing extra rations. Loxley hoped the tea was plentiful and that they had a proper pot for brewing. If not, the half elf knew the first item to go on his wish list. ”Loxley, for those who might not have caught my name. A pleasure to be teamed with you. I am a bard by trade. Which means when it comes down to it, I prefer to shoot first and poke at things second.” He indicated his bow, crossbow, and rapier as he spoke. “Not bad with any of them if it comes down to a little crowd control. I just prefer a friendly voice or even a hearty song to anything that breaks skin or causes blood to flow.”
  10. Is it wrong that the Samus icon reminds me of Ronnie James Dio?
  11. So can we go by Nameless Squad until we earn a moniker? “Nameless, form up!”
  12. Clay, as a ranger you might be interested in one of these items : Gauntlets Of Ogre Power Your Strength score is 19 while you wear these gauntlets. They have no effect on you if your Strength is already 19 or higher. Bracers Of Archery While wearing these bracers, you have proficiency with the longbow and shortbow, and you gain a +2 bonus to damage rolls on ranged attacks made with such weapons. Boots Of Elvenkind While you wear these boots, your steps make no sound, regardless of the surface you are moving across. You also have advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks that rely on moving silently. Personally, I am thinking practical with a bag of holding. If we do set the wagon up like a traveling tavern, it would be a good place to store kegs of ale, cooking utensils, etc. Plus, ya know, loot.
  13. A good assassin themed novel if you haven’t read it :
  14. The Copper Craw. A name that gets stuck in your throat. Interestingly enough, craw is also a name for a type of blackbird.
