  1. Thanks for the invite, but I currently have too much on my plate to add another game. Also, I've played through that AP two times from start to finish already. It IS a fun one though.
  2. Ten Things You've Probably Noticed About Rina Rina is almost obsessive on the topic of health and fitness. Duh. Rina is almost never without the same long, white scarf. Maybe it's a cherished gift or some kind of heirloom? Though normally confident and self-assured, Rina gets very awkward and clams up around the Teen Titans, and there's a good chance she's let slip at least once with odd appellations for them instead of names, like calling Tim 'the Detective's Apprentice' and so on. Ask if you're curious about a specific one. When there are quiet moments, Rina seems to spend it sketching, painting, or obsessing over superhero news and gossip sites. Without fail, Rina spends at least thirty minutes calling her family every evening. Always her parents, but sometimes her sister and brother. Every once in a while, you might catch Rina watching classic horror movies and dramas from the 1930s and 40s. Rina is an absolute stickler for classwork, projects, reading assignments, whatever the instructors ask, Rina does quick, fast and in a hurry. Rina's favorite class isn't, despite appearances, Physical Education. It's History. Rina is taking the whole 'deputy leader of the Titans' thing very seriously. Perhaps not a surprise as she takes most things seriously, but this is EXTRA SERIOUS, YOU GUYS! There is a definite flip-flop in what attracts Rina's attention. She's either fascinated by her powered classmates with exotic origins and strange abilities or she's completely engrossed in working and hanging out with the non-powered members of the class.

  4. Backstory In the centuries of Ra's al Ghul's work towards restoring Earth's environment, he also sought to perfect those who would remain after the great culling of humanity that he planned. Ra's has never sought the total eradication of the human race, natural creatures that they are, but as he struggled with how to cull the Earth, he came to the realization that those who remained would need to be better than the men before them. Not just spiritually and mentally, but physically as well. The Kozakov family was one of his first experiments in this regard. Two hundred years before technology would let Ra's directly alter human genetics, he decided that careful, selective breeding of human family lines combined with extensive, brutal training and conditioning would be the best approach to creating this new breed of humanity. Starting with a loyal family associated with the League of Assassins in Tsarist Russia, Ra's pulled the family away from the League and decreed that they would limit their family to those that Ra's introduced. Utterly loyal to the Demon's Head, the progenitors of the Kozakovs agreed, indoctrinating each generation that followed, keeping the family in isolation outside of Ra's and his closest servants. Ra's determined who would marry who within the family, introducing new 'members' periodically from the best examples of humanity he found in his travels. As his knowledge of the physical, mystical, and martial sciences grew, he also added and codified a rigid course of physical training and education for each member of the family to follow rigidly. Ra’s would then breed the best of each generation with outside stock, and the weakest, well, Ra's ensured they had a merciful death. Even when far faster means to these goals became available, such as genetic engineering and various super-sciences, the Demon's Head continued his experiments with the Kozakov, occasionally using their best members as special enforcers or agents. On occasion, the League moved the family around the world, eventually settling them in Gotham City two decades before Ra's al Ghul's first encounter with the Batman. It was in this environment that Irina Kozakova was born. In every way, the young girl seemed to be the perfect culmination of Ra's's experiment, a nearly perfect physical and mental specimen. And that, in a way, lead to its failure as well. To put it simply, Irina was too smart, too strong-willed, to fall fully for the Kozakov's indoctrination techniques. Information was too hard to control, even for the Demon's Head, and so Irina heard about the great heroes of Earth alongside Ra's's own moralistic ideals to save the planet's environment. Snatches of stories and newscasts that slipped through the carefully controlled internet of the Kozakov compound, loose lips among the clan itself, and unbounded intellectual curiosity fed Irina bits and pieces, a growing amount of it. Mix that with good old fashioned teenage rebellion, and the foundation was set for a change of heart for Irnia. Still, she might have wound up becoming a loyal servant to the Demon's Head anyway, eventually falling under the sway of her family, if fortune hadn’t shined on her one fateful day. In pursuit of one of his long-term schemes to retake the Earth, Ra’s employed the Kovakovs close to their home in Gotham City, but instead of running afoul of the Detective and the Bat-family, the plot was uncovered by Green Lantern Alan Scott. Bringing in the Justice Society of America, Alan stopped the League’s plans cold, and in the process, uncovered the Kozakov facility. The team was horrified by Ra’s’s eugenics program, something very close to home to those on the team who had served during World War II, and upon discovering the teen-aged Irina, it became obvious what needed to happen. Taking the young woman out from the isolation and indoctrination of the Kovakovs was the first step, and Alan and his wife, Molly, especially moved by the situation, decided to take Irina, provide her a home, build a cover story for her, and enroll her in Legacy Academy. Now free to experience the real world that she saw fleeting glimpses of through her cage, Irina is more determined than ever to turn the gifts and training the League of Shadows had provided into something that can truly help all of mankind.

  6. Thanks, Papa! I'll take care of that this afternoon.
  7. So now I need to ask as I am totally unfamiliar with the new site... Do I need to basically copypasta my character thread over? Is there some simple way to do it, or is it just good old-fashioned copy/paste?
