  1.    Yichan Su | Variant Human Monk (Way of Open Hand) 6 AC 17 | HP 51/51 | Speed 55ft | PP 16 | Init +6 | Ki 6/6 Yichan sighs. Why can't the ghosts be more like her ancestors and just enjoy their afterlife? Sure, the spirits of her ancestors still watch over her and perhaps show up in her dreams ever so often, but never would they come and possess her. As they don't have an exorcist, they will have to resort to the old-fashion way. She clenches her fist and gets ready to attack.
  2.  Yichan Su | Variant Human Monk (Way of Open Hand) 6 AC 17 | HP 51/51 | Speed 55ft | PP 16 | Init +6 | Ki 6/6 It is quite a surprise to see Grumpy pulling his weight in a fight. As the last of the creatures disappear, it would seem that he has the strength to back up his temper. That aside, the captives are top priority. Yichan pulls down the goggles as well and starts looking for clues of the infiltrators. Putting aside the Phantom, the origins of these scrappers is also a concern. "From what Kronk said, these creatures are from the Underworld, so what are they doing in the prestigious mines of the Seven Dwarves?" Yichan poses the question to the dwarves. Given that the Phantom seems to also have undead qualities, it is very likely that the Underworld is somehow involved in all of this. She furrows her brows, as she does not like the implication that Hades is pulling the strings behind all this. Show OOC Action: Perception check for clues. Side not: I think it is best to stay low profile, but there is the luminous pearl if we really need a light(60ft bright, 60ft dim)
  3. Yeah, I just keep forgetting to check this site as well. Gotta incorporate that into routine.
  4.  Yichan Su | Variant Human Monk (Way of Open Hand) 6 AC 17 | HP 51/51 | Speed 55ft | PP 16 | Init +6 | Ki 6/6 Kronk seems to be onto something, but of course Grumpy becomes grumpy about it. Yichan almost groans when he lost his patience, but she holds it in after seeing him drawing all of their attention. Regardless of his temperament, a civilian in distress needs to be saved.   Rushing into the dogpile, she strikes out at the each of them with great fluidity of motion, with each connecting to the next. Leg sweep to make them fall, bash the heads together as they fall, then punching down once they have fallen. Show OOC Action: Attack (2 from extra attack) Bonus Action: Attack (Martial Arts)
  5. Yichan Su | Variant Human Monk (Way of Open Hand) 6 AC 17 | HP 51/51 | Speed 55ft | PP 16 | Init +6 | Ki 6/6 Seeing the creatures pause, Yichan also stops. She raises her hands up and opens up her hands to show them that she has no weapons. She takes a few steps forward only and calmly asks: "Can you speak? Mind if you tell us what your business is here?" However, noting the one that is sizing up Kronk she does not drop her guard. As she slowly approach, she tries to match a name to theses creatures, recalling any information she has gotten in the past in other people's mission reports. Show OOC Action: Dodge Does it seem like they are blocking the entrance as well?
  6. Can we roll to check if we know who these creatures are and who they are affiliated with?
  7. Yichan Su | Variant Human Monk (Way of Open Hand) 6 AC 17 | HP 51/51 | Speed 55ft | PP 16 | Init +6 | Ki 6/6 Yichan sat atop the carriage, keeping an eye out for dangers and guards up for ambushes. Everything remained peaceful until they reached their destination. With a kidnapping at hand and strange creatures destroying the equipments, the plan is mostly out the window as most plans are. However, one does not bend but follow the wind, and Yichan readies to stop these intruders.
  8. Yichan Su | Variant Human Monk (Way of Open Hand) 6 AC 17 | HP 51/51 | Speed 55ft | PP 16 | Init +6 | Ki 6/6 Yichan thinks deeply as the new information is revealed. The intentions behind the thefts are still unclear, but it seems like the phantom will consistently steal from this particular mine. "For now, I'd suggest that we don't confront this suspect of ours. If you rustle the bush, you will alert the snake within, and we certainly don't want to alert the thief of anything. Instead, I propose that we ambush the thief on the next theft." "Upon your return, announce to the rest of the miners and personnels that we will be arriving a day later with a new magical gem sent on behalf of Master Merlin and initiate the preparation for security. And if I may overstep my position, gather a few of the ones that you find...suspicious and inform them that the gem has already arrived along with its location. We will be in that location with a fake gem, prepared to apprehend the thief when he comes to steal it, whether immediately or a day later."   She then turns to Merlin and adds on to what Merida requested: "Methods of dark vision will certainly be helpful, but we will also need something that can capture ghosts. All plans would be meaningless if the target can easily escape the binds. Last thing would the the fake gem, preferrably with some sort of tracker on it in case we could not detain the ghost."
  9. Yichan Su | Variant Human Monk (Way of Open Hand) 6 AC 17 | HP 51/51 | Speed 55ft | PP 16 | Init +6 | Ki 6/6 Yichan raises an eyebrow at Grumpy's remark but does not act upon it. After all, he is famously known for his grumpiness, and it is her job to protect all citizens, even if they are grumpy and unlikeable. Also, her brother would definitely reprimand her if she does do something. With much professionalism, she listens intently to their problem. At first she thought that the dwarves are reporting a case of a petty thief. However, her alarm raises when Grumpy revealed that a thing of magic was stolen. While it could be that the thief is just aimlessly stealing valuables, she cannot be certain of this assumption when the Villains made a move not too long ago. And especially not when the threat of Ursula's scheme around. What is the most interesting is that none have actually seen the ghost stealing. With the miners chased off and the increasing amount of gems stolen, it is very likely that there is an accomplice. However, it is a mere speculation, so she goes about collecting leads. "Let's proceed with the standard questions. Feel free to add on as you see fit. This is standard procedure, so please have some patience and cooperate." She pointedly glances at Grumpy, then proceeds: "What is the appearance of this phantom? From which direction did the ghost come and go? Have anyone witnessed the ghost commit the robbery? Has anyone spotted an accomplice of any sort? Are there any other incidents or things to note that occurred at around the same time? Have there been recent robberies outside of the mine?"

  11. Su Yichan -- Variant Human Monk (Way of Open Hand) Name: Su Yichan (Su is the family name) Race: Variant Human (+2 Dex, +2 Wis) Class: Monk (Way of the Open Hand) Background: Soldier Backstory: Ever since Mulan showed everyone how capable she is, women are allowed to enlist into the army. Yichan is one of the girls who admired Mulan and shared her ideals. She joined the army along with her brother, Ningxiu, to protect their land and their family. The Su Family: The family is of some status, as most of the men have dedicated their life to serving the country in the past. After Mulan's courageous act, many women of the family also joined in the efforts in protecting the country. The honor of the family lies in protecting their family and their brethren. Life in army: Since Yichan is a trained martial artist, she was assigned to an elite task force. Consisted of highly trained combat personnel, the task force is often dispatched to areas that are either dangerous or needed immediate response. When Yichan joined the squad, she was greeted with a punch in the face. She immediately countered, and the rest of the group is visibly more welcoming after she showed some capability. However, the group is not without friction, and most of the time the problems are solved by sparring out. Personality: Though they both strive for the same things, Yichan cannot be more different from her brother. If we are to compare them, Yichan is the floating clouds and Ningxiu is the unmovable mountain. Being lively and free-spirited, she is quick in both her movements and her wits. She acts fast, which would generally get her into a lot of trouble, but she often can quickly come up with a plan to counter it. Her brother would sigh out of exasperation when she speeds ahead, but he will still follow her in support. Martial arts tests the endurance of the spirit, which is Ningxiu's strength. Interestingly, Yichan got into martial arts because it is the only thing that is enough of an outlet for her energy. They would often spar when they are still trainees, and they often result in draws even with their different fighting styles. One prefers quick offence and the other sturdy defence. People passing by would often mistaken it as a one-sided beating, but in truth Yichan has a hard time making past Ningxiu's defense. As the years pass and their ranks rise, the number of times they spar reduces as they are busy with their duties, but the spars are also increasingly intense. Item origin: - Jade Pendant: A pendant made of white jade with carvings of a crane. When the two siblings joined the army, their grandparents gifted them with these pendants as symbols of good health. Whether it was best wishes or something else, the two never got sick over the years. OriginJade pendants are common accessories in the past. Since jade has a smooth texture, it is held in high regards to represent good character(gentle, good-natured). It is believed that human contact would smoothen and polish the jade, and the jade will nurture the body as well, which is why people wear jade for health. Cranes represents longevity, similar to turtles. Many portrayals of immortals show cranes as their mount. It is also believed when people ascend, cranes would come and get them. Crane designs are often used to wish good health and longevity. - Luminous Pearl: OriginFabled stones in the past. Legend has it that they light up the darkness like the moon.
  12. Yichan Su | Variant Human Monk (Way of Open Hand) 6 AC 17 | HP 30/51 | Speed 55ft | PP 16 | Init +6 | Ki 3/6 Yichan stays in her combative forms for a moment longer, but exits out of her stance upon being certain that danger has passed. She looks around to make sure everyone has returned, specifically Santa Claus, then she bows before the great wizard: "Master Merlin, we have returned with the Patron, and also with dire news." Then she proceeds to report on their findings in great details, with emphasis on the new powers of Oogie Boogie's dice and the plans of the Queen. "As I can gather, it is of utmost importance that we retrieve the artifact from the Sea Witch. However, if I may humbly inquire, how was the sundial stolen?"
