Result: 4    Seeing the group had retreated, Gen turned his attention into finding a path towards the exit in the midst of the chaos. Peering from the canopies, he saw a way out that they could take.   "Shyrrik, Dagen, everyone, this way!" He hollered, as they desperately fled the orcs.

Action & Results Shoot back at orcs: Result: 6.    Gen managed to avoid the arrows from the volley thanks to the thick canopy which the arrows either missed or were stuck in before they could reach and hurt him. But right after the assault, he made his way to a position where he could take a shot back at the orcs below.     Action Results: Orc Group 1 Sustain 1 Stress!

Result: 6 (+3 shoot and +2 from predator)    When Gen heard the hollering of orcs coming from behind him in the forest, he quickly started to climb up a nearby tree, pausing his attacks. Swiftly and securely climbing using his sharp clawed hands and feet, he made it near the canopy, which provided treetop camouflage, cloaking Gen and giving him more sanctuary from potential ranged fire. Looking out towards the orc's camp littered with human remains, he felt strong nausea, but managed to steel himself to distract the orcs below, to provide Dagen and Shyrrik an opportunity to continue aiding the prisoners. He shot an arrow towards the camp, hoping to hit one of the stronger orcs, and momentarily look away from the warrior in front of them.

"Good. Let us go then, I'll try to find source of corruption, can you help me keep hidden, Luna? Olenna, better you stay back with your clunkier armor so to not alert the myconids?" Gen stepped out of the skiff onto the land where the myconids dwelled, and very carefully started advancing, scanning the ground, the nonliving mushrooms, and walls for signs of what had happened, all while keeping an eye on the strange myconids.

Active Aspects  Eyes Peeled Action & Results Shoot at the orc group 1: 4 + 2 from invoked Fate (Hart of The Forest)    Seeing the flame-producing orc be cut down, and Dagen be wounded, Gen would draw his bow taut again and shoot towards one of the remaining orcs, trying to perhaps draw some of the orcs out of the camp to give Dagen a chance.

Gen tries to keep his head cool, taking aim, trying to go for the big eye this time... maybe if it's blinded at least a little, it will have a harder time attacking? He draws the bowstring taut, using the current disorientation of the huge fish to his advantage, and reaching to his mystical connection to the huntress Artemis, asking for guidance on the shot...

"I see a few of those myconids, I think. We can avoid them, they haven't seen us yet" He whispers to the others. "Maybe the sighting of them is enough? Should we return to the city and report this to the guild?" "How did they get here? What are they doing? And I already know who gets stuck with finding that out if we head back." Clutching his hands together, he adopts a pleading expression, mimicking Rolia. "Oh Ingram~ You're so smart~ Won't you guide these brave adventurers through the sewers?" He switches to a sterner tone and sniffs. "Lazy boy! Don't you understand what's at stake here? Did you think I wouldn't find out? That's twenty demerits!" Gen cocks his head, a bit confused over Ingram's words. He takes out more strips of cloth, handing them out to his party members. "Put these around your mouth and nose, if we are to investigate - Usha said it would help against the spores" He then looked expectantly at Luna and Olenna.  "You're helping, right...?"

Gen takes a part of extra fabric he carried for tying up potential wounds, and covers his mouth and nose with it. "In case we see myconids. This helps against the spores, Usha said back there" He tells the others quietly. Then he turns his senses towards the eerie fungus forest, trying to sense if there were anything living, or moving nearby besides the insects. His still watchful eyes helped him comb the mushroom forest...

"Should we get back up. We completed the mission right? When we get Ingram back to the surface, we can go back to the city. But I'm curious about those myconids mentioned... maybe we could ask the guild if they could send some group to check it out." He was bothered by monsters outside of the tower. Would they also come back if they were defeated?

Othewise, hide or try to distract them!" He then turns his gaze towards the orc adorned like some kind of a mage, and fires away the feathered arrow...

Gen sees another being engulfed, and quickly draws an arrow on his bow, aiming carefully, unleashing it towards one of the large beady eyes. Missing the eye but hitting between the scales, he quickly swirls around and readies his bow for the next opportunity.

He had not been in the city long, and he immediately saw its foul parts. Life in the forest was much simpler - rough, but simple and clean. "Ursha... my people were without a home too, once. They fled terrible things. If you want to, I'm sure they would welcome you with open arms in the Shrouded Herd tribe in the East forests, Macawich Woodlands. Far from the tower's dangers. You would receive better protection, trade, community. It's quite a trek there though... are you alone here with these kids?" Gen talks in a calm tone brindled with empathy.   Ursha broods over this, surprise flickering in his eyes. He felt a kinship with the lad, and the truth in his words. The idea had merit. "They're my responsibility now, yes." he says slowly. "If your tribe could offer them a better life..." "Well then, let me share this much. Myconids roam the forest over yonder, and they'll attack anyone who intrudes on their territory. I've fought them before - best to wear a mask against their spores." he says, indicating the mushrooms across the lake.    "It shouldn't be possible. Monsters only come from the dungeon. But the strix..." Ingram mutters, mostly to himself. "Tell me... what else did you see?" he demands, but the hermit merely raises an eyebrow and shrugs, rubbing fingers and thumb together as a reminder - nothing came for free. Gen ponders on Usha's reply for a while.  "Maybe... well, if there are monsters appearing outside the tower, that is a worry. Before, there were only some natural predators, easy to subvert if one knows how. Some smoke like this can drive them away, incense from rosewood trees works above ground. Or using mud on your body to subvert your smell. But I do not know if it works for monsters from the tower. Probably not." "But yes... perhaps... I could organize a party to take you there, I'm not sure how, usually people want payment - which I currently don't have. And I cannot contact my tribe easily from here. Sorry, I would like to help..." He lowers his head a bit apologetically.
