  1. Hey guys, we have a lot of time before we start the adventure. Fill out as much of the info on the character sheet that you can...sv throws, to hit, background, height, weight, languages, roll for a trade from the DMG(farmer, furrier, etc.). Using the PHB AD&D1e of course. I will double check the character sheets before we start the adventure...heck, I may even give all of you a flaw! Veteran Old school players help the less experienced players please.

  2. Simply, it's all in the AD&D PHB1e. Everything stands unless it is in house rules. Look up your DEX...add any plus or negative modifiers due to ability score and armor/shield. Take into account your age and race. That's it. Study the PHB. YouTube how to role up a AD&D PC. The mechanics are different. Pump up your Dex if you want a Ranger or such with a lower AC. If it is for you great, if not...no hard feelings. I have only played up to 3rd edition so if your quoting mechanics from anything above that ruleset it does not apply and I am unfortunately oblivious to it.

  3. When it comes to Jessica's living prior living arrangement, you could have been living on the streets fending for yourself after the death of her parents. Maybe the party new your parents and took you in. Possibly befriended by the group as a " little sister" at some point. Remember that you were all living in the City of Greyhawk ( or outskirts of the city). Decide the storyline that works best for you.

  4. Well, call it a house rule. I would be okay if you just picked whatever spells you wanted at each level...automatically. Low level MUs are sooo weak. Choose your one spell and that is just fine with me. No % rolls needed. Also, I trust u guys with your dice rolls no proof necessary. Lastly, a house rule that we used to play with is as follows: A cleric gets a additional spells for having a high W(PHB, page 11, table II) Why should MUs be penalized and not get the have the same thing for INT and being a MUer? So, with your INT 16, I would be okay if you started with 3 total 1st level spells! Once you hit 2nd level, you would then get the additional two 2nd level. I hope your not a purist and offended lol.

  5. Sure, I very much like the idea. Nice backstory. Please play Jessica. She reminds me of Paul's little sister in DUNE. Her name was Alia. Transfer everything to your character sheet. Include background, spells, etc. Roll your gold and start shopping. Use prices in the players handbook. Welcome aboard :)

  6. Hello everyone! My name is John. I started out playing Dungeon and Dragons way back in middle school...like 1982. We would play for 8 hours straight in the basement or garage. Yeah, just like the opening scene of Stranger Things. Typically playing a Human fighter, cleric or my favorite Halfling thief (named Milo Fezziwig). I grew up in Buffalo, N.Y. and moved out to Arizona in 1993. Yeah, I am used to loosing sports teams. I took a huge break for a while and got back into gaming around 5 years ago. I am a Dad of 2 two kids ages 10 and 12. My wife and I are both teachers. Unfortunately, She really isn't in to gaming but the kids will play from time to time. I am a history guy as well and play a lot of World of warships. I just happen to stumble on Myth Weavers so, here we are... eventually I will play as a PC somewhere and my even dabble in 5e or something...although my old school AD&D mind may implode lol.

  7. Thank you very much gents, but I do have a few more noob questions When you start actually posting live is there a separate thread or page for just that...or would I set up a " combat page" on my own by just adding another page at the top. Lastly, do you typically have the players update hardcopies of their characters or use a fillable online character sheet for all to see. Thanks so much for your input Powderhorn :)
