  1. Greetings! My name is Brandon, I'm a thirty-one year old man living and working in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. I've been a huge fan of fantasy and fiction since I started reading as a kid. As a teen I stumbled across a forum .hack (anime based on the concept of being stuck in a high fantasy MMORPG) roleplay community and really enjoyed the concept of creating a character and navigating [The World] alongside other novice (and sometimes not-so-novice) writers. I made a lot of friends and now as someone who aspires to write fantasy (for my own enjoyment, at this point) I find myself reminiscing about those times and seeking something in the same vein. That being said, I have also played a fair amount of Dungeons and Dragons 5e (in person, at my dining room table). I even DMed around ten or so sessions of Mines of Phandelver. Definitely preferred being a player as opposed to the dungeon master, however. I've watched hundreds of episodes of the second and third Critical Role campaigns, so I am fairly confident in my ability to play Dungeons and Dragons at least passably. I might run into a bit of a learning curve when moving from in-person games to play-by-post but am optimistic it won't take much for me to figure it out. A bit more about me: - I have a bachelor's degree in illustration and a large part of my income right now comes from photo-realistic pet portrait commissions in acrylic on canvas. My dream art to create, though, is fantasy and science-fiction. Some role models of mine are Frank Frazetta, Donato Giancola, and Howard Lyon. - My dream has always been to create a career by using my imagination and sharing it with others through art or writing or a mixture of the two. Read a few books by BROM recently and loved how he incorporated his art into fully realized novels. - My day job is in an in-store Wegman's bakery. I spend most of my day throwing frozen loaves of bread into ovens and then slicing, labeling, and bagging them. It's not the most fulfilling of jobs but it lets me (barely) pay my rent so my partner and I can continue to scrape by. I tried full-time art for the majority of 2023 but unfortunately it wasn't sustainable. I look forward to trying again when I have more steady income from my art (or writing, if I can find a way to do that). Anyway, I guess I rambled a bit. Would love to meet people here and learn more about Myth Weavers.
