Greetings. I was reading over your "a mysterious journey" game. Looks rather interesting. I noticed a few things that I might be able to help with in the posts.

You mentioned not having access to a book for d&d. Try "4shared.com" as it has a ton of RPG books in pdf format for free download. Also, try 'dandwiki.com' for some additional info. I've found that several of the 'beast' races posted there are far more balanced than the Savage Species templates.
