Early Life: Habiki and her twin sister Shibaki, were born as twins to House Cynis. Shibaki and Habiki were nearly inseparable, and they studied and trained hard. Shibaki was the first to Exalt a Wood Dragon-Blooded, but nothing changed between the two sisters, though Habiki inevitably fell behind Shibaki in talent and ability. When Habiki failed to get entrance in any of the top tier institutions, Shibaki refused to go to a secondary school without Habiki. The pair obtained books on sorcery and studied with every free moment they had, hoping to reach enlightenment. If Habiki could not be Dragon-Blooded, surely she could master sorcery. Sometimes enlightenment felt so close, every time Habiki felt like she was beginning to understand she would have weeks of nightmares, and the growing enlightenment would slip away.

Exaltation: On Habiki's twenty-second birthday, Habiki went to bed early, crying as she once again failed to reach enlightenment. As twilight fell, Mara came to Habiki's dreams, offering sorcery and power. Habiki took the deal. After a subjective week of torturous nightmares Habiki gained sorcery and Exalted in the same moment.

Except the Exaltation was wrong. Habiki's Exaltation burned not with elemental power, but stolen light. Habiki's first action was to confess to Shibaki, planning to allow Shibaki to kill her. Shibaki refused convincing Habiki that they would find a way to save her from Mara's evil trickery. The pair fled, Shibaki paving the way with blatant lies. The deception would never sustain against much scrutiny, but they encountered a group of mortals fleeing another Dragon-Blooded, almost ready to leave. Habiki and Shibaki joined with them, firing arrows   When Mara sent a flying demon to pick up the pair they told the demon to bugger off.

The demon did not take that well. (Andorion chased it off.)

On Land Again: In the Scavenger Lands the pair parted ways, the pair saying they would return with resources and artifacts. While Mara still haunted Habiki's dreams, she also dreamed of memories from one of a past incarnations, the "Heavenly Witch King." The man had been a true monster, but the memories told them of a manse. One that would have the artifacts and sorcery they needed. On reaching it, the defenses recognized Habiki's spark of Exaltation. It was a trap. When she sat on the "throne," bindings snapped around her, and needles were driven into her brain. Had Shibaki not been there, the Witch King would have erased Habiki and reincarnated in her body. Since Shibaki was there, she tore Habiki free, badly injuring her, but still saving Habiki.

Once Habiki recovered, the pair left, Habiki turning the manse's defenses against itself as the two left. The Wyld Hunt probably noticed the leylines changing as a massive sink hole appeared in the scavenger lands, so the pair fled once more, this time fate leading the pair to the Great Forks.

Great Forks: With both Mara and the Witch King haunting Habiki's dreams, Habiki was despondent. The Witch King's memories showed how so many past Exalts had fallen to madness and corruption. Mara insisted on fulfilling her "bargain," providing continued tutelage to Habiki, even as she corrupted Habiki's mind. Habiki actually learned how to summon demons despite her best efforts. In the Great Forks the pair met with Cathak a dragon-blooded famed for hunting Anathema. She [ooc=told]At least, this is what Habiki got out of it.[/ooc] the pair, that Anathema could maintain themselves, and this pulled Habiki out of her despair. Habiki was not doomed to madness and evil. With Shibaki's help, Habiki could make the world better.

Now: The pair has once again linked back up with Andorion, apologizing that they could not get the resources and artifacts.  Until they can find a way to kill Mara, they will help Andorion build his better nation.

Goals:

1) Kill Mara. Mara has continued to intrude on Habiki's dreams, trying corrupt her mind. Plus, Mara is obviously working with the Witch King.

2) Build a better world for everyone. (Except maybe demons and fae.)

3) Cleanse the world of every trace of the Heavenly Witch King. Every artifact and manse he created needs to be undone. Her exaltation needs to be cleansed of his influence and madness.

Appearance: Habiki appears somewhat sickly, especially for an Exalt. (She has not slept well since she took the deal with Mara.) At times she can seem exhausted, but determination never leaves her emerald eyes. She is slender and most would call her a paragon of beauty, if not put off by her lack of muscle and poor health. Notably, dark tattoos and scars wind their way around her body. To those knowledgeable about such things, they are the sign of her bargain with Mara

Notable Others:

Shibaki: Shibaki is Habiki's twin sister. They are identical twins, but Shibaki appears healthier, has more muscle and is generally more cheerful. She is more physically capable of Habiki, but more limited magically.

(Her enlightenment came from researching an eclectic variety of arcane texts and has the control spell Wood Dragon Claws. Like her sister, Shibaki is better with the bow than with with a sword and better with a sword than with her fists, meaning it sees no use outside of practicing.)

Mara: Mara thought Habiki would be the perfect student for her. Attractive mortal? Check. Dark fate? Check. Weird connection to nightmares and nearing enlightment? Check. Willing to tolerate nightmare torture for magic? Check.

Now, Habiki hates Mara, but that doesn't actually interfere with anything Mara wants, so she's just while she would like Habiki to not hate her, she's not too disappointed. She occasionally shows up in Habiki's dreams to burn knowledge into Habiki though. The process is painful and Mara loves causing pain.

I have a character sheet! Thoughts about what I should add next? I'm still considering making the build a lunar. Should be excellent for building quick shelters. I figure Alchemy can be used for stuff like baking, extracting clay, turning wood into charcoal, turning soft clay into hard bricks, etc, in addition to brewing medicines?

If you do go Lunars there are other stuff to consider, standing with the silver pact, tutelage under a Shahan-Ya (deciding if you are picking Mentor dots or not) or maybe you are going Casteless among the many options. Alchemy is a bit weird on creation, the somewhat magical effects are done by Thaumaturgists (so need to learn their tricks/rituals) and there are alchemical process to make stuff like firedust or fireworks.
