Amon's sharp gaze swept across the assembled crew, the gravity of their mission etched into the lines on his face. "Lub’bisus may be shrewd, but he's not one to tread the path of betrayal. I trust him," Amon remarked, addressing Zemei's concerns with a sense of conviction.

Stepping away from the copilot's seat, Amon rested a reassuring hand on Max's shoulder. "Max, steer us towards the Luxen Import/Export Bazaar. It's a Black Sun front. Contact them and let them know we're here to negotiate Lub’bisus’s cargo release."

Max, displaying his Jedi discipline, simply nodded, the quiet determination evident in his response. As the ship delved into the shadowy depths of one of Coruscant's ventilation shafts—into the area of the undercity known as Night City, hidden beneath the bustling metropolis—Amon couldn't help but think of the layers beneath, where the desperate sought refuge away from prying eyes.

Gathering the crew in the ship's common area, Amon laid out the plan. "Lub’bisus demanded a steep price for the randomizer, part of which involves retrieving cargo at the Luxen Import/Export Bazaar—a Black Sun front in the heart of Night City. We don't know Lub’bisus’s full involvement, so proceed cautiously."

Pausing for emphasis, Amon's gaze grew intense. "Our secondary objective is to hack a Senate terminal using the data stick. We need to unravel what happened on Oncu. The betrayal by our own Clone troopers cannot go unanswered." A shiver ran down his spine as he recalled the haunting events.

Turning his attention to specific assignments, Amon directed Max. "Max, lead the team to recover Lub’bisus’s merchandise. Zemei and Hakai, you're with Max. Anything in the holding area is fair game—we will sell it for your wages and ship upkeep."

His eyes then met Willa's. "Willa, you and Felagi are with me. We'll infiltrate the Senate offices, locate a terminal, and access the data on the memory stick. R4, you're with us too." Amon's voice was steady, aUnderworldPortal.jpg.b01f695cf41725ae0f7f7bef1905c514.jpg commander outlining the path forward.

"Any questions?" he asked, inviting the crew to voice their concerns or seek clarity before they embarked on this perilous journey into the depths of Night City.

spacer.pngMax grinned and nodded, unable to restrain his enthusiasm for leading the team. "Whatever you say, Captain," Zemei replied. The tilt to her helmet let Amon know that she was skeptical of the arrangement. Amon could not help but think of his apprentice. Maxon was from the pits of Night City. Surely, there were remnants in his heart that the young man had not yet released. Trouble for the lad was a distinct possibility. However, Amon had trained him the best of his ability.

Felagi gathered up his pack and his staff. Willa was behind him with a determined look on her fragile face. "Lead the way, Captain," she said.

From their dimly lit landing pad, surrounded by corrupt officials, rogues, and villains from all corners, the two teams broke up. Amon would have to take a public transport closer to the senate district. Presently, a long transport came to rest at their platform. The doors opened and all manner of vermin exited with others crowding in with Amon, Felagi, and Willa. It was dimly lit and smelled little better than the runoff conduits that found their way through the undercity.

I think your intro was a perfect start to Scene 5. Normally, this would probably be more than enough to mark a "session" and trigger a minor milestone. According to the rules in Fate Core: If you have any small change you would like to do, go ahead and declare it at this point.

Minor Milestones

Minor milestones usually occur at the end of a session of play, or when one piece of a story has been resolved. These kinds of milestones are more about changing your character rather than making him or her more powerful, about adjusting in response to whatever’s going on in the story if you need to. Sometimes it won’t really make sense to take advantage of a minor milestone, but you always have the opportunity if you should need to.

During a minor milestone, you can choose to do one (and only one) of the following:

  • Switch the rank values of any two skills, or replace one Average (+1) skill with one that isn’t on your sheet.
  • Change any single stunt for another stunt.
  • Purchase a new stunt, provided you have the refresh to do so. (Remember, you can’t go below 1 refresh.)
  • Rename one character aspect that isn’t your high concept.

It's also time to bring your Fate Points back to their refresh value, and look to see if we want to look for compel opportunities to add one or two. One thing I'm looking at is Amon's Trouble which really hasn't come into play much yet. I gave a little description of Max. I wonder if there is a flashback you can come up with related to Amon's Trouble that will be relevant here? If not now, let's think about that.

Also, being on a Smelly Shuttle Filled with Vermin, there might be an opportunity to create some trouble for a Fate Point.

TEAM TWO: Amon, Willa, and Felagi

Amon.jpeg.27f65a1bd37e8be30934801f2e2551b7.jpegMeanwhile, Amon, Willa, and Felagi found themselves on board a densely packed transport bound for the surface. The craft buzzed with activity, a microcosm of Coruscant's diverse populace. Amon's keen eyes studied the faces of the citizens, discerning the subtle nuances that hinted at their destinies. Among them were those heading off-world, others gearing up for shift work at the Imperial shipyards or other industries on the surface. Each person carried the weight of opportunity and uncertainty, a chance to rise in social and economic standing.

Amon reflected on Maxon's journey, once a street urchin in similar circumstances. Against the Jedi Council's objections, Amon had recognized Maxon's latent connection to the Force and taken him as his second apprentice. The initial years were challenging, as Amon had to cleanse the shadows of Night City from Maxon before imparting the ways of the Force.

The transport suddenly jolted to a halt during its ascent, alerting the passengers. Imperial immigration officials, accompanied by Storm Trooper Bodyguards, boarded the vessel. Dressed in the iconic white power armor with gold shoulder pads denoting their specialty, they requested to see personal data sticks from everyone.

Amon, perplexed, whispered to Willa, "What are they doing here?"

Willa, with a calm demeanor, responded, "Looks like the Emperor has expedited the Imperial Citizen Immigration Act. It's a way of registering all the people in the Empire. You can't buy, sell, trade, or move without a number. Getting off-world is near impossible without a personal data stick."

Amon's confusion prompted more explanation from the diplomat. "Remain calm. Cooler heads will prevail. With luck, we'll be directed to a processing center topside, and we can figure things out there." She placed a reassuring hand on the Jedi Master's shoulder, instilling a sense of composure amidst the uncertainty.

OOC:

I went ahead and posted part of my 2 part post so you can be thinking about it. This might be a good spot where Max has to confront his past, perhaps members of his old gang work here and still hold a grudge to Max leaving, or perhaps it is just his rival in the old gang that did not like him then and does not like him now, either way They know he left to become a Jedi whan Amon Found him.

Not sure if the situation with the imperial Immigration officials might allow me to complicate things with my spark of rebellion aspect or not.

spacer.pngMost of the passengers lowered their gaze as the troopers boarded. The doors closed at the transport began moving once again. One by one and flanked by the intimidating troopers, the official began collecting the data sticks. Each of the passengers surrendered them obediently without hesitation. Naturally, Amon and the others did not have one. The official worked his way towards the three who were trapped in the back of the transport cabin. The low-level light kept the shadows deep, broken by the outside flood lights positioned at even intervals along the mass transport conduit, creating a flickering strobe effect.

One of the passengers started to object, and one of the guards put a fist into his belly. The passenger doubled over and was collected by two other troopers and put immediately in restraints. Most of the other passengers sucked in a breath of surprise, but stood frozen by fear.

“Your data, please,” the sallow bald official demanded with an outstretched hand. “Now, if you would.”

Felagi, unable to see, nonetheless turned to Amon. Willa was as white as Venaltan sand.

Let's see how you want to approach this. If It's a Jedi Mind Trick kind of thing, you can assume a Will of +2. I would roll that against any attempt...but you can do all sorts of things. I also added a point because it already represents a compel on Galactic Upheaval and the Rise of the Empire. It's a problem because Amon has no personal data stick, counterfeited or real...and any records of him will likely create a big problem.

Amon.jpeg.27f65a1bd37e8be30934801f2e2551b7.jpegThe sudden appearance of Imperials gave Amon pause. The Jedi Master had not expected them to have as much of a presence in Night City as on the surface. "After all, the Dark Sun crime syndicate mostly controlled the undercity." His thoughts were broken up by the imperial officer standing before his group.

“Your data, please,” the sallow bald official demanded with an outstretched hand. “Now, if you would.”

The Jedi master began to rummage through his outer garment in a fake attempt to locate his data stick. His modified clone trooper armor was visible to those around him as he searched. Amon suddenly seems to remember where it is and sort of quickly waves his hand toward the gathered imperials.

“Ah, I have given it to you already and you just cleared us.”

OOC:

Goiong to try and use a Jedi Mind trick on them to get past this situation My will is +0 so I need to make a will check and beat a +2 correct?
