Personality

Bombastic and keen to explore, dealing with Krez is... An experience. He flits from one topic to another at the drop of a hat, rarely focusing on anything for long. While he genuinely wants to help folks, his plans to help, if he has any, tend to be haphazard and made up on the fly.

World

The Wicked Wastes, a desolate world of bones and breath, stands as a lawless planet marred by incessant warfare and turmoil. Amidst the chaos wrought by robbers, robber barons, and local monsters, a handful of individuals endeavor to eke out an honest living in this forsaken wasteland. It's an arduous task, given the inhospitable nature of the land. The competition for vital resources like water mines and arable land is fierce, with bands of mercenaries and outlaws engaged in a relentless struggle for survival and wealth.

Adding to the challenges is the history of this once-advanced world, now reduced to ruins after the endless fighting. Occasionally, remnants of machinery protrude from the sands, revealed by the ever-shifting wind. While some basic technology has been reverse-engineered, the more sophisticated artifacts have ceased to function properly. Nonetheless, resourceful inhabitants have managed to breathe life into smaller fragments, cobbling together makeshift weaponry and clanking war machines infused with magic and ingenuity.

History

Life amongst ruins

Hailing from a Monkey Goblin clan that dwelled amidst the remnants of a grand machine, Krez faced the challenge of sustenance in their unconventional habitat. Although they had access to water from the depths of the ruins, procuring food proved to be a formidable task, even by goblin standards of "food".

Assigned the role of a scavenger, Krez was among those regularly dispatched into the wilderness to hunt and gather materials for the clan. Upon returning from one such expedition, he discovered that a band of marauders had forcibly expelled his clan from the ruins, leaving him and fellow scavengers bereft of support. Faced with a dire situation, some of the scavengers chose to align themselves with the marauders, while others, including Krez, dispersed in different directions, carried away by the whims of fate.

Introduction to the wider Multiverse and becoming a Realmwarden

Krez spent the next few months wandering. Then, one day, he happened to spot something most unusual: A man in strange clothing stepping out from a hole in the air. Deciding to shadow this... Traveller, he would follow the unusual man for the next week, observing his activities from afar. Other than the unusual means of their arrival, however, there didn't seem to be much interesting about the man. Before Krez got bored of just following this weird traveller, however, the man arrived in the makeshift camp he had set up while watching.
"So, you're the one who's been following me since I arrived? Curious. What are the chances I run into another Gatewalker when I came to catalogue this world..."

"...The hell's a gatewalker?"

Just wanted to check, as I've already reviewed your other character and didn't know whether that one had completely fallen out of favor with you or not. I will go ahead and mark it off the list of submissions then.
