Orphaned from birth, Matuq never knew the faces or identity of his parents. Instead, the half-orc has always regarded Joram Kyte as his adoptive father, having been brought in and raised under the roof of Torch's Temple of Brigh for as long as he can recall.
Apprenticing under the priest of Brigh gave him an opportunity to work directly with Khonnir Baine, as the priesthood collaborated closely with the genius inventor in the construction of the first and only water purification facility in town.
Having had a taste of the unconventional use of mechanics combined with arcane magic, Matuq obtained permission from Joram Kyte to continue his studies under Val's father, and continues currently to assist in the maintenance and monitoring of Crowfeather Palace. |
