Race  Tenebrate
Calling Sneak
History Black Glove CavalierYou are an aspiring member of Night Haven’s Black Glove order, an aristocratic organization dedicated to the Profound Darkness. You have had dealings with dark creatures and powers. (Designer's Blog PostBlog Post:

The Black Glove Cavaliers answer directly to Night Haven's Duke of Red Roses, acting as his eyes and ears. While rumors and speculation of what their true purpose is run rampant, it's actually more straightforward than what many assume: the cavaliers investigate conspiracies and schemes and are expected to do their utmost to make sure no harm befalls the citizens of their home isle. The broad nature of this task leads to a great deal of variance in temperament and restraint among their members.

Abilities
Light FootedAs one might expect, you are especially nimble. You can move through terrain that impedes others and
scale surfaces with deceptive ease.

You are unaffected by Isolated (p250) and Precarious (p251) Battlefeld Conditions.

You are able to climb vertical surfaces with the slightest of foot holds without being slowed down or requiring a Check.
, FurtiveYou are so used to skulking around in the shadows that you conduct yourself with a habitual stealth.

You always gain the beneft of Stealthy Movement (p234) while Exploring, even if your Team is using a different Movement Type.

You have an Edge on Stealth rolls while acting as a Scout on a Journey (p228) or Exploring (p233).
, Sticky FingersWhile you would prefer the term ‘Treasure Hunter’ to ‘Thief’, you’re skilled in relieving others of their possessions — even in the midst of battle.

You can attempt to take an item from an individual in the same Battlefeld Area as you after you perform a successful Attack, Attack Stunt, or Combat Trick on them.

The item you can acquire is limited by the following:

It cannot be armor, an outft or something currently being held by the target.

It must be something within your reach. A worn locket or ring would count, something sealed away in a backpack would not.

It cannot occupy more than 2 Inventory Slots.

--> Requires a Deftness Check
Success: You snatched it

Armour (Light), Melee (Standard, Concealed, Quick, Master), Missile (all)

Allegiance
1 Dark Allegiance Point
Dark Gifts (Melodious VoiceYour voice can now make even harsh words sound soothing.)

Holy IconHoly Icons are objects that allow mortals to focus their faith to briefy repel unearthly creatures. These can be holy symbols, but also items loaded with sentiment or meaning. For example, sacred prayer chains or a childhood toy.

You can use your Action to boldly present your Holy Icon in an attempt to ward off Asura, Devas, Undead, Unshaped, or any creature with 4 or more Bright or Dark Allegiance Points.

Requires an Aura Contest
- Success: The unearthly one cannot direct an Attack at you as long as you continue presenting your Icon.

- Failure: They laugh at your pathetic gesture. You cannot
attempt to repel them again for 24 hours. Your GM may render an Icon ineffective when held by someone who does not believe strongly in what the Icon represents.
(Darkfire Circlet) (1 slot)
Shadow StoneThese smooth, tear-shaped stones are believed to be fossilized blood droplets from the Dark Dragon of the 3rd
Cataclysm. Those who carry these profane relics are mistrusted.

When exposed, the Stone casts darkness up to 20 ft from the source. A Battlefeld Area the stone is in becomes Obscured (p251).

The Stone pushes actual sunlight away and provides shelter to those who cannot endure the daylight.

While a Stone touches your skin you temporarily gain +1 Dark Allegiance Point.

Background

Revised Background:

Kelsey is a high school senior who should be thinking about college applications, her grades, and then everything else, and, according to her mom, strictly in that order. But she's in love: with Dynasty. She's a complete geek for everything she can devour on the subject, and her forum handle is a little famous -- ButterflyHurricane97. Her parents divorced a long time ago, and, would you know, her dad works as a senior developer at the MMO developer of the newest Dynasty. Actually, it's not a coincidence. He's how she heard about the game.

She's slumming with him for a couple of months. They always used to love gaming together, but he's been surprisingly mum about his work. When she found a beta test ticket left in his home office, she couldn't resist, and he has the best gear lying around. This was her chance to get an inside scoop, maybe release the next internet sensation and become insta-famous.

She wants to find out all the game's secrets and have fun doing it. So she decided to play a Sneak working for the mysterious (and edgy) Black Glove Cavaliers was exactly in order.

And guess what: she's can already tell she's going to love it. She'll worry about being caught later, and that exam on Monday is forever from now.

Original Background (we can use this if better - I just noticed it overlapped with another application the other day.)

Kelsey recently broke up with her partner of three years. Once the dramatics were over, she was surprised to discover a newfound sense of freedom and creative license. She quit her job at the time and moved to a new city. Still a graduate just some years into the workforce, Kelsey picked up a job as a librarian at a local library while deciding what to do next. She still has an awe for the stretched stacks of books--a reality that slowly is giving way to spacious meeting rooms, rows of computers, and digital printing stations in the county's progressive demense. Her boss, staid and rather conservative, can range from neglectful to bewilderingly judgmental, but the work is otherwise low stress.

And it's left plenty of time to get into Dynasty. An avid gamer from a young age, she stumbled on Dynasty after it was too late to play. She found the concept thrilling, often reading forums and viewing videos online. When she received her ticket, she took a four day weekend for the Beta and jumped right into the game. A lover of puzzles and elaborate game lore, she decided that playing a Sneak working for the Black Glove Cavaliers would give her a chance to have fun and explore the game world's secrets.
