Background

Lothar was born and raised in the picturesque village of Suturoth, nestled in the northern reaches of the Andaroni island group. From a young age, he was captivated by the legends of Agerantorix, the noble bronze dragon who sacrificed himself for the people of Suturoth. The tales of bravery, sacrifice, and protection instilled in Lothar a deep sense of reverence for his cultural heritage and a desire to carry on the traditions of his ancestors.

Under the guidance of the village skald, Lothar began his journey to become a lore keeper, dedicating himself to preserving the stories and songs of his people. As he delved deeper into the lore of Agerantorix, Lothar felt a stirring within him, a connection to the ancient dragon that transcended mere storytelling. It was as if the spirit of Agerantorix lived on within him, guiding him towards a greater understanding of his own potential.

As a young adult, Lothar felt the call of adventure and set out from Suturoth to broaden his horizons and gain worldly knowledge. He traversed the lands of Andaron, joining groups of adventurers, honing his skills as a bard, and immersing himself in the diverse cultures of the island kingdoms. Along the way, he worked as a shipbuilder, gazing out at the vast expanse of the ocean with a sense of longing and wonder.

Lothar's journey led him to the college of Queenston, where he studied astrology and delved into the mysteries of the stars. He was hired by the Queen's royal huntsman to track and hunt sea monsters, using his knowledge of celestial navigation to navigate the treacherous waters with skill and precision.

But it was during his time as a spy for the Queendom of Andaron, tasked with gathering information on the Empire of Rodana, that Lothar's true calling began to reveal itself. He witnessed firsthand the devastation wrought by war and the suffering of innocent people caught in the crossfire. It was then that he realized his destiny lay not just in preserving the stories of the past, but in shaping the future for generations to come.

Returning to his village, Lothar shared his tales of adventure and knowledge with his fellow Suturothians, reaffirming his place as their skald and lore keeper. But as tensions between Andaron and Iverina escalated, threatening to engulf Suturoth in conflict, Lothar knew he could not stand idly by.

Determined to aid the war effort on the side of Andaron, Lothar set out once again, seeking a way to lend his skills and knowledge to the cause. It was then that he heard of the privateers of the vessel Swift Vengeance, seeking officers to join their crew in harassing the shipping of Iverina. Seeing an opportunity to make a difference, Lothar made his way to their last known location, ready to embark on a new chapter of adventure and heroism on the high seas.

I'm only skimming character threads at the moment, but I did notice you took Nymph's Kiss, which has a role-playing requirement:

How did you want to handle that if you're aboard ship and travelling?

Also, I don't see any mention of Dream Weaver.

I really need answers to my questions before I can proceed with the interview thread, plus a new one: does the recommendation letter say more than "excellent boatbuilder, has magical lyre" (that is, any more than lothar has mentioned)?
