Background
Born as a native of Chogoris, Degei was part of a nomadic tribe. During his early adolescent, he helped his father managing the herd. One time, when they returned late at night to the ger camp, they happened to notice a raiding party and he recklessly charged into the party. This caused enough confusion and noise that the camp could prepare themselves and fend off the attackers. This action not only brought him a commendation of the tribes chief, the valiant action also caught the ear of the White Scars, and they allowed him to participate in the trials. Through skill, determination and luck, he survived and thrived, allowing him to become a Neophyte.
Now, 10 years after he has participated in the Blooding where he became a full Astartes. During that time he has seen much battle, but mostly within smaller actions, with a few of his legion brothers at his side. He has yet to participate in the large scale battles the Crusade is known for, and mostly participated in exploratory scouting and raiding actions.

Description
Degei is relatively small and lithely build. For an Astartes that is, he is still easily 2m tall. He has chestnut brown hair of medium length, and a short, well-kept beard. His face is round and and he has a rather flat nose. A large white scar runs across it, splitting off half-way and joining at the end. Below thick eye-brows are a pair of fierce brown-eyes. When out of armour, he wears a practical, mostly unadorned traditional deel. His Mark 4 Crusade Armour is white except for the various insignia and emblems, and adorned with various charms and reliquaries. In addition, various components are replaced with parts which seem to have blood stains embedded within them, impossible to remove. The armour also whines and shrieks when moving, especially the jump pack grumbles and screeches when activated, creating eerie and frightening sound.
