What Are You Watching?

Fallout. Just watched the episode and was tentatively impressed by it, it seemed to at least be respectful of the lore behind the series even if some of the protagonist characters seemed particularly unlikeable. We'll see how it goes as I get further into it and whether or not the characters grow on me, I hope so!

I can't believe everyone isn't talking about this already, but Shogun is effing fantastic. I'm five episodes in, and it's just a masterpiece so far.

I find it a good show, but I don't think it is that good. Maybe I am comparing my experience with the book, which I absolutely loved.

I loved the book, too, although it's been around 30 years since I read it.

I watched Aliens for probably the 829th time last night. I continue to regard it as an absolute masterclass in screenwriting and filmmaking for sci-fi action movies.

It's also one of the best dungeon crawls in movie history, albeit a sci-fi dungeon.

The xenomorphs as a species are also one of the great monsters of movie history.

In short, Aliens should be required viewing for all game masters. If you've never watched it through that lens (or if somehow you've never seen it) Grab some popcorn and sit back while James Cameron shows you how it's done.

I think the original TV Series from 1980 was better, but it's old... way older then me.

But Sanada-san is very good as Lord Toranaga in the new series. :)
