Sorry, I added a note in the Character Generation information about game start. It will kick off on day 1 of pandemic. So reasons to be in Deltaville VA and initial gear would reflect pre-pandemic reasoning.

I was a Reservist. They don’t get issued anything to take home. So all weapons would be personal gear only. Most people would not be heavily armed as a normal situation unless on the job, so it would need a good explanation for why he would need to be carrying so many weapons to visit friends.

The horse is also unrealistic and the spear. But probably not difficult to acquire later. However you did not even take Riding skill.

I would not stress about not having optimal zombie fighting gear, because acquiring things will be part of the game itself.

Picture what London would be having with him and doing based on the pandemic being a surprise. That will be the situation at game start.

 

Looking at his skills, he looks like a Private, not a SSgt, there is no indication of any leadership or intelligence in his Traits/Skills/Edges. Marine NCO would have Battle Skill, Driving, Basic First Aid, Intimidation, Survival perhaps

What’s he studying in college? Academics Skill.
What are his plans for the real world since he is not Active Duty?

That might help round out his flexibility instead of being only a jarhead grunt that never even learned to drive. This game will not be a zombie shoot them up video game, but require problem solving as well.

The template for the pc sheet was copied from another game. The equipment hasn't been adjusted yet. I'm currently playing in a game rn and unable to finish the pc sheet. WIP

I plan to Tiger Woods this young man using his specialized skill set to provide solutions in the oncoming outbreak. He'll require others to survive and vice versa. Everyone has their roles in life, that's my view.

If Uncle Bob is going to be used in the plot, I shall need more on his location and what you have in mind for this estate. Or we can skip using it if you and the other PCs decide to never go there, then it will not matter.
