Psychological profile:

Raaol Whiskerdust possesses a spirited and feisty demeanor, refusing to tolerate any form of disrespect or belittlement from others. He carries himself with a confident air, aware of his strengths and limitations, which keeps him grounded in dangerous situations. Despite his fiery nature, Raaol values humility, understanding that arrogance can lead to grave consequences in the unpredictable cosmos.

A notable quirk of Raaol is his penchant for collecting odd and intriguing objects during his travels. His quarters are adorned with a variety of seemingly useless trinkets acquired from across the planes, each holding a story or memory that sparks his curiosity.

Above all, Raaol harbors an intense aversion towards clowns, stemming from a traumatic encounter with spacefaring jesters who boarded the Atomic Meteor. The mere sight of exaggerated faces and painted smiles sends a shiver down his spine, a reminder of the chaos and terror he endured.

Driven by a desire for eternal existence, Raaol seeks longevity both in body and spirit. His experiences in the void and encounter with the Raven Queen have instilled in him a deep reverence for the concept of eternity. He yearns to defy mortality, viewing life as a fleeting gift to be cherished and extended through any means necessary.

Raaol's unwavering bond revolves around seeking justice for the betrayal he suffered at the hands of Captain Malhor. The sense of betrayal fuels his determination to confront and exact vengeance upon the one who abandoned his crew, instilling a deep-seated loyalty to those who have faced similar treachery.

Curiosity is both Raaol's greatest asset and his Achilles' heel. His insatiable thirst for knowledge and exploration often leads him into perilous situations. Raaol's tendency to investigate the unknown, regardless of the risks, has earned him the nickname "Curiosity" among his fellow adventurers—a reminder that his unyielding curiosity may one day prove fatal.

Despite his outward bravado, Raaol's fear of failure and loss drives him to push himself beyond reasonable limits. His determination to prove himself worthy of his parents' legacy and seek retribution consumes him, occasionally clouding his judgment and putting himself and others in jeopardy.

Backstory:

Raaol Whiskerdust was born aboard the Hammer Class Spelljammer known as the "Atomic Meteor," amidst the stars and cosmic wonders of the universe. His parents, seasoned crew members of the ship, made the decision to return to their home planet of Feline to raise Raaol and immerse him in their rich Mews culture.

Growing up on Feline, Raaol's childhood was filled with tales of adventure and exploration from his parents' experiences aboard the Atomic Meteor. They spoke fondly of their charismatic and resourceful captain, Malhor, a Hadozee known for his quick wit and daring escapades in the void.

At the age of adolescence, the Atomic Meteor returned to Feline for resupply. This visit allowed Raaol to meet Captain Malhor in person, igniting a spark of admiration and yearning for adventure within him. While his parents chose to remain planetside, Raaol surprised everyone by volunteering to join the crew as a cabin boy.

Captain Malhor, initially hesitant to take on such a young crew member, was swayed by Raaol's determination and the proud approval of his parents. Thus, Raaol began his journey among the stars, learning the ropes of ship life and picking up various skills necessary for survival in the vastness of space.

As Raaol matured into a young adult, he faced the harsh realities of space travel firsthand. During a fateful voyage near Toril, their ship was ambushed by carnivorous Space Clowns. The crew fought valiantly, but Captain Malhor unexpectedly disappeared using a mysterious talisman, leaving the crew to fend for themselves.

Amidst the chaos, Raaol made a desperate decision to leap into the void rather than face the clowns' gruesome fate. His last moments were filled with hatred and a thirst for vengeance. In the depths of death, Raaol encountered the Raven Queen, who offered him a chance for revenge against Captain Malhor. The only requirement was that he would have to pursue the captain, and to offer the traitor soul to her once he would have defeated him. The Queen whispered to his ear that Melhor had a secret that she was particularly coveted...

Raaol awakened on Toril, granted a dark weapon by the Raven Queen herself. Determined to fulfill his oath, Raaol spent years traversing Faerun, mastering his newfound abilities and seeking any clues that would lead him to Malhor. He ventured through dangerous lands, from the Sword Coast to the depths of Baldur's Gate, joining adventuring parties and taking on quests to sustain himself and gather information.

Despite years of searching, Raaol remains driven by his quest for vengeance and the promise he made to the Raven Queen. His experiences have shaped him into a formidable adventurer, blending Mews gracefulness with the dark powers gifted by the Queen of Death. Now in Baldur's Gate, Raaol continues his relentless pursuit, hoping one day to confront Captain Malhor and settle the score that has haunted him across the realms.

Important people:

  1. Thalia "Thorn" Nightshade: A half-elven rogue and skilled infiltrator, Thorn crossed paths with Raaol during a heist-gone-wrong in Waterdeep. Initially skeptical of the Mew's abilities, Thorn soon recognized Raaol's resourcefulness and combat prowess. The two formed an unlikely partnership, sharing a mutual disdain for authority and a knack for acquiring elusive artifacts. Thorn often teases Raaol about his "curiosity cabinet," but secretly admires his tenacity and loyalty.

  2. Argus Stonefist: A grizzled dwarven warrior and veteran of the Underdark, Argus became Raaol's mentor during a perilous expedition into the depths of Faerun's subterranean realms. Despite their contrasting backgrounds, Argus saw potential in Raaol's determination and thirst for knowledge. The dwarf taught Raaol valuable survival skills and the importance of camaraderie in the face of darkness. Raaol considers Argus a father figure, and they share a bond forged in the depths of adversity.

  3. Elowen Evergreen: A gentle-spirited elven druid with a deep connection to nature, Elowen and Raaol crossed paths during a quest to protect an ancient forest from encroaching darkness. Elowen's serene demeanor and wisdom served as a calming influence on Raaol's impulsive nature. She introduced him to the subtle magic of the natural world, concept he easily connected considering the region of his own people, which are nature Dieties. Raaol often sought Elowen's counsel when grappling with existential questions about mortality and eternity.

  4. Kaela Shadowstar: A mysterious tiefling sorceress with a dark past, Kaela first encountered Raaol in a shadowy tavern in Baldur's Gate. Drawn together by shared ambitions and a mutual distrust of authority, they formed a tenuous alliance that evolved into a deep friendship. Kaela's arcane knowledge and cunning strategies complement Raaol's combat skills, making them a formidable duo in the face of formidable foes. Despite their differences, Raaol sees Kaela as a confidante and ally in his quest for vengeance.

  5. Captain Greybeard: A seasoned halfling sailor and former pirate, Captain Greybeard embodies the adventurous spirit that Raaol admires. The two met during a voyage across the Sea of Swords, where Raaol served as the ship's artillerist. Captain Greybeard regaled Raaol with tales of daring escapades and treasure hunts, fueling Raaol's desire to chart his own destiny among the stars. Though separated by the vastness of the multiverse, Raaol regards Captain Greybeard as a symbol of freedom and the boundless possibilities of the open seas.

@Cointhief Good day. I believe I completed the backstory and basic elements of the character. Just need to tackle the crush.

May I know what you think so far, if there is there any changes or adjustment to do. I want to give you a complete character, that gonna fit with your story and expectation.

Many thanks

I like it. Nothing there that would interfere with anything. Totally optional, but if you have the inspiration sometime a short narrative which includes Raaol's voice would be nice.

Inside the bustling Emerald tavern, Raaol Whiskerdust sits at a wooden table surrounded by friends and fellow adventurers. The air is alive with laughter and the joyful sounds of camaraderie. Raaol's friends include Thorn the roguish troublemaker, Argus the grizzled dwarf, Elowen the serene druid, and Kaela the enigmatic sorceress. They've just returned from a harrowing quest, their spirits high with the thrill of victory.

"Hey, Raaol, how about a drink to celebrate our latest victory?" Thorn tips his chair back and forth, a habit that's led to many falls but hasn't deterred him yet.

Raaol grins, his feline fangs glinting in the tavern's warm light. "Aye, bring me the strongest brew they've got in this place!"

Thorn flashes a mischievous smile, knowing exactly how to ruffle Raaol's fur. "Actually, I thought you might enjoy something different tonight. How about a nice, cold glass of milk?"

Raaol's grin fades into a discontented grimace, his ears twitching back in irritation. "Seriously, Thorn? SERIOUSLY? You're still offering me a glass of milk? For the last time: I'm not a filthy house cat."

Thorn's amusement only grows as Raaol takes the bait. "Awww, come on, Raaol! Live a little! Nine wizards on ten says it is good for your bones."

Raaol grumbles in defeat, his annoyance palpable. "You know what! Fine! But only because I know you'll never let me hear the end of it if I refuse."

As Thorn heads to the bar to place the order, Raaol continues to grumble about the absurdity of the situation, voicing his exasperation at Thorn's audacity to treat him like a common pet. Moments later, Thorn returns with a tall glass of milk, the frothy white liquid stark against the tavern's dim lighting. He sets it down in front of Raaol, mischief sparkling in his eyes.

"Here you go, Raaol. Drink up, my good little kitty."

Raaol sighs dramatically, shooting Thorn a murderous glare before begrudgingly conceding. "Alright... I'll take the damn glass of milk."

He picks up the glass reluctantly, eyeing it suspiciously before raising it to his lips. Around the table, his companions are stifling laughter, eagerly awaiting Raaol's reaction.

Argus the Dwarf chuckles and offers encouragement. "Bottoms up, lad! Don't knock it 'til you've tried it."

The tavern falls silent for a moment as all eyes are on Raaol. He takes a tentative sip, then another, and his ears began to twitching from the surprisingly pleasant taste.

Raaol admits with mock defeat, "Well, I'll be damned... it's not half bad."

His friends burst into laughter, teasing Raaol good-naturedly as he finishes the glass of milk. Kaela raises her tankard in a toast.

"To Raaol, the bravest adventurer in all the realms—conqueror of dungeons and drinker of milk!"

Elowen smiles warmly and adds, "Here's to many more victories, and maybe a few more glasses of milk along the way."

Amidst the laughter and camaraderie, Raaol can't help but join in, realizing that these moments of lighthearted banter with his friends are just as cherished as the thrill of adventure. Together, they raise their glasses in celebration of friendship and the success of their last quest, knowing it would be their last together for a while, as all of them had some responsibilities elsewhere to attend.

@Harding Hey, can you run me through your ability score decisions? It looks like maybe you are slightly over. I am seeing a +2 from custom lineage and a +1 from skill expert. I believe this only gets you to 17 charisma without going over 27.
