Basics

Name:  Tina Topps

Playbook:  The Mundane

Look:  Young woman, alluring eyes, casual clothes

Pronouns:  She/her

Basic Description:  Tina is slender, with fair skin, shockingly grey hair, and blue-almost-black eyes.  She isn't especially strong or tough, but almost exudes confidence anyway.  Unearned confidence, totally unjustified by her actual abilities, but still.  She is quick to smile, somewhat sarcastic, and a bit too flirty for her own good.  Tina tends to dress in simple clothes that set off her hair and dark eyes, so she goes for monochromatic, from light grays to darker shades fading into black.  Her motorcycle is more of a sport-bike than a cruiser, a black Kawasaki Ninja, relatively old, but she takes care to keep it clean and shiny, spending time repairing the inevitable dings and scratches this life gives it.

Background

Tina grew up in a upper-middle-class family, her father was an actuary, her mother an attorney.  She never lacked for anything as a child, and had a generally unremarkable time of it.  In High School, Tina was a cheerleader, took some martial-arts to improve her balance, but didn't take anything too seriously.  She was bright enough, but didn't stand out for her intelligence, sat at the popular kids' table but didn't really see any bullying or abuse, either as a perpetrator or a victim.

When she went to college, Tina studied Political Science, but wasn't the best student in the world.  It was a slight shock to her, since the coursework was harder, but she generally got by, made friends, joined a sorority that helped her find the easiest classes to take, the professors that were easiest to manipulate, gave her access to old tests to study for the classes she couldn't get by without work.  In essence, she got by mostly through her own political capital, using social engineering unconsciously to continue to gain advantages.  Tina had a gift at foreign languages, found them to be easier than most classes since she didn't need to know anything, just read and talk to people intelligently at a basic level.

After college, she got an internship with the DHS, with a goal of working herself into the Department of State and eventually entering into the Foreign Service, a member of the diplomatic corps.  Along the way, however, she was exposed to a goblin uprising, and learned that there was more to the world than she had been prepared to believe.  Hours of debriefs later, she found herself attached to the Office of Interstate Transport Safety, still an intern and without any special authority, hunting monsters.
