As Lars draws his short sword at the ready, Noriko lifts up her starknife and rides forward, but her vocalization of the horse's name seems to have confused it some, and it hesitantly stops just within the wolf's reach, clattering its hooves anxiously. That is until… "እንቅልፍ…" While Bianca begins to recite the words to a spell, she watches Azura slash out with her wicked long ōdachi to stab one of the wolves, piercing it across the chest followed by a savage bite in the animal's right flank, ripping out a chunk of furry hide between her teeth and leaving it to squelch and whine pitifully. With a loud roar, Kaichar passes by the same wolf to spread his enlarged self open, intimidating the nearest three into a fearful retreat. Sandru's horse instinctively trots up to trample the wolf with its hoof, but landed a split second too late. Whether it was the sudden and deafening gesture from Kaichar, or the fact that some of the wolves now seem to have been spooked, Darhana's arrow unfortunately misses its mark.
