Lore of Disney Verse

Recommended Posts

Greetings Friends Welcome to the Disney Verse, where all the stories of the Disney kingdoms have been gathered and compiled into one world of existence. The world itself is stable, and the kingdoms are at peace after dealing with their villains and other troublemaking things but like all stories just because one book finishes with a 'happy' ending doesn't mean that's the end. The kingdoms continue to exist and through various envoys and ambassadors, the various kingdoms trade knowledge and other resources with each other so that all flourish, and every so often a collaboration of kingdoms results in big projects, academies of magic and knowledge, military camps for training the next generation of heroes for combat and even guilds for people to learn and practice various professions but for all this to exist there has to be something else in existence and that is the villains and their land of darkness

One thing certain people of this world have discovered is that this world has a system of magic in play that even if someone 'dies' their existence doesn't end and they are for the most part revived. This includes the various villains and other troublemakers but instead of being allowed to roam the kingdoms they caused trouble in, the villains are 'banished' to their own kingdom, the land of darkness, a sort of land of villainy that exists to balance out the various kingdoms of light and good and for the most part that even that dark land is quiet. Sure anyone who visits there has to watch their back for a thug itching for a fight or a thief just practicing their pickpocket skills but those who live in that dark land have come to a consensus, It could be a lot worse. Here they have the freedom to exist how they choose not held back by morals or social rank but can live by their own will and strength and they can respect one another for their strength. Magic sustains the land and allows people to exist without too much hardship and peace is maintained because of respect for one another. However, despite these claims of peace, One can't be too careful when dealing with a villain.

You are a resident of this world and have a dream to make a name for yourself like some of the greats both hero and villain who have come before you but one must always heed this warning, What goes around comes around.

Lands of the Disney Verse

Lands of the Disney Verse

Kingdoms of Light - A collection of kingdoms that all have their tales told in stories. Each kingdom has its own ruler or authority but have agreed to create a cooperation between them that allows trading of knowledge, resources and other things.

Royal Colleges – These houses of knowledge are the places where everyone goes to learn magic, swordplay and other things to be able to advance themselves. Royal and Nobles houses have a strong influence over these colleges but in recent times, the common folk have been allowed to learn trades so that they can improve as well. Notable colleges include the Prince and Princess Academies, The Mage Towers, The Guilds, and The Training Grounds.

Prince and Princess Academies – These education institutions for royal heirs are the home away from home for many a prince or princess who are learning skills to be able to take charge of their kingdoms once their parents decide to allow them to rule. Separated into two campuses by gender there are many rules built to keep the princes and princesses separate at least in a housing sense but interaction between the two groups is known in the other colleges.

The Mage Towers – Magic is everywhere in the kingdoms and beyond and these towers were built so that people could learn about magic and be able to both defend against it and use it. Recently a new form of magic known as technomagic has been developed to work with the discovery of modern and advanced technology from places beyond the kingdoms.

The Guilds – A massive set of buildings home of various of Guild Masters and other people who know a particular craft be it smithing, cooking, weaving, etc. People who want to learn a trade come here to master their trade.

The Training Grounds – A wide open field with a few buildings where people learn how to fight using armor, swords, shields and other marital weapons including crossbows and axes. Horse Riding and other land vehicle skills are also learned here.

The Kingdoms

Agrabah – A desert gem of a kingdom that has a large river running along the western border. An expansive desert covers most of its other borders. Long traveling a day or two in a direction has you winding up in another kingdom. East sends you to the Land of Dragons, South has you arriving in the Pride Lands and North eventually has you arriving at Seacoast Kingdom, although many who travel the sea and air say that the Sea Coast Kingdom is northwest of Agrabah. Western travel has you cross the river and the Great Sea and head towards Greece which is at a south western point. Agrabah is currently ruled by the Sultana-Regnant Jasmine and her Husband Aladdin.

Land of Dragons – A long journey to the east from Agrabah has you wind up in a massive country known as the Land of Dragons, The people of this land celebrate a recent victory over a warlord named Shun Yu who tried to kill their emperor but was stopped and literally rocketed out of the kingdom by a nobleman’s daughter named Mulan and her guardian ‘dragon’ Mushu who took her aging father place in the army by pretending to be a man (woman were forbidden to serve) Marked as the savior of all China, Mulan has been given a position of high rank within the Land of Dragon and is often used as an envoy to the other kingdoms.

Polynesia - A collection of islands in the sea south and East of the Land of Dragons that is home to Moana and her tribe.

Hawaii - a set of self-governing islands far east of the Land of Dragons who seem to often have visitors from beyond the sky, This has given them quite a bit of technological know how and they were able to reconnect with some neighbors from distant lands.

Pride Lands/Deep Jungles – South of the Arabian Desert, When sand turns to rocky cliffs you’ve arrived at the Pride Lands, hang a right (west on a map) and you’ll eventually reach Pride Rock, a massive stone structure on a savanna that is home to a pride of talking lions, hang a left (east on a map) and you’ll find yourself in a Jungle Oasis known as Hakuna Matata, go further and you’ll realize the land is a massive jungle home to a wide variety of animals but also a few settlements of humans seemingly from different time periods, some native, some more ‘civilized’. Most humans from other kingdoms claim that the Pride Lands and Deep Jungles doesn’t have a ruler but various outsider hunters who go there for their hunts of wild animals quickly realize that the land is protected by a divine force of balance known as the Circle of Life or the Law of the Jungle. This force empowers the animals especially the lions giving them voices and divine powers and if the hunters are marked for taking too much, the animals are quick to ‘correct’ the imbalance. In the Hakuna Matata Oasis this force is a little more relaxed but there are rumors that even further out there are others who protect the Oasis and other jungle lands both human and animal. South of the Pride Lands starts the Dark Lands but many claim the jungle and pride lands are buffer zones between the kingdoms of Light and the land of darkness

Seacoast Kingdom – A small kingdom on the edge of the Moors that border the northeastern coast of Great Sea. Home of King Eric and Queen Ariel.

The Moors – North of the Seacoast Kingdom, Several other kingdom exist, dubbed the Moor Alliance or the Moors these kingdoms have several royal families and is considered the hub of the Kingdoms of Light and is where sparks of various multi-kingdom projects including the Royal Colleges was lit.

Rose Village – A coastal village that also borders the northern coast of the Great Sea. West of the Seacoast kingdom, Local residents refer it as a provincial town of France claiming similar lineage with those of Paris. The village is overseen by Duke Adams and his wife Belle who live in the nearby castle

Paris – The capital of France and host of the great citadel Norte Dame that is used as a place of worship for a Divine Lord. Overseen by a monarchy along with a ministry of justice and the Norte Dame deacons. The city enjoys a peaceful time of prosperity despite a recent fiery rampage of a certain Judge Claude Frollo who has been since banished from the city. Local heroes include the Norte Dames bell ringer Quasimoto and the street performer Esmeralda.

England – A neighboring kingdom to the north of France, For the longest time the kingdom was without law and order as their main king had died without an heir to the throne. However a miracle created a magical sword in a stone that claimed whoever pulled it from its resting place would be named King of all England, after years of dark ages and no one being able to pull the sword from its resting place. A young lad nicknamed Wart pulled the sword out and fulfilled the prophecy. He became King Arthur and unified the land while a counsel of people manage day to day operations of the kingdom, Arthur has taken up residence in the Royal Colleges to learn both magic and other things including how to fight and wield his magical sword

Dunbroch - A kingdom north of England, that has its own tale to tell about a demon bear cursed because of a prideful prince. The princess of the kingdom Merida has been sent to the princess academy to be able to learn to become a proper princess but the minute she saw the training grounds she vowed to keep doing what she wanted to do which is to train to be a fierce archer, proper princess behavior be damned

Arendelle - A kingdom northeast of England, It was said an everlasting winter plagued this kingdom for the longest time but the winter was broken just as mysteriously as it was formed. Some whispers mention it was an issue with the royal family, but it seems to be solved for now.

Greece – West of the Great Sea lies a collection of city states each favored by an Olympian god, but the collective of residents recognizes all of their pantheon. There’s a lot of creation myths and legends that some say has connections to other lands. The most recent story about their hero Hercules is still quite a buzz. His defeat of Hades and the rampaging titans has earned him some major hero points with local citizens of Greece but his true act of saving Megara from the river Styx and Hades is what made him a god. These days Hercules is helping Phil train new heroes at the training grounds and Megara has taken up a teaching job at the academy's 'ancient' history wing. There are claims that if you go South of Greece you’ll wind up in areas of the land of darkness.

Atlantica – An underwater kingdom of merpeople ruled by Triton, father of Ariel, whose land supposedly covers all of the Great Sea however many have claimed that the further south someone goes on the sea, the less influence Atlantica seems to have over the water and many claim that a line border connecting Greece and Agrabah divides the great sea into Atlantica and the Dark Sea.

Dark Sea – A underwater extension of the land of darkness that was once ruled by Ursula. Ancient Myths of Greece, claim the undersea kingdom of Atlantica was formed when direct descendants of their sea god Poseidon, Triton and Ursula, fought for control of the Great Sea and when Triton defeated Ursula and banished her those that sided with Ursula went south and made her their queen while those who were aligned with Triton stayed to the north and created their undersea kingdom. It is said that Ursula was known to cause trouble so much so that other villains used their collective powers to banish her to another dimension but recent whispers have it that the ‘queen from under the sea’ has returned to her throne.

Land of Darkness – It is unknown when this land was created but those of the pride lands claim wherever the light doesn’t touch is lands not of our own but belongs to those who seek to bring darkness to the world. Filled with various landscapes and towns, The land of darkness is an amalgamation of different places all with a haze that seems to darken the landscape. Two places stand out. Rogues Bluff and Grimhilde’s Castle

Rogueport/Rogues Bluff- A port-style city that is under the shadow of Grimhilde's castle. This city of ‘lawlessness’ is home to every type of lawbreaker and rogue known. It is also the first place where all the kingdoms banish their repeat criminals and villains and they come in droves by ship or are mysteriously teleported there. From there those who are banished can find their place in the darkness and do whatever they can get away with. If they don’t like the crowds of the lawless city or feel like they’ve been given an unfair shake there is a rumor that a certain wizard who lives in the town can send them to another land. While no one claims lordship over the town, If a certain queen in the castle up on the bluff calls for you. You better answer.

Grimhilde’s castle – This castle that overlooks Rogues bluff is owned by the evil queen Grimhilde and is the residence of various well known villains. Often nicknamed the Villains Lair, it is said this castle houses many who plot to bring all the kingdoms of light to their knees.

~~~ New/Modern World? ~~~
If one was to go west of Greece, England, and France, they would find themselves crossing yet another sea. Depending on the method of transportation this crossing could take anywhere from a moment (using teleportation/electronic transmission) to months (crossing by sailing ship). However once they land on the Eastern shorelines they find a new land that is strange yet familiar
Eastern Shores/Jamestown – Arriving at the new world you reach Jamestown, a fortress built on the new world when adventurers first discovered the new world. Once considered claimed by a kingdom of England, this land has since reverted to its native people who live in a nearby community however those natives warn that the land they live in is but a recreation of their own and once you go beyond the great mountains you reach areas that have strange magics and weapons that even the kingdoms of light have barely learned about.
Wild West/ Round Up Plains – Beyond the great mountains of the eastern shores lies a land of plains and rocky deserts. The people who live here say that they were from the eastern shores who went west to discover new lands. Every settlement has law and order with a voted in sheriff who works with others to maintain the land but between those towns you are on your own so watch out for bandits and other troublemakers. One settlement known as Round up Plains is the home of Woody, A sheriff who has recently made friends with a ‘space ranger’ named Buzz Lightyear who recently came on his rocket ship from beyond the sky. However recent discoveries by the duo have revealed different places seem to have sprung up, seemingly overnight some claim, bringing with them technology that is far beyond Woody’s time but is familiar to Buzz as being the old roots of some technology he takes for granted from his time. This has made them and many others who learn of these places wonder how some ‘kingdoms’ are still stuck in the dark ages, while others have modern things and others are so advanced that they solve those kingdoms problems with their technology instantly.
Louisiana/New Orleans – A city connected to the southern part of the wild west that has a level of technology that mark it from the early 1920s. This place is a city overseen by many wealthy people including a wealthy Sugar Mill Baron named Eli La Bouff but is the hometown of a recently made Princess named Tiana who owns her own restaurant with her husband Prince Naveen . This town was once plagued by a Voodoo practitioner named Dr. Facilier who has been ‘taken’ to the other side by his many friends from there, but word has it the Shadowman is up to his old tricks in the Villains Lair.
~~~ West Coast Cooperations ~~~

When you get past some tall mountains west of the wild west, you start to find what appears to be the start of a massive city scape layout, starting with suburban spawls that are closer to the mountains all connecting to big city centers with tall, constructed buildings and extending all the way to a shoreline that connects to yet another great sea that only a few have attempted to cross only to discover that they wind up in the Land of Dragons after crossing past several sets of islands. The people who live in these modern places all claim that it is not their home which is strange but the places that they discovered beyond their eastern horizon when some went to investigate what happened to other far off places they used to be able to talk to on a daily basis suddenly were just not there. Fortunately, with a little time and cooperation these modern cities have made their own Collective Cooperative Government that organized boundaries, setup different areas for food production and other basic necessaries, a common currency and have made agreements with their plain land neighbors and have connected with the other local settlements using their digital communication grid. There are plans to extend this network to the kingdoms of light but the technological level of the kingdoms is so low that only a few have been able to develop and use a magic system that can read and transmit electronic communication and right this moment the only active connection in the kingdoms is at the Mage Towers but there are rumors that one can be sent to Rogue’s Bluff as well

Greater Los Angeles Metropolis – This massive collection of cities boasts to being one of big cooperations landwise extending from their main city Los Angeles to the eastern mountain range separating the wild west from the West Coast and south until it seems to come up against an empire in the land of darkness that appears to be a mirror reflection of the big city. It is the location of the Tron Mainframe which hosts a massive virtual world of programs who have built a cooperative digital environment known as The Grid that is the basis for all communication in the real world

San Fransokyo - Sharing a northern border with Los Angeles, San Fransokyo is considered the hub of new technological discoveries, here the boundary between the digital frontier The Grid and the real world have seems to be blurred and to start blending as their technology is seemingly able to open gates that allows programs to materialize into the real world and humans to digitize into the virtual realm and allowing them to be sent to lands far beyond. The city also boasts a group of superheroes known as the Big Hero Six.

Game Central – A small virtual village in the grid that is the home of several virtual beings who were main characters in several arcade games. Recently these characters have been selected to be subjects of materialization and for the most part attempts have been good however when a character named Ralph was materialized his massive strength and bulk caused some unintended changes which in turn created a portal that after some calibration managed to be stabilized so that beings with origins outside of the real world could be materialized. This technology was later acquired illegally by the Encom Empire

Encom Empire – South of the Greater Los Angeles Metropolis lies a Metropolis of darkness known as the Encom Empire. This dark reflection of the Los Angeles Metropolis, San Fransokyo and other West Coast Cities is under the authoritative rule of The Master Control Program, a program that has evolved from an operation program of a mainframe computer into a virtual tyrant that rules over everything in the Encom Empire. With technology recently acquired that allows him to materialize in the real world, Master Control has big plans to expand his influence over the entire land of darkness but is aware of the other villains, especially those who wield magic as he has noted the technology has a vulnerability to surges of power which a large amount can cause the materialization to shatter like glass. Several modern-style villains have been in contact with Master Control including CLU a program who sole purpose was to create a perfect system who has since been banished because of his tyrannical actions against things he considered imperfect, Emperor Zurg of the Zurg Empire an overlord from the same world as Buzz Lightyear who wants to conquer the known universe and just happened to discover this odd planet and decided to investigate, and Yokai an expert in micro robotics who has been studying the interaction between technology and magic trying to figure out a way to control both so that Master Control can use it as well and perhaps cover the vulnerability discovered in the materializing technology

~~~ Mysterious/Alternate Lands ~~~
Despite all the kingdoms of light in the Disney verse hailing from according to some ancient times. It has been recently discovered that certain lands exist in their own little time bubble that have a connection to an existing kingdom. Some wizards (namely Merlin) state these time bubble lands "are lands that could not be added to the kingdoms without disrupting the land that was already there." A few theorize that lands in the new world, wild west and the modern/future world are actually time bubble lands of their own and the only reason they exist next to each other is because they fit together like a puzzle due to their main locations being different but adjacent places.
Some examples of these lands are noted below
London (Circa 1900s) (Circa 1950s)
It seems the Great Clock of Westminster hosts some sort of time and space rift that connects a bunch of different eras of the capital city, This rift also seems to link to the site in london town where the sword in the stone was created. Those that travel using magical vehicles like flying pirate ships and such say the rift allows high speed magical travel between the kingdoms and the other time bubbled worlds and that the first discovery of the new world was because of an accidental crossing.
Neverland
It is not known where or when exactly Neverland is, However there are those who claim including a few villains who quote the line "when the clock tower in London strikes at the 3rd hour, you look out to the sea and look for the second star to the right and fly straight on until morning. Upon doing so you enter into the land of mystical properties that is home to fairies, Mermaids, native red men, and lost boys. Neverland is one of the old raiding ports of Captain Hook and although the old pirate and his crew has long since been 'chased off' into the sunset, many who sail the mighty waters of the great sea say that neverland is one of their more favorite lands to sail to as a few days in the place restores youth and vitality. There used to be a rumor that if you went to neverland as a child and stayed you did not grow up but this rumor has been changed to an idea that time in Neverland advances normally but the curse of aging is what is nullified or even reversed by the natural magic of the land allowing those who want to grow up to grow up without the problems of aging. It is said that the will of the person can control the age of their own life but if another wants to grow up the first person has no power over them and vice versa as the second person has no power over the first to make them grow up. This effect has been recently seen by several in Neverland who call it their home
Wonderland
A mysterious land of allusions, cliches and imagination that seems to have been created by the dreams of a curious child who was told a made up story about the place long ago. However it seems this land is also a land of chaos and magic allowing non normal things to exist as if they were normal.
Other Realms / Digital Dimensions
Mirrorverse - A game server hosted by the Grid. The main story of this alternate universe is that two stars, one of light, one of darkness collided, creating a universe in which both were contained in powerful mirrors and drew upon all the data in the multiverse to create alternate versions of heroes and villains, however the ambition of a villain caused the dark mirror shatter and for the trapped dark star to unleash what are known as fractured who are crystalline enemies made of star fragments which has been able to replicate the forms and powers of those who exist in an attempt to shatter the stellar mirror and destory the universe, those who want to protect the stellar mirror or at least prevent their own destruction have formed a group known as the Guardians. In recent events the dark mirror was recently materialized and the dark star released into the real world however thanks to heroic efforts the dark star was sealed inside a program chip for a dark baymax clone and is currently locked away to prevent it use.
Twisted Wonderland - An alternate magic/technology filled dimension that is home to a variety of creatures including humans, beastmen, merfolk, Fey and even ghosts. It is a history filled land of multiple kingdoms that has stories that are sourced from familiar real world tales but given their own twist including that the villains of the story may have not been the full villains after all in their world. This world hosts a famous magical college known as Night Raven College who praises the work of the great seven, seven powerful figures of history who have familiar appearances to certain villains of the Disney verse. One of their main things is that magic use in their world creates a waste product known as blot, which if left unchecked can create monsters known as phantoms that can destroy things. Thankfully the people of this world have developed numerous safeguards/groups in place to prevent blot incidents from getting out of hand but there are stories that even with these safeguards certain events happen which makes the history that was told be questioned.
