Jalek's Flophouse, Starday 15 Patchwall 598 CY (late evening, moderate temperature, partly cloudy, moderate winds)

It's another rather quiet night at the Flophouse, one of many that have lately blessed the little village of Diamond Lake. It's roughly an hour past dinner time, so right now the first floor of the inn is mainly busy with miners trying to find some solace in their cheap meals after a hard day of work, drunkards looking to drown their sorrows in their pints, and some travelers waiting for morning to take on the road again.

AC: 5 [14] | HP: 9/9

The solitary warrior is spending his evening as he spent the last three ones: after a quick meal he took a small pile of loose papers from his backpack and started writing on them with some chalk. On his table a lit candle halfway melted and a wooden cup.
From time to time he throws a glance at the front door, as if he's waiting for someone to show up, but so long every new patron has failed to catch his attention.

 Brisaine - Elf Magic-Userbrisaine_token.png.c0d2de72bbca611ed989dc8c25a319bc.png

AC: 7 [12] | HP: 4/4

I swear this is the last time I accept to go "herb hunting" for Allustan!" Brisaine thinks to herself while walking from her "colleague"'s manor to the flophouse. The whole day wasted searching for moonflowers, like they're gone extinct this year she almost whispers through her teeth, and I'm not even an alchemist, I just want to know more about magic outside the elven lands! Why did I accept his offer of "co-research"?. Her pace is quick, and when a beggar tries to approach her a single gaze of her pale blue eyes is enough to change the poor man's mind. He finally arrives at the flophouse, almost slamming the door open; she doesn't really like the place, but is the best tavern to keep an eye on travelers stopping in Diamond Lake for a night or two. Like the solitary warrior in the corner opposite hers, which surprisingly enough is able to write; the elf woman always thought only mages and priests were taught how to read and write, so the stranger caught her attention from the first day she saw him, three nights ago.

 Gerard - Half-Elf Thiefgerard_token.png.9b1a87c4b8811beeb048606556c9c1a9.png

AC: 5 [14] | HP: 5/5

It's been a while since Gerard spent a night working at the flophouse, and honestly he didn't miss the place. Besides a few young "entrepreneurs", the place was just filled with penniless laborers and drunkards, and he was pretty sure that Golot the half-orc didn't like him much, a sentiment that was reciprocated by the half-elf. Anyway Jalek pays well enough for a night of work at the tavern, and there wasn't anyone else requesting Gerard's services at the time. Coming out from the kitchen the young man glanced at the room, and noticed Brisaine's irate entrance in the building. Allustan must have worn her down again he thought, so he took a decent glass and poured some red wine in it. The half-orc leaning on the wall behind the counter threw him a crooked gaze, Don't worry Golot, I'll pay for this Gerard said, and walked through the room toward the elven woman's table, dodging some altered patrons on the way. Here's for the humble disciple of the Great Allustan! the half-elf smiled to Brisaine, putting the glass on her table.

 Aerlyn - Half-Elf Acrobataerlyn_token.png.72e83f9ed61f3277245b3fcf7651f54d.png

AC: 6 [15] | HP: 3/3

Aerlyn's day has been the same as any other workday since she was "adopted" by Diamond Lake—by Thrudda, to be precise—: she woke up before the song of the rooster to help her guardian with the house chores, then after lunch she exercised until the sun was almost gone behind the mountains. She had a good dinner with her foster mother, then headed to the flophouse to keep some company to her friend Gerard. She didn't like the place much, not because of its patrons, but because of the acrid smell.
