Background: Kronk hails from the Incan kingdom that lies in the mountainous highlands of the Deep Jungles. Originally involved in a plot to assassinate and overthrow Emperor Kuzco, Kronk's conscience won out and he helped reinstall Kuzco as the ruler of the kingdom. Since then, Kronk has become a model example of rehabilitation and frequently engages in community services with the elderly and Junior Chipmunk Scouts. For a job, he works the kitchen at Mudka's Meat Hut and is always innovating new flavors for customers to try. When he has spare time, Kronk works tirelessly to keep himself in tiptop shape.

Kronk's meek manner, eagerness to please, and ability to communicate with animals often cause others to refer to him derogatorily as a "Princess". Good old Kronk takes this as a compliment, as he sees how the Princesses are beloved by their people. With that being said, Kronk has been a surprising voice of dissent in some areas. He was instrumental in helping Remy le Rat overcome prejudice and join the Cook's Guild, much to the chagrin of some of the more traditionalist members such as Chef Louis des Poissons. Kronk has also been a point of contention against the Pride Lands royalty since he gives voice to those animals of the wood, savannah, and jungle who lack the magical ability of human speech to air their grievances.
