Eri makes a big exhale and cranes over the screen, keeping their aiming solution flexible to fire shots right behind Phelar's movements to try and get their pursuers to walk into the APC's volleys.

They start swearing under their breath as their target seems to slip right out of the trajectory of their projectiles each and every time they pull the triggers.

Nils gets the walker through the underbrush and desperately looks for a way to help out. He sees a rather dangerous overhang of fungal "trees" that could probably be encouraged to fall...

Shawkra fires at the mech, landing the shot.


Phelar misses her redirect and almost spins out...with the mech barreling down behind her.


Eri tries to fire the mech but misses.


Unsure of what else to do, Jikjak whips the APC around.

 

Previous actions are all still valid. The mech decides to give Phelar another volley as it gets ever closer. It will likely be right on top of you next round. The armor on the cycle manages to absorb some of the shot but not all of it...

 

Navigate Brush:

  • Piloting to react the quickly changing conditions of the heavy vegetation
  • This may be assisted by Survival (Orienteer), Perception, or Attack rolls to clear the path.

Punch Through:

  • Piloting check to Ram into the vegetation
  • A harder Piloting check to take the path found by Jikjak

Breakaway:

  • Piloting check to quickly turn without losing speed or hitting a tree.

Find a(nother) Path:

  • Perception check to find a spot to get through. Anyone may make the Perception check.

Aid:

  • Passengers may attempt to aid any driver:
    • Fire at the plants to create an opening
    • Fire at the mech
    • Create a distraction
    • Anything else you can think of

Attack:

Attack the pursuing mech with any weapons you have

I need you all to cover me for awhile." She said as she would whip around and then move the bike to cover for her and it and stop there. Insuring that she remains close enough to the mech she casts Holographic Interface.

Sighing melodramatically, popped the door open and extended his laser rifle, making sure to aim for the mech's sensory array. After firing off a shot, he closed his eyes, trying to exert his will on reality. Another boar, one-eyed and white-furred, faded into partial reality next to the mech, ready to throw off its aim.

Shawkra's attacks shred through the mech's lower armor and tear into the hydraulics beneath. Its lurches to a stop and almost falls over from the sudden deceleration. You can see the frame of the mech struggling against its own legs but it can't seem to move at all.

 

Lower limbs now the Inoperable condition. Effectively, the mech's speed is now 0.

 

Phelar's holographic interface is having a hard time finding an entry point. You're getting an error message that is effectively "Cannot find destination system" Knowing what you do about your spells, you'd suspect its probably an issue with not being able to directly see the computer.

Eri fires the APC's weapon at the mech...but only manages to take out some more vegetation.

 

"You've made a big mistake...no one crosses the boss. No one." Thrusters kick in as it transforms back into its vehicle form and flies off, though you note it appears to be having a hard time maintaining elevation as it disappears into the distance.

Shawkra fires at the fleeing mech...it hits an engine and the vehicle nose dives hard. You see it come down into the vegetation some distances away, followed by a small explosion and a plume of smoke.

"And now that I'm not running on an adrenaline high...how do you propose we navigate to the rendevous point? None of us had the foresight to commandeer a bulldozer, and the plant life here is thicker than the hair on a skittermander's back. I'm sure if we had time, we could patch a brushcutter together with chewing gum, scrap, and a prayer to Triune, but something tells me time is of the essence."

spacer.pngPhelar frowned that the prospective new toy was destroyed. "It's fine Shawkra. It would have been easier and funner to covert that mech into my golem then the other one we have as it had weapons on it already is all." She said with a small shrug.

Then upon hearing JikJak's words she considered for a moment. "No prayers to Triune needed. If what Sarca has always said about me is true, I'm blessed by her. That close enough for you?" She mused. "Anyway I could likely rig us up such a thing on the front of the APC. We have all the parts I could need, and I have all the tools I'd need. When it comes to time...we could easily make our own. The vegetation quickly grows back in these woods right? So we go in a ways and let it cover our tracks. You lot keep it off me while I work. Then when done we proceed."
