Description

Long brassy-red hair and a black leather hat conceal Ei-Leese's pointed ears, while the warrior's dark glasses hide her tell-tale red eyes.  Despite her efforts to blend in, Li-Li's lavender prehensile tail, slightly pointed teeth and the occasional light scent of burnt Sulphur clearly mark the lass as a Tiefling.

Sporting a darkwood buckler on her left forearm, the ranger's black leather explorer's outfit hides her mithril chainshirt armor.  Other than a well-made massive Greatsword and fancy Composite Greatbow. the tracker uses her heavy black coat to conceal the bulk of her weapons, equipment, and other paraphernalia of her calling.

Personality

Growing up teased, hasseled and eventually despised, Raze's natural tendency is to be a solitary independent loner, after all it was safer, and no one could hurt you. That lesson, coupled with her personal quest to find her father, naturally lead her into her life as a planar ranger.  Nonetheless, the Tiefling was world-wise and knew that working with the right teams would allow her to accomplish goals she could never achieve herself.

Well trained in stealth, tactics and tracking, Ei-Leese is self-sufficient, resilient, adaptable and full of surprises!   However, when she gives her word to work with a group, the warrior is cooperative, reliable, loyal and trustworthy, as if Li-Li was adhering to some type of unspoken 'code.'

Background

Ei-Leese Van Damakos is an untouchable, wanted by none.  Not by nature's elements or this life or even her parents.  Marked by strangeness, civilized folk have deemed the demonic-appearing Tiefling unfit.  But what they really mean is unworthy, tainted, wrong.

Shunned by polite society, Li-Li has spent the bulk of her life searching for ‘he’ who abandoned her.  Sometimes desirous of love, while mostly hating her father whom she blames for the death of her human mother at childbirth, the planar ranger follows the stars, signs and portents of her geas hoping to fill the empty hole in her soul.

Over the past decades, a few times Ei-Leese felt that she was close to her goal before eventually hitting a series of dead ends which allowed her infernal quarry to seemingly elude her again.   However, truth be told, technically the ranger could never be sure that her father was near since such secrets were revealed to her by nature, such as in the patterns of fire brands crackling above a winter blaze or whispers from raindrops in a summer storm.

Even though her life has been ‘hard,’ the planar warrior is not marked by dirt or blood or pain or lust.  On the contrary, the fissures in Le-Le’s being are of a hidden personal nature which have eroded spaces in her mind and carved out holes in her heart.   Unfortunately, these negative emotions have been exacerbated by her years of unfruitfully pursing her devilish father.

Recently, the Tiefling has heard reports of devil worshippers who have been abducting children in the area, which is the only lead potentially connected to her quest that Ei-Leese has had in months!  After purposefully befriending a group of heroes who claim they are being recruited by the Temple of Pelor to solve the mystery, now the planar ranger finds herself in a local church attending a briefing of recent sinister events with the group.

While some might be leery of the following the path of darkness perhaps even into the horrors of Hell itself, nonetheless the orphaned Tiefling relishes the prospect of taking on the dark gods while furthering her own personal crusade to confront her progenitor.   Regardless, Le-Le will either rise or fall from her relentless efforts, but she will escape her artificial abyss one way or another!
