Saara turned, and with another whispering hiss and pointed gesture from the blood covered rod hurled more power at the hatch. Whatever it was she threw moved dust and rattled the hatch when it struck, but it was unclear that she'd actually damaged it in any way.

"We may have to scale the tower after all, if we cannot force our way through the hatch."

She commented, and something was wrong with her voice. Given that she looked like she'd practically been drained of all but a fraction of her life force, and eldritch sigils crackled in the air about her, something was wrong about all of her. Whatever power she called upon to summon such weapons, it seemed to enact a heavy toll.
