Detailed Description

New adventurers flock to the bustling seaside city of Korvosa, looking for other like minded souls.

That way we have some time to run away with." He pauses, then adds, "A lot of people die at that hour. So it will be very appropriate." "We have many hours before then, so before then I'll go back to the temples and see if they left any messages for us, all right?" "I think you might be able to find healing potions for sale. They don't cure disease." "I myself was able to restock on my scroll to help lift stuff. In case we have another body to carry around. Not likely, not after our last very fruitful interrogation." "I can't help you buy potions, Cam. I have to save for my own spells. But why not sell some captured gear?" George does not even speak of the temples maybe giving them healing potions for free; no one is that lucky. After about 6 hours, George trudges through the night back to the temples to see if any messages have been left for him to pick up. He figures he will arrive at the temple of Abadar by the time it is 8 hours after his last visit/s. As before, Moneta flies over him, watching over her master without approaching him.   9. Lorcan's been stumping along after the others, murmuring prayers to Torag in Dwarvish. It's hard for the others to tell if he's bored, lost, or just content to be moving along with them. He's had no real comments on his preferences for their next move, happy to let the bigger brains in the group take care of the details for now. Even in the midst of the various other evils literally plaguing his city, he can still shop for things like paper. Since it's still too early, he then tries to find a shop that sells basic mage scrolls, like for the spell to make someone tote more weight. He used his only scroll for that to carry doctor Dave's corpse. Moneta continues to avoid her master's shoulder, watching over him and also making it not as easy to recognize the pudgy wizard by his familiar, since that wizard may be a wanted criminal by now.   14. I'm back now, but of course being gone for so long left a ton of stuff to catch up on and a dearth of energy. You won't hurt my feelings if you move ahead without me - I'll catch up soon, I promise!
  15. ~ Supper time: The Midland ~ In the late afternoon, George was able to procure the materials he needed and write the letters without difficulty. Without being to picky on who picked up the letters at the temples, George was able to deliver them both into the hands acolytes by their appearance without needing to wait too long. Near as he can tell in both cases, he was not observed to protect his anonymity. Moneta confirmed someone took the letter from the window at the Temple of Abadar and carried it away after reading it. The other one was taken inside by someone curious, but afterwards it was hard to tell what was done with the parchment communication. After delivery, George found that is was no longer day and supper time had arrived. It was transitioning to evening and it would be full night in a couple of hours.

I guess George could also do some shopping but I wanted to see first if the letters were actually received instead of, for instance, thrown away. I will add or revise if you wish, just let me know.

He has no strong opinions on where else to attack. He writes 2 letters. He folds one into a sort of envelope and then labels it - For the Clerics of Pharasma. The other letter he also folds, and he labels it - For Ishani Dhatri of Abadar. George shows his party members the contents of each letter before he unravels the hem of his tunic to get some thread, and uses some of that thread to tie each letter closed. Followed by Moneta who flies from perch to perch watching over her wizard, George tries to find a shop that is open that sells paper and sealing wax, and he attempts to purchase 8 pieces of paper and some sealing wax. He then walks to the temple of Abadar and tries to find an unwatched second story window. If he can find one, he either casts a spell to telekinetically move the letter addressed to Ishani Dhatri onto that window, or asks Moneta to deliver the letter for him, and George and Moneta wait until that letter is discovered, at which time he departs. George then walks to the temple of Pharasma in the graveyard and puts the letter on the doorstep. He and Moneta wait some hoping someone notices and picks up the letter. If George waits too long for each letter to be noticed, like 30 minutes, he casts a spell to whisper in the ears of one of the acolytes telling them to fetch the letter and give it to a senior cleric, or invokes a glowing ball of light to hover and dance over the letter until someone notices. Then George walks back to where he left his party members, his feet sore but feeling righteous. Actions George's Standard action: Write the letters. Tie them closed. Try to shop for paper x8 and sealing wax. Walk to the temples of Pharasma and Abadar. Cast Mage Hand to place each letter in an upper story windowsill (Abadar) or on the doorstep (Pharasma). Alternately ask Moneta to deliver the letters. Wait and watch until the letters have been found. If waiting 30 or more minutes for the letter or letters to be noticed, cast Message or Dancing Lights and use that to draw the attention of someone to the letter/s. George's Move action: Walk. George's Free action: Speak. Moneta's Standard action: Perception take 10 watching for danger. Deliver letter if asked. Moneta's Move action: Fly, following George at a distance.   19. Oh so that's what that Clone button was for. Darn it. Thanks Paro. I think I'll go ahead with not using field set. I don't like how it's so difficult to manage. Working on the letters. I'll have the post ready soon. Hope no one minds that it'll be a lot of actions George performs himself - buying some more paper and maybe sealing wax, taking the letters to the temple of Pharasma and Abadar, leaving them on a 2nd+ story window sill or something using Mage Hand or Moneta. If someone objects I'll just edit it, but that will probably result in the story not going as forward as we'd like.
  20. Try using Clone instead of Quote, then the last button on the far right is the paste clone. It really doesn't help much with formatting though since you practically have to change everything and better off starting from scratch. I personally did not really like the Fieldset, and just went with "click and drag" the Avatar picture to the post. Then double clicked the picture to open up and edit window so you can resize it to roughly 150x150 and then Left Justify it. Then I added a Character name header and "Insert Horizontal Line" Then I created a mini-stat Spoiler Block and had to edit by hand to show the text I wanted. But once it was completed for a character, it was good to go. I think there is a way to use some BBCode, but I never spent time trying to figure it out.
  21. I've worked out that part of field set. I haven't figured out how to put the picture in the field set in an aesthetic manner, plus a few other things. I dislike how the new site doesn't allow for simple character-coding like the old one; I can't just copy paste stuff from a simple notepad file. A lot of the formatting stuff like Bold and spoiler are unique to the site itself. They don't transfer. I tried copy/pasting Paro's example above but it doesn't work out right. What I clone is a quote of Paro's post. I can't remove the surrounding quote part, and I'm not sure how to replace the old stuff with my stuff either.
  22. Haven't figured out field sets yet. I guess I'll continue trying when I'm not so frustrated. Added a post to my character thread for George. Convenient template for me to copy and paste whenever I need to add a new IC post. I'm a little sleepy now so I'll finish posting IC when I'm better rested. Letter writing is hard. Hope everyone has or had a good Easter if you celebrate it. Hope Scotley is all right.
