Detailed Description

January 2010

The Awakening hit, a massive resurgence of magic into the world that resulted in the minsnamed "Mayan Sixth World". Humanity responded as one might expect, not, as fantasy books suggested with smiles and acceptance of alien cultures entering their homeland. But with bombs. Big, nuclear bombs. The war started 3 months later. To be fair, it was the shortest world war in existence and was over by the end of the year. The war succeeded where diplomacy could not. There were now very few places people could actually live, regardless of whether they are man or troll. Cohabitation was the only solution.

January 2075, or 65 ATA (After The Apocalypse)

America is an irradiated wasteland. Within it lies a city. Outside the boundary walls, a desert. A cursed earth. Inside the walls, a cursed city, stretching from Boston to Washington D.C. An unbroken concrete landscape. 800 million people living in the ruin of the old world and the mega structures of the new one. Mega blocks. Mega highways. Mega City One. Convulsing. Choking. Breaking under its own weight. Citizens in fear of the street. The gun. The gang. Only one thing fighting for order in the chaos: the men and women of the Hall of Justice. Juries. Executioners. Judges.

Riding the dangerous wave through this landscape, the shadowrunners.

    Sounds like everything Sounds like everything I like in a tv series.
  3. Well, you haven’t closed it yet, and this seems a good place to comment. I don’t know if y’all have Netflix, but this series has turned out a very surprising entertainment. It starts out fairly typical “Uber elite strike force” and then deteriorates rapidly into what very much seems to me like someone’s low tech shadowrun game. It felt a lot like FUBAR, the Arnold Schwarzenegger CIA thing, but a bit raunchy. Hard to explain without spoiling some incredibly funny moments. But y’all should give it a try. NSFW warning. Lots of F-Bombs and full frontal nudity from both sexes.

Judging the trustworthiness of others was something that got her into trouble in her relationships. Delta had a list of bad choices Kash had jumped into bed with. Figuring the angles on tense meetings like the current ganger confrontation, Kashandra was no better at that. The room was too big for her comfort. Too many places someone could be hiding. No word from Stardust meant that probably there was no one hiding anywhere. Sometimes the little hacker was to hesitant to speak up. Kash preferred verbal updates on what she could see but some habits were hard to change it seemed. With exaggerated care, so as to not give the appearance of pulling out another weapon, Kashandra fished a certified credstick out of a pocket. "So, how far does this let us get?" Kashandra addressed the Ganger who seemed most like the spokesman. "I don't plan to pay off every Corner-Boy and Hood-Rat between here and the third floor."   6. Okay Guys.. Umm. Are either of you going to say anything? I think maybe with my character set up to be combative, that one of y'all should get to take lead in social interactions. We're all unskilled at them so it doesn't really matter who speaks for us. I just sort of figured it would be one of the less shooty people instead of Kashandra.

  9. That is why I never preview. I'd rather have a messed up roll that has to be recalculated than roll perfect on the test and then crap on the real check

  14. On the Roll20 Map, there is a group to the left where for some reason I have vision. A Red Head and some guy that looks like his face is in a toilet, but judging from the rest of the room, it is probably a pizza box. It looks as if I have control of the Pizza Box. And one in the room where we are as well. I believe they are your lighting sources.

Kashandra observes over secure comms as she enters the food court. Walking up to the corner had been a little tense, and the orc mercenary had not lowered her guard. Rounding the corner, with a glance up to the rival gang, she had remained on full alert. It sounded as if they were taking the opportunity to withdraw, leaving (temporarily) only one threat. But talking to that threat required a modicum of civility. Kashandra removed her helmet and shook her head while taking a breath. "Which one of you is The Man?" She asks.     Re Cred sticks, I'm going with the easiest solution possible, so yes you can "throw a cred stick" at them, you can assume you have a bunch of empty ones on person. Basically it seems silly to make something like bribery a 2 hour process of credstick loading and verifying...kinda defeats the whole purpose. You can also wire money via the matrix. For face type skills what you guys lack in dice you can make up for with posts.
  18. The group to the north immediately yell Cease fire fine with us! One assumes they are probably losing this particular battle. After a pause and perhaps some discussion, the group to the south indicate they will let you pass. As you come around the corner it's clear this first gang, who go by the name "Firestorm", have solid control of this area of the food court. Many of the stalls are smashed up either through recent gun violence or directed looting violence. The thugs stand around, some of them looking suspicious or even angry, but it's clear 'Doc Wagon' carries some weight with them. You reach a point where you can either head south west to one of the blast doors or south east to the the other. As you move the members of the other gang (as yet unidentified) take the opportunity to escape back the way you came, to the curses of some of the other gang members, who still do not intervene in your progress.   19. I will hold off then until you get your result. If we leave this to Kash, there's gonna be more shooting. There would have been already, but I had a busy week. What about Con or Negotating? Kash is stuck with 2s for those. Could either of you try to fake them out with something like "Sure, we would love to negotiate a toll. Doc Wagon Standard Paperwork requires three signatories and a notary. You guys decide who is signing while we call a Judge in to officiate and witness. Shouldn't be more than five minutes. I'm sure they won't find anything else to concern them about your situation." Barring that. Michael- What is the rules for credsticks in this sort of situation? Do we just load up a blank credstick with 100 credits and throw it at them? Do the gangers have a thing which can verify the amount? Kash's current version still has the multiple backgrounds with credsticks containing various amounts. Pretty sure I can cover 100 credits. I just don't know how we deliver it to them. Can Luner send it to them over the matrix? And we can't be the first Doc Wagon employees to be asked for a bribe/toll. Does Doc Wagon have a policy of reimbursing up to a certain amount?

  21. What is y'alls etiquette skill? I think that is used for general conversation/negotiation unless you are trying to con them somehow.   Kash has got 7 .... With military types.
