But dancing's not for everyone, I get that. I learned because it feels nice to move around more fluidly when I'm not just walking everywhere and having to kneel down to grab whatever herbs or plants for whatever salve or tincture we must make." As they coast away and out of earshot for Jeht and his goons, Mehri sighs, "Gods above, I did not expect them to act like that. Apparently they are not particularly good at taking the hint that I am not interested in them. Genuinely everyone here is like family to me, and I could never imagine someone like Jeht." She shakes her head as she groans. Mehri had big dreams - dreams that Jeht simply wasn't a part of. Mehri looks at Jack, "We can get something to eat after meeting with my dad. I wouldn't mind a small drink after all of that. I don't normally drink, but I need something to relax given that I'm feeling so tense. What about you, Jack? Do you have any plans for the night?" She walks, keeping an eye on her bag of herbs and medicinal plants. Despite everything and despite her saying she was tense, Mehri kept a fairly upbeat personality and tone, barely showing any disruption. Actions:

Almost all the folks here were more like siblings or cousins to her that she had to look after rather than someone she wanted to spend her life with. Keeping her more vulgar thoughts to herself, Mehri turns to Jack, "You know Jack, maybe I'll take you and your siblings up on potentially learning to climb trees quickly If I can learn to climb a tree before the count of three, I might be able to find a strong man in one. In the meantime though, would you care to accompany me to the first aid tent? I need to deliver these herbs Vharak left here to my dad. Then maybe we can go have a treat or maybe treat ourselves to some dancing." She laughs happily at the idea as she picks up the small bundle of herbs. Mehri moves to whisper into Shayla's ear, "I'm sure you can handle yourself, but if they give you any trouble, don't be afraid to find us. We can get his dad to set his britches on fire." She states with a wink before heading toward the first aid tent - hoping Jack would follow just to have someone to talk to. Actions:

She tilts her head before giving a small fist bump with her free hand, "Yes! I knew the occasional practice would help me get better!" She cheers happily to herself. She might not be a proper archer, sure, but it was nice to see she still had some basic talent for hitting a target. However, her mood turns sour rather quickly as Jeht approaches and starts prattling. Not that she'd show it. As Jeht called her cute, her lips quiver into a smile. Though, a more playful and knowing one, "Well, I thank you for the compliment, Jeht. Though, a bit of advice on your flirting, cute tends to be for little girls and pretty dresses. Not for adults you might be trying to start something with. On top of that, you really shouldn't flirt with the girl who has had tend to your wounds with her father several times. It's very hard to find anyone here attractive and more than a sibling when you've had to scold them for using their wooden practice swords to see how hard they could smack each other. That and seeing them in their underwear constantly." "Lovely try, Jeht, but I'll have to politely decline your offer." She gives a wink and pats him on the shoulder before heading to walk away. She wasn't a huntress at all. She had some basic self-defense training from her father and some of the folks in town, but it was hardly to the level of her being an expert. Yet, she heard the woman's voice and focused on her body. The tension between her arm and bow would blend. Her straight stance colliding with straightness of the arrow. That was it - it was like the magic that flowed through a mage, she thought. Picture what you wanted to happen in the world and it would. I am the arrow. I will fly true to my target. Actions: As discussed, 3 separate shots at the attack modifier.

She would have so many things to say about this if not for the fact that she wanted to keep things somewhat fun and calm during the Daybreak Festival. She speaks up once the two are done, "Vharak, Salva, you two could have solved this by going to the wrestling tent. I'm sure they'd be happy to have another couple of folks fighting or wrestling it out in there. You really, really need to worry about where you go fighting. There's a lot of pointy and sharp objects around that could have caused so many messed up injuries. Gods above, if I had to try to sew an axe wound or something." She starts muttering, half to them and half to herself at this point. Mehri can be seen taking a deep breath, "Vharak, I'm going to participate in the archery competition. You can sit there with your busted lip and bruises for a few minutes. Then I'll show you where my dad is. Then you can explain to him why you look like you fought a cave bear." She tells him in a stern voice probably reminiscent of his instructor before she turns to grab one of the bows and take her place on the archery range. She breathes deep and relaxes her body as she awaits the person running the stall to tell her to start. Actions:

I do not want to have to go pulling an arrow out of someone tonight if we can at all avoid it. None of us here are archers, right? Let's all focus on the fact that we are near the archery range where they're holding the archery competition that we can take part in. Please?" She asks, not really liking the idea of shooting at anyone with an arrow tonight. She addresses Vharak first. "I know you're tough and all, Vharak. But let's stick to the fun games that won't involve you needing patched up by me and my dad tonight, please? Even if dad and I are around, we're not able to cure every wound and work miracles. So please try to take care of yourself tonight." She sighs. Though, in the back of her mind she wonders if a miracle is something she might one day be able to work. Turning back to Salva, she smiles, "No. It's not normal, per se. But it might be a bit normal for Vharak since he's commonly training to be tougher so sometimes my dad and I have to treat some of the leftover scratches left over on him." She sighs but it was more a playfully exasperated sigh than being actually annoyed. She then motions, "Dad isn't going to go judging anyone for being different. You're good people as far as he's concerned, and I don't really see anything different about you from most of the farmers and such around here. So long as you're good to the people here, you'll have a friend in me!" Finally, Mehri turns to Jack, "Hey Jack. Please try not to encourage him. Though, it's good to see Korri gave you some time off so you could join the festivities. Normally see you working the stand." She tells him before looking to the three, "Okay, okay. How about this? Why don't we all try to do the archery challenge together? I'll pay the silvers for it if you're all willing to join up. I'm sure it'll be fun!" She suggests, pulling out four silvers as if trying to tempt Jack, Salva, and Vharak into a small little competition. Actions:
