One of my speed bumps is trying to get my game relaunched after some player attrition. Need at least two, could work with three. I like all of y'all as players. If someone wanted to try out a Pathfinder game and save me from having to canvass with strangers for new players.....

It's the Pazio Adventure Path of Wrath of the Righteous. We are in the second book, "Sword of Valor" Characters are Sixth Level and Mythic.

Basic Plotline, for those unfamiliar, is a rift into Hell was opened 100 years ago. PCs are working to close it.

It does rather require Good Alignment.

Gear is up to you. Kennedy doesn't want to be keeping prisoners because we really do not have the ability to hold them securely. There are only four of us, seven if you count the robobuddies, eight if we include Cameron. Unless someone is staying 24/7 then we cannot keep prisoners.

Keeping his stuff, that depends on if y'all want to try and investigate it further. Kennedy does not have the technical abilities to do anything with it.

Yes. Paul Reisner's character was such a sleaze as a lawyer, in games I was playing around that time we used "Carter Burke" as shorthand for a legal/bureaucrat type that couldn't be trusted. Have Aria compel him to get out. No damage to equipment for us to investigate. Less chance of hurting him. I assume he has some sort of pressure suit/coverall underneath. Wearing that stuff nekkid would be uncomfy. If not, Cameron has a set of coveralls somewhere, I am sure.

Unless there are further objections, Kennedy will find some means of securing the hands and feet of the guy and then haul him outside via one of the escape tunnels that Cameron seems to have created. And then run/jump her way to the army base. Leaving his gear behind for further investigation. That is something the army will likely want to know about. We will see how the turn over goes.

It doesn't replace Identify, but "attempt to identify its properties " gives us something.

Looking back at "Live" I realize I never rolled the checks, so inputting here.

KS Arcana is +4 DC is 15+Spell Level so Minimum of 16

Spellcraft is also +4 with DC of 15+Item Caster Level, so again minimum of 16

With Mol being limited, it's up to you to decide when to use your slot. Might as well wait out my bargain basement check and see if I get lucky.

Activate Blindly with UMD is a flat DC 25. Going to roll the other two first.

Could those be any lower? When the RNG hates you, it really hates you around here.

My skills on these are not where I want them yet. I could only put one point to each.

If I could get it swapped to a Charisma based check instead of Intelligence….

I rather thought Mol was more focused on these sorts of skills. With his Intelligence, he’s got to have better than a +5 on the roll.
 

Always prefer trying to examine before going UMD, but considering my Charisma maybe I should change tactics. Randomly discharging a powerful and unknown item is Chaotic.

Any chance at all we get an answer on examining the rod before going anywhere else?

It has been the first thing I tried to do.

I got caught up in some stuff, extra work shifts and other things.

I was not trying to shut down discussion on what to do with the Templar. Only stating that we do not have any real means of holding prisoners.

If I do not get any further debate/discussion on the Templar, then will move him to the army this weekend.
