  1. Like a creeping glacier, the massive man in the corner shifts into motion. Molly shakes his head, surprised Ma had let him anywhere near the Croagunk Juice again - since the last time he'd had the spirits, he ended up wrecking two engines, traumatizing Benny, plus it had taken three men and old Hoss, Ma's Mudsdale, to get him off of the scrap heap he'd ended up on - before remembering the past couple of days and realising what he felt weren't the aftermaths of unreasonably high proof probably toxic moonshine. He wasn't even burping limericks or seeing into the fifth layer! Properly reoriented, Molly takes in his surroundings, quickly zoning in on the window with a clear view of the stars! Real stars, just like the lady had said. Not the phony ones back on Earth and everything! Transfixed by the sight for a few moments, his attention is diverted when he feels a faint tugging at the back of his mind. Turning around, he sees his Smarts, floating close to a slowly awakening Elly, indicating (somehow) to the other two humans in the room. Grinning widely, Molly walks over to Elly, carefully scooping her up in his arms, before turning to the people, waving with the hand not holding a glaring Stunky. "Hi! Nice to meet y'all! I'm Donovan, but most folk just call me Molly. So... y'all can call me Molly too! How do you do?"
  2. This check you called for at the police precinct.
  3. Posted. Also, I could've sworn there were results from the Insight check from earlier, but I can't seem to find them anymore, that correct Jedaii? 👍
  4. Custodian Morgan leaves the rest of the group to get the ground tour as he flies up to hover several hundred feet above the facility, figuring he can get the layout and defenses from the rest later. As he quietly enjoys the solitude and rush of wind up high, he scans the surrounding area, looking for likely directions of attack and easily defended chokepoints. Once he's done his survey, he meets back up with the others to share his findings, and get an update on what they've seen.  After this, he flies off, taking a somewhat circuitous route to throw off any potential trackers, and heads back home, deactivating the armor well before he's there and walking the rest of the way. He spends the rest of the day spending some time with his family, and doing research on the Crushers, trying his best to find out more about any of their strategies or weaknesses.
  5. Custodian Custodian had been quiet, trying his best to observe the complex. He looks over at the security officer as he talks, expressionless mask staring at him. "Do you guys have any anti air defences up? I'd like to take a bird's eye view of the area, and I'd rather not be shut out of the sky."  If given confirmation that he's good to fly, Custodian flies up until he has a good overview of the immediate area, and he scans the area for a good view minutes, trying to discern any likely avenues of attack that the Crushers might take.
  6. Custodian "I'd like to do some prep work on my own at some point today, but I'm good to join you for an initial scouting mission."
  7. I'll get a post up sometime today, but for now, Insight check!
  8. I mostly meant that I would be able to keep the airspace clear. Vulture is pretty much only useful midair, while the FIST is still a walking tank on ground level. Assuming we want to actually capture the Crushers, not just thwart them, taking out the folk that are both the most manoeuvrable and prone to fleeing first seems the most sensible. Beyond that though, we probably shouldn't focus fire too much, and try and focus on keeping the Crushers from reaching their target.
  9. Custodian Morgan thinks for a moment, while trying his best to remain his cool at being singled out. "I should be able to handle the Vulture without too much trouble. He's likely to flee if we leave him out too long and the tides start turning against him anyway, so taking him out quickly is probably for the best if we want to capture him. FIST isn't likely to stick around if his armor gets wrecked either, but he's a more experienced pilot than me, so I'm not sure how well I'd be able to handle him in a straight up dogfight. He's also potentially the most vulnerable, if we have a way of bypassing his armor's defenses, target him directly past it somehow, if anyone has any way of doing that." He goes over the map. "What're the buildings defenses like? Any reinforced walls, active defenses? Or do they usually just rely on security personnel?"
  10. What would Morgan know of the actual capabilities and tactics of the Vulture and FIST? I imagine Streeter has been active for a lot longer than Morgan has, and is a lot more experienced pilot than him, but if the Vulture is limited to winged flight and like... claws, Custodian actually has a decent amount of experience fighting that sort of enemy, technically.
  11. Custodian Custodian leans over, more fluidly than could be expected judging by his armour, to look at the pictures. "Haven't had any run ins with any of them, but... I've done my research, I know who they are and what they can do... mostly." Morgan taps the picture Titan indicated. "That would be the Bull, and hardly a cutie. You'd probably be the best to handle him straight on, yeah, though you'd have to be careful. You and Aegis both." He glances between the two, "He goes by Bull for more reasons than just his physique. Not a big fan of red, he is. Deadly, too, in a 'will happily kill' kind of manner, that is. All of the Crushers are deadly in their own right, really..."
  12. Let's see if my luck with the dice roller will turn.
  13. I have posted. My apologies for the delay, I've been super distracted this weekend, will try to stay on top of things a bit more. The pace is mostly fine, I just suffer from living-on-the-other-side-of-the-world syndrome.
  14. Custodian Morgan remains standing, looking not too unlike a statue as he does his best to stop from fidgeting. He thinks for a moment at the detective's question, letting the others speak. Once the rest has said their piece, he finally speaks. "I'm the Custodian. There's a bunch more titles attached to my station, but they're not too relevant. I... have a responsibility to the planet, and the people on it, to keep it safe from certain threats. Teaming up with... likeminded individuals with their own skills and abilities is the most effective way I have of fulfilling my duty." He shrugs after this, adding: "On a slightly less grandiose point... I want to help out and work with heroes, even if it wouldn't help me in my duties."
  15. Custodian Morgan slowly raises his arms, trying to look as non-threatening as possible while wearing super armour glowing with eldritch light. "As they say, we're the substitutes, just here to help."
  16. Custodian Morgan had been trapped in a bit of a feedback loop with the intellect spirit while he was trying to recall what he knew of the Crushers, which took him a few moments to get out of. By the time he had managed that, he had gotten distracted by the arrival of the Silver Shrike, who was lighting up on his Arcane Lens like a Christmas tree. Curious as to why, as nothing he knew of her indicated heavy magic use, he engages some of the more detailed sensors, trying to get a feel of the nature of her magic. He is quickly pulled out of his analysis by the growing crowd, however, and he quickly switches gear, noting that none of his teammates seem too keen on interacting with the crowd much. While hardly a glory hog himself, Morgan still figures it's best to actual talk to the people, reassure them and keep them from panicking. Taking a half step forward, he raises his arms slightly to address the crowd. "People, please," he says, trying his best to project gravitas and confidence, "I know how you feel, I really do, and I appreciate it. But I'm afraid that we cannot stick around. Unfortunately, crime doesn't rest easily, and as such, neither can we. We're doing everything we can to put a stop to the actions of the Crushers, and keep this great city safe." OOC Persuasion to placate/calm down the crowd and make a slightly more graceful exit than just sprinting off. Using Extra Effort for a +2 bonus and a Hero Point to recover from the EE.
  17. I should also be strong enough to just about carry another person, depending on how heavy Aegis is.
  18. Would I be able to immediately pick up on some aspect of Silver Shrike's origin with either of my Senses, or would she need to actively be using her powers to get a gist of their origin?
  19. Custodian Morgan, unseen to all, winces at the rather blunt response to the reporter. Way to make an impression. "I'm Custodian. I've only been active for a few months, and much of what I usually handle is out of the way, so I've flown a bit under the radar. As Titan says, we're new recruits. I didn't know the Crusaders were out of town... But we can certainly step up in in their absence!" As he's talking, Morgan thinks on what he knows of the Crushers, what he's read of their past exploits and their capabilities and usual modus operandi. OOC I'd like to use my Expertise in Superhero Lore to find out how much I know about the Crushers, using my Eidetic Memory advantage if possible. Not sure if I should roll or not, let me know
  20. Question. How much did we know already? Were any of us aware of the fact that the Crusaders haven't been around? How long ago were we invited?
  21. Custodian Morgan had woken up early in the morning, and despite his excitement related sleep deprivation of the last week, was brimming with energy. After a quick breakfast, he had left his parents a note before leaving his home, unable to simply relax or wait for the appointed time. Instead, he had activated the Custodian Battle Suit and had gone out flying, heading up high enough that he wouldn't easily be spotted or be at risk of running into any low flying air traffic. After a couple of hours of alternatively scanning around for trouble, practising his aerial manoeuvring, and aimlessly floating while daydreaming of the life of heroics he was going to embark on.  He almost misses his phone's alarm when it nears 9, and had to rush somewhat on his way down to the Harmon Building. As such, he somewhat misjudges his speed as he went in for a landing, and just barely managed to avoid cracking the concrete as he went in for a three-point landing, wincing unseen behind his mask as the impact hit his joints. Suit, how do I stop myself from going splat on landing? Stunned for a moment by the deluge of arcane treatises on force redistribution, he quickly dismissed the spirit, before rising to his feet. From the outside, you see a figure in sleek, glowing power armour rocket out of the sky, slow down at the last minute, still slam into the ground at a decent clip, stay still in a three-point landing pose for a few moment, before rising, all the while showing no expression or spare movement. Morgan looks around the small group that had gathered in front of the building, mask hiding the excitement on his face and the general build of his armour obscuring most of his body language. Here are what would most likely become his new team mates, and he's quite pleased he can place all three of them with not too much difficulty. "Good morning," he says eventually, having composed himself, intentionally lowering his voice slightly and hoping that this coupled with the distortion from his mask would be enough to ensure his privacy. "Uhm... I'm usually better at landing." He clears his throat, a strangely hollow sounding noise, before continuing "I'm Custodian, the Keeper of the Keystone." He's rather proud that he manages to pronounce the capital letters on those titles. "Titan. Aegis... Monitor." He nods to each of the heroes in turn.

Motivation: Doing Good: Morgan has always held an admiration of superheroes, and now that he has the tools to, he wants to help out and live up to the examples that he admired in his youth.  Identity: Although Morgan isn't the most secure with his identity, he still endeavours to keep it hidden from the general populace, and his enemies in particular. Family: Morgan still lives with his parents and two younger siblings, all of whom have varying ideas of what he is up to. Young And Reckless: Morgan is very new to the hero scene, and is very inexperienced in the use of the Keystone, while still being aware of the sheer amount of power he has access to. As such, he's prone to take risks he shouldn't, and is likely to either land in more trouble than he can handle, or to create or exacerbate a problem. Enemy: Society of Cunning Men:  A secretive criminal organization of the rich, powerful, and influential, keen on expanding their powerbase. All members practice magic with various degree of skill and power, and they heavily favour summoning demons, elementals, and sundry eldritch horror to do their bidding, which is what has put Custodian at odds with them.  Didn't Come With A Manual: Although the intellect spirit that came with the Keystone offers Morgan with a vast library of magical knowledge, Morgan has yet to figure out how to access it effectively, and while the Keystone offers theoretical access to the Earth's wellspring of magic, he has had no training in practicing magic or spellcraft, and is not really capable of using magic beyond the most basic applications of the Keystone. Any time Morgan wants to use a Power Stunt, he is is vulnerable for the round (as per the Distracting flaw) and must make a Expertise: Magic check (DC15?, as per the Check Required flaw) to successfully pull of the Power Stunt; if he fails this check, he wastes his standard action. Reputation: Although Morgan has only recently taken up the mantle, the Keystone and its wielders have been around since the beginning of human civilisation, in one form or another. While rarely known to the general public, the Custodian of the Earthly Realm is a known factor in supernatural circles, especially those that deal heavily with outsiders (and, in fact, outsiders themselves), although said circles opinion on the Keeper will vary wildly on a case by case basis.  Work Acquaintances: Not long after Morgan found the Keystone, he was contacted by the Archivists (which Morgan is fairly certain isn't their actual name), a group dedicated to the safeguarding of magical artefacts. They had been rather keen on getting their hands on the Keystone, and were somewhat put off that a random teen had gotten their hands on one of the most powerful artefacts on the planet. But, since Morgan was both unwilling and mostly unable to hand it over to them, and the Keystone serves a rather vital role in the safety of earth as a whole, they begrudgingly stopped pressing the point and started working with him, though this mostly came down to giving him some occasional advice or information, and half-demanding he help out whenever one of their vaults was targeted.  Star Struck: Morgan grew up admiring the various superheroes active in Olympolis and beyond, and even now that he is ostensibly their peer can't shake this feeling of awe and reverence.
