  1. Hey Weavers 🙂 I'm doing the diligence on a Shadowrun conversion to GURPS 4e. So yeah, I'm into pain. Hopefully I can kick off a 1shot playtest of the semi-finished product on this site. Anywho, I need the help of GURPSheads familiar with the Shadows. I have a sample character I'm hoping folks can look over and give me notes. He's a 200 points (250 + 50 disads) and I was aiming for a trad SR "rigger". I couldn't figure the cost of armed drones outside of $500K a piece, but I'm hoping it's actually cheaper*. I thought about switching drones to Allies, but they fit as equipment better imo. I really need to know how broken this is and how to fix it. Thoughts? Jumbo Shrimp *Because drones look very expensive, I might be allowing players to overspend during CharGen and doing so would require the Debt disad. Thoughts?
  2. This is a great campaign idea or even just for a 1shot. Definitely better than what I was thinking of running. I'm a fan of the original movies of the 70's and 80's, but the expanded lore of the SWU is boring to me. Have fun folks 😊
  3. I think we gave this a shot, but I'm going to shelve this recruitment. After seeing player reactions, I really do not feel MSH is the best system for what I want to run here. I do appreciate your participation and maybe we can game again in the future.

  5. Ultimately, it is YOUR character. Design them however you like. If you have specific questions regarding the rules or setting, please ask 🙂
  6. A mutant PC is fine but I'd rather not have them locked into the X-Men's storyline because this is about a team of original superheroes coming together as a new team. If the mutant had met with Xavier, Scott or Jean and has them as a Contact is fine. But, I want to lessen the chances of established Marvel superheroes overshadowing this team of PCs (players usually dislike that A LOT, in my experience). Powers-wise, if you mean to stick with the random-rolled set, it is what it is.
  7. There are several supers that have these powers, the most powerful being the Molecule Man. But this game limits the power by only allowing a character to create their power rank in ounces of material, so keep that in mind (Amazing rank = 3 pounds of matter). Also, you can use the Point-Buy option to pick the powers you want rather than rolling.
  8. I added a point-buy option in the CharGen section that might be easier for you. As far as powers go, if you only have the Players Book, you can use the powers and talents from there. Whichever is easier for you 😊
  9. Then maybe we're spinning our wheels here. There's specific rules for magic in this system (Players Book, pages 61-65). You should read that and decide what kinds of spells your powers are (Personal, Universal or Dimensional). There's also in-built weaknesses, specifically certain spells can't be cast without gestures and/or chanting. So essentially, your PC would have the traditional mage limits (needs hands and speech to cast spells) which would count as a physical handicap in my book. No need for wheelchairs or canes or pain meds.
  10. If you need descriptions of the powers in the Ultimate Powers Book let me know.
  11. Power descriptions are at the back of the book, just before talent descriptions.
  12. I consider Weaknesses to be a flaw that makes the character both more relatable and less OP. I was just now trying to think of a powerful Marvel or DC superhero who doesn't have a weakness and -- there are none. They all have some kind of physical or psychological limitation that makes their stories interesting. On prosthetics: Forge is a good example because I remember when Claremont first introduced him. He walked with a cane, so he was limited to being more of an engineer than an action-hero (he also had this weird Transhumanism that he dealt with). Your PC is fairly powerful. You chose those powers and talents. I need a weakness that, in certain situations, seriously limits him.
  13. I'll take another look very soon. Everybody: please do not encourage others to engage in online piracy of WotC's copyrighted materials. Thank you.
  14. I'm only interested in running what players are passionate about playing, first and foremost. It's a lot of time and energy running an adventure. IME I can usually get a standard adventure done in about 5-6 months as I've ran 2-3 adventures to completion on Myth-Weavers. One was the old V&V module Death Duel with the Destroyers using this MSH system (players had the option of random rolls or point-buy) and it went okay, for the kind of extra-linear-style adventure that it is. So let's throw Point-Buy into the mix and I'll adjust CharGen for players. I'm open to whatever's fun, primarily 😎
