  1. "You had be at the word treat." Jack said to Mehri, following her, wondering a bit, what Shayla was planning for Jeht. It was a bit sad, that he would probably miss the outcome, but being told the story after the act was the second best thing he could hope for. "I have to warn you, Mehri. I am not much of a dancer. Chances are people will call for a doctor, when they see me dance, thinking I got some spasm. So I might go for a treat that goes down my belly."
  2. Jack was barely able to surpress a chuckle. Instead he decided to have a bit of fun with Jeht. "Shayla, I think Jeht is totally right. You deserve a strong man." He said, before turning to Jeht, barely hiding a grin. "Do you have a idea, where she can find a strong man? Maybe even one, who doesn´t try his luck at every woman, that isn´t on a tree at the count of three?" Not waiting for an answer from Jeht, he turned back to Mehri and Shayla. "My siblings are damn good at climbing trees. So if you want some pointers, they could give you private lessons. Could be helpful to escape the offer of other so called private lessons or embarassing attempts of woeing you."
  3. "Easiest drink I ever got, I would say." Was the simple reply of Jack to Thia. "Was cooking from 3 in the morning till half an hour ago, before I got the rest of the day off. The fun is just starting now. And the bar is set high after this lil brawl." He chuckled, grinning from ear to ear into the direction of Shayla and Mehri. "But that does also sound like a hard day for the two of you."
  4. Jack looked over and up to Thia. "Oh, someone is fond of rules? Maybe I should write a book full of rules, but I am afraid the festival would be over already before I am done." He said. "So my rules will suffice. If someone gives up, gets knocked out or is clearly outclassed, I am gonna declare them the loser. Good enough for you? Or do you want to make a point system and write it down in your little book?" Jack pointed at the journal in Thias hands.
  5. "You think they take me serious, Mehri?" Jack answered chuckling. "I will pass on the archery contest. Not much of a archer, when the bow is bigger than me. But I could officiate the little brawl." He pointed with his half eaten chicken leg at Salva and Vharak. "Listen closely as I explain the rules." Jack left a small pause to increase the tension and give them the chance to focus on him. "Okay, the rules are, whoever wins will be declared victorious. I think that is fair." He took another bite off his chicken leg, waiting for the brawl to start. He had seen his fair share of people doling it out with fists, but so far those have been his six siblings or some drunkards in the clarion. Two able bodied, sober combatants was something new for sure.
  6. Jack was wandering around, looking at the stands, people and lights with wide eyes, while munching away at a waffle. One of the many edible goods he had made in advance for the stand of the Cockerel's Clarion. In exchange he had been granted half a day off by Korri. A feat he was still proud of. Not cooking that many pastries, waffles, stews and so on, but to actually get Korri to give him a half day off. Maybe he should finally start gambling. The youngest of his siblings had recently reached the age of 16 and was able to stand on her own feet and maybe, just maybe he could finally pursue his own dreams. Finally, the halfling with the content face, walking idly around, reached the archery stand, listening to the conversation. "Sounds like a good way to give Mehri a opportunity to try her hands on an arrow wound." He said in response to the suggestion from Vharak, inserting himself into the conversation, before pulling out a chicken leg from one of his many pouches, and taking a bite.

Some would say the humor and attitude is rather a way for him to cope with his situation. Maybe there is some truth to that, but even without his lot in life, Jack would be a easygoing, jesting moron. He likes to cheer people up, but also to take care of them. Even if money is tight, he would never turn away a hungry mouth. History Jack was born the eldest of seven halflings. From a young age he was already dreaming to adventure, like the people in the tales he overheard in the Cockerel's Clarion, whenever he had accompanied his father on his daily effort to drink enough to be unable to stand. At the age of twelve those dreams were finally shattered, when his mother had enough of her drunkard of husband and went on her merry ways with a passing by, younger halfling. Being left by his wife could have been the nudge Broadfoot senior needed to sober up, but sadly the opposite was the case. It took him less than a year to drink himself six feet under. With no parent left, Jack took it upon himself to feed and raise his siblings, starting forst as a dishwasher in the Clarion and slowly working his way up to being the only chef Korri deemed worthy enough to cook alongside him. 14 years have now passed and while Jack has accepted his lot in life, the longing for adventure has never completely vanished.

On a success with style, place a second boost on your opponent. Extraordinary Concentration: Once per scene, when you successfully create an advantage with Will based on concentration, you gain one additional free invocation.    ⌬BIO⌬ Raphael Delacord, son of a german mother and canadian father, spent most of his life in germany. High of hopes, to much self esteem and overly motivated, he enrolled in the training to become a mecha pilot. But that wasn´t the end of it. Thinking he was special he volunteered to join a prototype programm, that would merge normal mecha control together with a neural link, to deepen the control of the mecha and increase the reaction time and performance of the pilots. Just 1 year later the project was deemed a failure, with most pilots going insane upon the pained the neural link caused them during combat action. Raphael "only" got broken to some degree, in constant pain, but unwilling to give up the mecha, seeing it as a way to perform better during combat.   In the year 2020 he was among the responding Mecha Assault Units to meet the threat of Dagahra. Like everyone else he and his mecha was taken down in no time. Combined with the neural link this experience took him 2 years, until he was ready again to step into his rebuild mecha again. Less cocky and more defensive as a result he is now focused on damage control for his environment and his own mecha.    ⌬ON PERSON GEAR⌬     ⌬MECHA APPLIATION⌬ ⌬Gaunt (Prototype)⌬ Base Construction Points: CP 5 Construction Points Utilized: CP 5 Mecha Portrait Design Philosophy: Kaiju Control Unit Mecha Drawback: Agility in exchange for impact Free Aspect: Defense is the best offense ⌬GEAR⌬ Neural Interface Gaunt is equipped with a neural interface that works in unison with the manual controls of the mecha, to expand and finetune the motoric capabilites. -Adcanced control system: +2 create advantage and +2 defend against ca when logically applyable (2CP) Light plating Gaunt is barely armored to keep the movement fluid in flexible. 0 CP Spiked and bladed chassis The mecha does possess 2 arm blades on top on various spikes protruding from different points of the chassis.
