  1. "Subtle" and "diplomatic" are words that can be used to describe Ripley. Inaccurately, but still.
  2. "Are we the baddies?" Anyway, yes. We have done some good and a lot of bad. And yes, I should clear Ripley's track.
  3. At this point, I do think we need to move towards regrouping. IC, Ripley does not know anything about the bank or the letter, though, so someone will have to tell him about that.
  4. "Nay," Ripley says glumly, "Well, yes and no. It has been..." He stretches a bit and groans, working out the kink in his back where mere luck prevented him from being stabbed. Again. "...fiery."
  5. Well, a sawn-off shotgun likely isn't hackable, though depending on the method used to saw it off, it might already have been 'hacked' in a different sense. Still, the breach affords some cover, and Terrabit intends to make use of it. He crouches down, unslings his rifle, and joins the fray. He figures firing a few shots at the target will make her rethink her plan and duck for cover. 'Keeping them honest', he had heard it called.
  6. I will admit I don't mind the -1 rep myself. This, uh, this was entirely Ripley's fault, and it should have some narrative consequences.
  7. Oooh. Ruin exploring! Now that does sound fun. As far as Ripley being a captain, well, I assume that either the crew will be doing something else or he'll order them as a unit. Also, they will probably betray us. The mongooses, though? I hope we can keep them alive.
  8. He, uh, did have a family. And Ripley met them. This was supposed to be a quick and simple demonstration! Ripley's recklessness, uh, got their husband/father killed. They are...not going to like him. In fact, Ripley is...not going to face them if he can help it. This got wildly out of paw...
  9. Ripley sighs, slumping a little. "Aye, that be what caused the fire. Me latest invention be...a little unstable," he admits, "But it be quite...effective." He gestures to the crowd. "So, if we need t' break Brixie free...well, give me a few minutes an' I'll see how many I can kill in one go again..." "The otter what loaned me the saltpeter," he says with a shrug, "Used a biiiiit too much th' first time. He...was caught in th' blast."
  10. So, Elby, what do we do? We seem to be stuck together, and Ripley only has the vaguest of ideas as to what is going on right now.
  11. Along the way, Ripley whispers over to Hoop, "What's the situation 'ere? We need t' get everyone an' get outta here. Things are goin' south real fast." He clears his throat. "I just killed the local cat leader." "...Also, we need t' get some help fer an otter."
  12. Terrabit's eyes widen as he is discovered and shot at. However, he seems to not have needed to worry. This is why weapons maintenance is important. "Issue logged as handled," he mutters, "Onwards and upwards, I suppose." Sadly, he cannot climb walls. And he doubts that, even if he asked very nicely and waved his tail at them, they would throw him a rope. And so, he will head on towards the hole made at the back.
  13. Ripley has to vault over a fence using the pole of his boarding pike. This leaves a notch in the blade that will have to be repaired. In addition, while he feels the sting, his natural "Luck Armor" fortunately means it does not do as much damage as it might have. This is probably for the best, as he is not in the best shape anymore. Tired, a bit bedraggled, and panting, he leans on his pike as he comes to a stop by the...procession. "Well blow me sideways..." he sighs as Brixie is dragged away. When Hoop calls down, he looks up tiredly. "Yeah...yeah..." he says, "I be coming...don't ye worry." He will jog after Hoop's lead.
