  1. The spiritual ally is at Kendrick's level but on the ground. It can fly. It is flanking with Jalabar right now. Omegang, yes you can change your action. No, Duncan cannot move into its space. It's a force construct that cannot be harmed but otherwise acts as another token (so, your enemies can move through its space). It can take Attacks of Opportunity.
  2. There doesn't seem to be agreement on this. On the forums, I found one read of "you full-round cast the spell and then the second round you attack" and "no, the full-round action includes the spell AND the Flurry of Attacks." Since the spell description is confusing and Jalabar is already in melee range, rather than casting the spell, Jalabar will just flurry Kendrick. All of the damage is now physical instead of half fire, half negative energy. I'll update the post.
  3. None. Spiritual Ally Being a construct of force, the spiritual ally cannot be harmed by any physical attacks, but , , a , or a affects it. A spiritual ally‘s against touch attacks is 10.
  4. No Duncan doesn’t need to roll if he’s immune.
  5. Edmund fires the repeating crossbow, sending a flurry of quarrels at the enemy warrior. One bounces off Shinoyari's armor but two others strike true, drawing grunts from the mysterious fighter. Aranaias immediately follows up with a Holy Smite, fully blasting Seraphina and Krekie. Izenfen is able to avoid the brunt of the damage. In a burst of ancestral power, Kendrick raises his hands to the ceiling and burns with a bright glowing flame for a moment before a blast of holy energy rips from his body, exploding outward and catching both Shinoyari and Jalabar in the area of effect. Neither are stunned, but both look injured. Then Duncan proceeds to wail on Shinoyari again, inflicting mortal damage upon Shinoyari, who collapses in a bloody, pulpy heap. The spiritual ally moves itself to flank Kendrick and then Jalabar lashes out at the oracle in a flurry of unarmed blows, chanting in a guttural tongue as he does so. Fire leaps from the tiefling's hands as he punches over and over, finally executing a leg sweep with the fury and speed of a viper. As that happens, Seraphina casts a spell and is suddenly surrounded by seven illusory copies of herself that all move as one. "Fire at the paladin. He's vulnerable and hasn't moved," Izenfen hisses to Krekie. The tengu nods and fires her bow. The first arrow goes wide, as does the third (both would have hit had the assassin not been blind), but the second strikes true. Izenfen points the Hand of Vecna at Duncan and hisses, "Now die!" A bolt of sizzling green lightning blazes through the cavern and strikes the paladin full in the chest before leaping first to Aranaias and then to Kendrick. Kendrick takes 15 points of fire damage, 15 points of negative energy damage, and is prone. Duncan takes 7 points of damage and needs to make a DC 15 Fort save or be poisoned. Duncan, Kendrick, and Aranaias each take 60 points of electrical damage. Duncan may make a DC 24 Reflex save for half. For Aranaias and Kendrick, the save is DC 22. 6. Oh, hm my turn to post. Sorry guys. Good news is I don't think Shinoyari survived. EDIT: will check all the numbers and post tomorrow.
  7. Oh, hm, so that's another 16 points of damage to the antipaladin. Not enough to take him down, sadly.
  8. Can you share that rule, ? I thought Smite just affected outsiders, evil-dragons, and undead. Also, applies to the first successful attack, not all. Smite Once per day, a paladin can call out to the powers of good to aid her in her struggle against evil. As a swift action, the paladin chooses one target within sight to smite. If this target is evil, the paladin adds her bonus (if any) to her attack rolls and adds her paladin level to all damage rolls made against the target of her smite. If the target of smite evil is an outsider with the evil subtype, an evil-aligned dragon, or an undead creature, the bonus to damage on the first successful attack increases to 2 points of damage per level the paladin possesses. Regardless of the target, smite evil attacks automatically bypass any the creature might possess. In addition, while smite evil is in effect, the paladin gains a deflection bonus equal to her modifier (if any) to her against attacks made by the target of the smite. If the paladin targets a creature that is not evil, the smite is wasted with no effect. The smite evil effect remains until the target of the smite is dead or the next time the paladin rests and regains her uses of this ability. At 4th level, and at every three levels thereafter, the paladin may smite evil one additional time per day, as indicated on Table: Paladin, to a maximum of seven times per day at 19th level.
  9. They did. Ommegang rolled a 24 on his spell attack for their Will saves and Seraphina has a 22 and Krekie has a 17 (damn rogues.)
  10. Well, since we're doing block initiative I'm not going to pay particularly close attention to what effects end when aside from the blindness will end on Shinoyari's turn. So even if he rolled a 1 on his 1d4 (he did indeed make the save), he'll be blind during Edmund's attacks.
  11. Yes, the attacks bypassed Displacement. The Displacement functions like concealment and relies on vision and Shinoyari is blind. Concealment bonuses don't stack so you can't have more than a 50% miss chance. And yes, Shinoyari is within 30' of Kendrick, in range of the Holy Word.
  12. Aranaias prays an incantation, summoning a ring of holy fire that hovers in the air, suspended by divine magic. Kendrick follows up, uttering a word of purity and light. The only evil creature in range of Kendrick's spell is Shinoyari, who shakes his head for a moment. Edmund lines up his weapon and fires, but unfortunately the missile goes wide. Duncan then unleashes a flurry of slashes, holy energy crackling along the blade of the bardiche. Smoke gushes from gashes in Shinoyari's armor and the combatant staggers. For a moment it seems like the armored villain has been defeated but then a deep, rumbling voice calls from the armor..."That all you got?" The rictus grin of the demon helm almost seems alive for a moment and then the monster lashes out again and again and again and again with its glaive. The first blow strikes Duncan directly in the chest and there is a crackle of black energy that leaps between the two warriors. The air seems to go dark for a moment and with a blast of awareness, Duncan realizes that his immunity to fear, that holy blessing that wrapped around him like a cloak...it has vanished. The second blow goes wide...and the heroes realize that Kendrick's blessing probably just saved Duncan's life. Shinoyari has been blinded, briefly, but it is enough. The third blow also hammers into the paladin and the fourth goes wide. Seraphina serenely floats into the cave and notices Aranaias. She winks at the priest and then casts Dominate Person on him. Jalabar flies into the cave, taking the same path above the Cloudkill that the others took and moves into position to attack Kendrick. Krekie, meanwhile silently flies above the cave and fires her bow at Duncan. She hits the paladin with a single poisoned arrow. Izenfen rushes into the cave and points at Shinoyari, healing him from a distance. Duncan takes 71+67 damage from Shinoyari's attacks, plus another 11 from Krekie's arrow, and he needs to make a DC 16 Fort save vs poison. Aranaias must make a DC 24 Will save or be Dominated.
