Then Camlann can switch to his Vigour aura next round and start healing himself and Gwen. Also - what is with this die roller! The zombies roll stupidly high all the time, and Camlann can't hit the broad side of a barn. When he does, it's for minimal damage. I mean, I'm happy he's doing well face tanking all the hits, and wearing down the zombies with his aura, but would it kill the die roller to actually let him hit something on his own terms? ☹️

Camlann Cobb "Ooof! Ow!" Camlann grunts in annoyance as shambling zombies strike solid blows, while silently thanking his ancestors for his inhuman resilience. When the first zombie collapses from his magical retaliation, he cheers loudly. "Feel the wrath of the Dragon King, abominations!" Heartened by this success, he tries again to bring down his enemies. Camlann Cobb Camlann easily parries the zombie's clumsy blow. In response, he pushes his weapon against the creature and attempts a draw cut with the axe blade. Thanks to his DR 3/cold iron, Camlann is only down 6 hp, i.e. he's currently at 17/23. If he drops to 11 hp or less, he can switch to his Vigour aura and heal himself back up to half HP. I'll add ongoing HP next time I post.

Glad I'm not the only one who's had this happen. Since I didn't know why, I just mark the forum as read and that clears things up...until next time.

He has no time to say more as his opponent drives the breath from his body from with a solid blow to the chest. It's a small consolation that both the zombie he is fighting and the one battling Gwen are struck with acidic energy for their efforts. Gritting his teeth, Camlann strikes back... It wasn't noted in the summary, but both the zombies in the front line took 2 points acid damage when they hit Gwen and Camlann. From here on out, I vote that Gwen should always be the first to engage. For all the crap rolls that Camlann gets, she gets stellar ones. Our fights would go a lot quicker if she's in there swinging from round 1. 😄

Okay, what's the problem with the SR system from your perspective? Once people learn how to calculate the SR cost of their actions, I'm not sure I see why it's so encumbering in PbP. It seems marginally more difficult to manage than having a set number of actions per round like in D&D and WFRP. The system itself is relatively straightforward - it's only when you're switching between multiple actions that you need to remember to add 3 SR. I'm sure we could manage to put together a table or something that makes it easy to read off the cost of various actions if that's what it takes.

How are things coming along? Any chance we'll be able to continue soon?
