  6. Both zombies decay a little more from the acid of Camlann's energy shield. Camlann slashes down one of the zombies, which collapses into dust.
  7. Gwen slashes down one of the zombies, which collapses and rapidly disintegrates into dust. Wilwick invokes the wrath of he gods against the zombies again, which decay further though none of them is destroyed. The zombies swing their axes again. One of them chops Camlann for 5 damage.   9. An issue with some fantasy settings is how they are stuck at a medieval level of technology for way too long. In the real world, the pyramids were built around 4,600 years ago, but in Forgotten Realms civilization goes back over 35,000 years! I can accept that elves and dwarves, with their long lives and general lack of interest in change, could remain at this medieval level for so long. So in my generic fantasy realm, I have humans coming from somewhere else in an unknown event just a few thousand years ago. At first they were primitive savages, and the story takes place when humans have reached a medieval level of technology. This event also caused the collapse of elven and dwarven civilization, which left plenty of their former outposts for humans to discover before either of these slow-growing civilizations could recover. This also results in humans having completely different religious ideas from other races, but that's another thing.

  11. The secret door pivots in its center, revealing a chamber of finished stonework about 30 feet deep and 15 feet wide. The room is clutter with crude furnishings, and the air is hazy with the smoke of a small cooking fire. Dozes of yellowed skulls are suspended from the ceiling by fraying ropes strung through holes punched in the bone. An orc in a ragged black robe glares at you with her face twisted in an expression of sheer rage, along with two other female orcs! Roll Initiative! Map--->

We'll apparently have to wait for this Varon to return before off loading the...arts. Meanwhile, I am going to make a few inquiries about what we discovered down there." He declares his trust in the priesthood in a deadpan tone. There is a clatter of dishes in the direction of the kitchen and a loud exclamation from the barmaid that draws attention for just a moment, and then he is suddenly gone. OOC

  14. Wilwick invokes the wrath of the gods against the abominations, causing all of them to decay a little. Another zombie shambles out of the darkness as two of them swing their axes at Camlann. One of them slams Camlann with his blade, dealing 7 Damage. The zombie sizzles as the acid Camlann manifests damages it further. Celuna fires, but misses. Camlann's attack glances off the zombie's armor. Fable hits the zombie, though it doesn't seem to much mind the dagger now sticking out of its shoulder. Round 2 is up. Can take your round 3 action.   15. Celuna rushes ahead and attempts a trick shot past Wilwick and Camlann at one of the zombies, though she misses. Camlann's blow glances off the zombie's armor. Fable hits one of the zombies, though it doesn't seem to much mind having an arrow sticking out of its chest. Crescenda knows all about zombies--they are especially susceptible to slashing damage.   16. Gerbimble moves to the front of the group. He doesn't sense anyone without range of his earthsense, but he is sure he can hear someone speaking indistinctly through the door.

Mahdi Dawud المهدي دَاوُوْد HP: 11/13 AC: 17 Character Sheet---> So far as Mahdi is concerned the bodies can be dispatched into the nearest mass pauper's grave without rites of any kind, and he notes to himself to find out who offers such services. "Dismantle the artifacts!? Those things are worth a fortune! The temple will take money for them because they...want to keep them out of the wrong hands?" He seems skeptical at that point, though what priests of a goodly god are doing with evil artifacts is none of his business so long as they pay well for them. "Perhaps you could tell me where this Varon is and I can fetch him myself?" He pulls his bandana over his face and pulls his hood up as he readies to run errands. OOC

  22. Close inspection of the doorway finds that it is not trapped, and apparently just a scary looking doorway. When everything seems safe, Wilwick and Camlann enter the spooky passage. No sooner does Wilwick thrust a torch into the darkness does he spot two zombies, obviously former hobgoblins, shambling out of the shadows! Roll Initiative!
