  1. Elevator pitch: a member of the fated Dawnbringer family, a legacy of celestial knights sworn to defend the world against the armies of the abyss. No, no, not Eramis Dawnbringer, the legendary general. Eramis was unfortunately assassinated by the fiends in the night prior to the attack. But someone has to inherit the family's blade of legacy - even if that someone, chosen by the sword itself, is a juvenile minor noble who spends most of his time on fencing competitions and magical tricks. Adventure came-a-knocking, and there is not much Elanis can do to change that. Mechanical pitch: a vexing trickster mesmerist who plays a "fake paladin", focused on sword and board fighting.
  2. Elevator pitch: a street urchin from the flying cities. She grew up to be an ambitious lawyer, hoping to rise through the ranks of Imperial bureaucracy - only to be placed in a miserable position by a rival. She is determined to do whatever she can, within the bounds of law and beyond them, in order to prove herself to the her higher ups, keep the empire's safety, and to continue to rise up, up, always up. Mechanical concept - still need to figure this ot, probably a divine class connected to the law domain or something
  3. I got ink, color, or astral - choosing color
  4. Name: Christopher Salvatore Character pitch: A powerful mutant born to a devout christian family, who saw him and his powers as signs of the second coming. As he grew older, and the world grew darker, people were drawn to the new beacon of light that was raised in the rural midwest. Chris struck out on his own, trying to escape his growing cult, his role in a religion he did not believe in, looking to make his own name in the world. But it seemed that the stronger and farther away he grew, the more people where drawn to him - a phenomenon that hasn't stopped to this day. Powers and abilities: Im thinking that Armageddon's main powers are disaster/blessing manipulation - a powerful area of effect that he can narrow down to specific locations or empower for a couple of monents at the time.
  5. Concept - a freelance mobster who specializes in smuggling and making moonshine, fights against those who think they can control or bend other people to their will - be they cops, politicians, or eldritch deities and their scions Quick backstory - Buck is the son of Diyonisus and a mortal fashion model named Narcisa Ricci. The Ricci family has had a long history of connection to the theoi, which helped them preserve their power as a noble family throughout the generations - and more recently, as a crime family. Narcisa didnt want her son to grow up in the mob, so she travelled around the US and tried to raise him alone, while doing her best to avoid her past - that is, until it came back in the form of 8 bullets to the chest from an old family rival. Buck was taken care of by his many cousins, who took him under their wind and taught him the family business, hoping to one day harness his unique skills in service to the Boss. After a couple of years, Buck realised that he liked the mobster lifestyle - but on his terms only, as a way to fight those who looked down on him and his kind his whole life. So he submitted his resignation in the form of a hand grenade and jumped out of the window, striking out on his own, ready to go wherever the wind and the wine will take him.
  6. Elevator pitch - Crypto is a magician who draws his power from his bank account - his main magical ability is the power to manifest the effects of his money on the world in an instant - forming new objects out of thin air, changing the loyalty of those whose loyalty can be bought, and shifting reality to his whims - within the reasonable limits of his bank account Short backstory - Crypto was born to a long line of crooks and charlatans who carried the ability to manifest money into power, just in time to join the new wave of fin-tech - which allowed him to gain more power than any of his ancestors could ever get. 8. Would there be a place for a crafter in this game? I know its low magic ish, but making weird magic items is a cool part of nordic myths.   Im thinking about someone who went and paid a heavy price to study/steal some of the secrets of the dwarves for making armor, and wants to forge armors for the world's greatest heroes.   Mechanically, an eldritch guardian fighter with the Master armorer armor training option - probably a melee character, whose main focus is crafting magical armors when he can.
  9. Ability scores roll xDiceName:xDiceString roll:repeat(drop(4d6,lowest),6) roll:repeat(drop(4d6,lowest),6)   Amanda Everton had everything she could ever dream of - through hard work, determination, and relentless optimism, she overcame every obstacle she faced - a Father that was never around, who only left her a single necklace. a Mother who couldn't finish the day without finishing a bottle of alcohol, that was trapped in the glory of her past as a former beauty queen. The rough treatment from teachers who were too cynical to believe that anything will ever come from a girl who grew up in THAT neighborhood. The way her classmates looked at her, whispered behind her back that she used her looks to cover what she was lacking in brains. But she knew none of that was true. Everything she ever made of herself, was because of her hard work and self belief. Captain of the basketball team, valedictorian, the girlfriend she was too scared to even ask out until their last year of high school - all of it was fairly earned. But that certinety changed when one day, she was looking at her options for college, and saw a letter inviting her to the Starlancer academy. Soon thereafter, she discovered she had no choice but to accept it. And when she met the school's commanding officer, she found out some disturbing details. Her father was not, in fact, a runaway B-list hollywood star - but rather an intergalactic pirate named "Farthrist". Farthrist's specialty was mental manipulation, who spent the last 30 years flying between the stars, looking for women who has the genetic potential to carry an offspring as powerful as him - women like Amanda's mother. And like the dozens of Farthrist's other children, she inherited some of his ability to affect minds through the Ether. She was sent to the academy, seperated from her girlfriend to whom she barely managed to send a confused "goodbye" letter, detailing some exclusive and weird private college program she is being sent to by the states, to a distant African country with no wireless access whatsoever. And here she is, at the gates of the Academy - excited to learn about a whole other world, to become a Starlancer - but also terrified, knowing that she has the ability to affect the minds of others - that from now on and forever, she'll never be able to feel like anything she ever accomplished is truly hers - and wondering if something will ever change about it. But for now, she will study, she will get better, on her own, she will learn to contain and control skills she inherited from her infamous father, she will become a Starlancer, and then she'll return home.
  10. Not sure about the details of the character - slowly inching towards a spellslinging blade singer with a crossbow   Looks like a decent set, but something i might want to use on another character type    Might be going with a genie bladelock, more details soon.

  12. Heres a potential concept - a fey warlock (pact of the tome) focused on communication and acting as a deal broker on behalf of his patron. He came to the village because he owed the wizard a favor over some deal or another that was made many years ago.
  13. Looks like a very interesting game. Quick rules questions - how do stormbound veils interact with mantle talents from the weather sphere? would the conditions inside the veil qualify as a certain weather?
