"Maybe. Or this place could be really old." She looked around. It could have been old, she guessed. "And whatever it was that brought us here was supposed to transform us, like it did Xander, Fred, and Madison, but it didn't work right. Maybe it ran out of steam or something. Maybe Riley got the clothes of the person she was supposed to be." It didn't explain Dallas though.
In her mind, Ariana put the students all in order from most changed to least: Xander (size, color, and shape), Fred (size and a little bit of shape), Madison (a little bit of size and shape), her (apparent health but no other change), Riley (minor cosmetic changes, as far as they could tell), and Dallas (no change at all, as far as they could tell).
Ariana looked back into the other room and tried to remember if that was the order they were lying in when they woke up. Then she walked over and helped the others open the gabinetes in the pillars.

"How do you feel?", Xander asked Ariana as he approached her, looking around in an vain attempt to find the missing oxygen tank.
The truth was, Ariana felt great. Ariana was practically drunk with how good she felt. As crazy as the last few minutes had been, trying to wrap their collective minds around what had just happened to them, she was giddy with her new-found health.

Aye, Madison, let's check out the sound of that water dripping. If I meet an untimely end in this realm, it won't be by dehydration I swear to that much. Be right with you.

Her blonde hair shone as brightly in the sun."Hang on, Riley. You're about to moon the room." Ariana came up behind Riley and grabbed the loose end of the wrap, pulled it out and then cinched it tight. Then she tied it off, so Riley wouldn't have to keep fretting over it.

"I have no memory of any of it," Ariana said. "I was at the doctor, I think. It's all hazy."

Ariana tried to turn away from the spot of sunlight that had fallen across her face. She began to pat around with her hands when she was awake enough to realize that she was lying down. It was a familiar but useless response to her confusion.
Ariana had some experience with waking up unexpectedly: waking up in her bed, waking up in a hospital bed, waking up in an ambulance, all after passing out. She patted the stone slab. That was alarming. She tried to open her eyes, but it was too bright. She patted her chest and face, feeling for the oxygen tube. It wasn’t there. That was very alarming. She took slow shallow breaths: slow to keep from hyperventilating; shallow to keep from starting a coughing fit. It was a familiar but entirely unnecessary response.
Pushing herself onto her side, Ariana looked over and saw Riley dressed all in white sitting up on the slab. Now she was thoroughly confused.
¿Dónde estoy? she muttered as she tried to sit up. She looked down at the floor and saw herself in the process. Ariana was wearing a white linen robe that reached her mid-thigh and was tied at the waist.
She looked around a bit frantically. “Where is my oxygen?”

I like that. I also like that she used to have a crush on Fred but now he's a halfling, and that's . . . well, really weird. 😁

I added a brief description. Let me know if you want more.

@LaChupa, what is your second choice? Just in case.
Probably Cleric, but I might also go Barbarian.

That is the way I understood it—we post in this forum.
@Caystodd, if you want me to move her, let me know. Decided to go with a fighter instead of a cleric. I'll try to get my description done tonight after work. ¡No puedo esperar!

Ariana Gonzalez, Fighter
Sixteen, lithe body, eager eyes, wild hair, tanned skinAriana Gonzalez was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis just after her birth and has spent a good chunk of her life in the bed or in the hospital. The crippling illness has left her frail and sallow and frequently in need of supplemental oxygen. Ariana is good in school and loves cooking.
In her fantasy fighter form, Ariana is a little taller and much healthier, but still mostly looks like herself. She is, however, unbelievably strong and fast and tough . . . ella es fuerte como un toro.

R.I.P. Samantha.
Are you going to do playbooks first come, first served? I'd love to play a Cleric.

Maria slept like a baby. She always did when she slept in Agnes' bed.
Their late-night rendezvous had been a staple of their relationship for some years now. It was a subject they never spoke about. Agnes would leave her bedroom door cracked as an invitation, an invitation Maria always accepted, and it was usually expected that Maria would go back to her room when they were finished. But on some nights, like last night, Maria slept through until morning, sleeping as close to Agnes as she could. But when the sun was up, Agnes would become Dr. Livingston again, and they would part ways without a word . . . until the next time.
The sun peeked around the curtains on the east-facing window, and Maria opened her eyes. A new day, and still a great mystery to solve.

I've got nothing.

I had no idea what I was going to read when I went over to the story thread.
I was a little disappointed. 😉
-
Ditto. But Maria will be up early to make sure Livingston has everything she needs and then some robust exercise.
-
Bird watching!
Nope. Not even close.

SAN!
Like a rock.

Maria looked away quickly from the birds. "¡Dios nos salve a todos!" she whispered and crossed herself.
"¡Dr. Livingston!" Maria called. "¡Dr. Livingston!" she repeated with a sense of urgency.
When Coupard and Dr. Livingston inevitably looked over, she pointed up into the tree, her hand in front of her chest so as to not draw attention to it and without looking up.

Spot Hidden
That is a hard success.

Livingston turned to Maria and said quietly, "Quédate con la chica. Es posible que ella no hable inglés."
"Sí, Señora."
Maria walked over to where the menfolk were trying to entertain and persuade the Ramirez girl. She kept her distance but tried to crane her neck to see what the girl was writing on the crossroad puzzle.

Ariana opened an alcove for herself and found inside a set of scale armor and a massive spear with a broad blade and several nasty hooks and serrated edges.
"Dios mío. This is totally badass."
The spear felt perfectly balanced and light in her hand. She knew it was made for her the moment she touched it. The blade hummed the air as she moved the top of the spear around.
There was also a pack in the alcove and a metal buckler. The shield also felt light as a feather.
"Open one for yourself," Ariana said to Riley and Dallas. "This stuff is great." Ariana didn't know why these items made her so excited. She wasn't really all that into fantasy stuff anyway, or weapons, but this . . . this was something.
