    Tunnel fighting was just a Dwarf thing. A large part of him wanted to force the fight inside the tunnel, but in order for the fire plan to work, Doørfin needed to let Malice get as close as possible.

    The moment the demon woman got the edge of the tunnel, the smith-warrior turned the corner and stepped in front of her. "Stop right there, ye blasted beastie! NOW!!!" he cried out, hoping to use the surprise to bring his axe and shield to bear on her. He'd pause for a single moment while the plan was enacted but then fully guard the entrance.

    Serpe helped to reassure the archer. He didn't know much about the gods or what made the world move. The priest seemed to create something of an anchor for Cyrus. "Arcantryl huh? You'll have to tell me more. And don't worry, I've got eyes on everybody." He gave the man a solid nod as he disappeared into the dark.

    Allen and Black Dougal both then went down, leaving Cyrus by himself for a moment. A shiver ran down his spine again. Quickly he made his way down the rope.

    At the bottom the group began to spread out and explore. Cyrus pulled an arrow and kept it nocked as they moved forward. He made a face at BD's words. "Bleh, don't remind me. I swear I can still smell it every now and then."

    "We ran into them before," Luciana explained to Dianara as the group walked. "The one went manic and nearly took his fingers off upon my blade instead of yielding. I kill only when necessary, but mercy is reserved for those worthy its blessing."

    In the new cavern, Luci nodded, "A fair idea. It is a miracle something hasn't slithered from here behind us. It is high time to clear this area before checking more behind the statue."

    Back to Dianara, while Zalven scampered in the crack, the paladin offered, "We know little. As Iodás said, a blood cult stealing people from above. We are here to find a missing Ixian child. Long black hair. I wager we'll find those answers passed the guardian. But tell me, what did you experience?"

    "Okay! Now we glow!" Bunnie said, seeing all the trapped people free and everyone safely across the bridge. She held her furry white arms up, splaying too many fingers out on her hands as her feet danced about a little.

    "Come, no more here. Follow!" Bunnie added, following Ygg, Bamzaw and Mim.

    Luciana's eyes narrowed as she spotted the men. "You had your chance for redemption. Do as he says and flee. If I ever see you again I will assume you are doing evil and put this sword in your heart," she said, drawing her blade and shield, intent on walking passed them.

    No worries. Work's been... weird lately. My schedule changed again and I've found myself more checking the forums when at home than at work. I browse Reddit too much at work for the memes XD

    I just want to make sure we don't lose too much momentum.

    Soon, very soon, the 5th shall have it's Revenge here as well.

    I made a meme about the radiation grenades. So many comments are going on and on about how a simple healing spell or cute disease would instantly reverse radiation damage.

    I keep telling people magic works differently in different game settings (shh don't tell em it's an osr system!).

    At least I'm doing a little karma farming lol over 500 upvotes right now.

    The night's rest was hard fought for as Luciana's mind refused to stop. Guilt tried to worm its way into her soul but the paladin sought the vows of Artemis to see her through the trial. Magnus' death and the torture of Iodás were not her own fault. They made their decisions with free will. She should definitely not be the corpse Magnus was preparing for burial. Nope.

    In the morning, Luciana groaned and ordered the New Fashioned again. "What a night. I barely slept. How are the rest of you feeling?"

    The paladin looked over at Dathan and Dianara and felt a pang of doubt. "You are welcome to join our just cause. A boy is missing. But you will not be faulted for turning away. Nor you, Iodás." She looked at the warlock. "You've born so much torment already. I am thankful you are free of that cursed armor at least."

    One by one several of Cyrus' companions went into the dark hole. A shiver ran down the archer's spine. "Are--" his voice cracked. He coughed. "Are we all going? What if it's just a hole?"
