@cailano Does the bowyer have any stock beyond what's listed in the book? (edit: Oh wait there's lots of Basic Fantasy books I downloaded)
Or perhaps I could start paying them to work on a mastercrafted weapon for me or something? "You missed a payment so your piece will collect dust for a week. Sorry." lol

Okay, back the way we came.

hooray more XP! Sorry for the extra work Grin.
No worries, I kinda like bookkeeping. Digital organization just feels shiny.

It seems like we're more in favor of trying to hash this out via RP, no? Why don't we post up a couple of sneaky people and see if a parley ends up on its head or not?

I've got 6 torches bought from my first purchase. I've never had a hand free to spark one up lol.
Also I need to level up Luciana. I'll do that now.

Luciana would lead the way back down into the limestone caverns, as usual, but this time her typical zeal was missing.
"Did we not already sacrifice enough blood?" she barked. She looked away and winced as she realized what she was saying.
"I'm... I'm so sorry. Their deaths will haunt me to my grave, because I could not figure out the statue's puzzle quickly enough. If you think we have a chance to solve it, I will again lead the way, but there is no shame in avoiding an unwinnable fight. Lost equipment be damned, our lives are more important."

That's what I was worried about.
Apologies to all for further delays. I've got a big faculty meeting that will run well past 5 and then I've got a long drive to pick up my wife at an airport. I doubt I'll get a post out today. I should be good to post tomorrow.
No worries. I'm trying to focus on lots of smaller updates rather than fewer gigantic ones. Post when life lets you :)

I'd say one move action would let you reach at least one if not two of the bikers (the building isn't very wide so the corner is near the front door). I want to make sure you aren't spending your whole turns just moving places lol

Well crud. Do we risk letting people sleep in there?

Updated with more links (both the IC declaration of selling items and the OOC declaration of how much it was) as well as new math where hirelings aren't stealing our numbers 💀

Gold I've updated but not XP yet. Am I right, folks, that based on the current XP thread and what we just brought back to town, humans like our PCs should have 430 XP at this point? Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong there! :)
Sorry, I got sick and little behind these last couple of days. I'll update shortly.
2 minutes ago, Sellsword said:I would assume XP is based on the amount of gold the group acquires, divided by the number of players. What we do with that gold (pay off Tamson, hoard some in a group account) shouldn't affect the XP we gain. That's just my $0.02 as a DM, I'll go along with whatever the final ruling is.
I agree with this. We brought back the whole pot but afterward paid Tamson, so we ought to be doing XP that way.
If anyone disagrees, say your peace now, but I don't think anyone will mind more XP! Otherwise, I'll go adjust the tracking thread.

At the Strumpet again, Cyrus lumbered his way to a table and ordered his meal and ale along with another night of rest. He let Black do his thing trying to fish for rumors but when the Brigands walked in, the archer's eyes found a very interesting bowl of food to eat. He even found himself counting the notches in the edge of the table...
The Barrowmoors had been a sobering experience for the young man. He couldn't help but hear his mother's words of warning in his ear.
There's bad men out there, Cyrus!
Yes, mother, I--
And they'll do anything for your coin! Violent things. Don't talk to them.
Alright, I'll be--
And don't pick a fight you can't win, okay? Cyrus, do you hear me? Gods, were your father here to talk some sense into you...
I know, mother, but I'll--
You'll be fine, I know...
Cyrus glanced up once at the Brigands again and a shiver ran through him. He gulped down the remainder of his ale.

Sirona is waiting for you at the spaceport. It's a supposedly safe planet so it's cheaper for her to just stay here rather than pay for fuel. However, that does mean the Vipers might harass her if not dealt with presently. 😈

Tetra smoothly made his way into the kitchen with speed only a martial artist could muster. He ducked and slid under counter tops and the cook's haphazard cooking style, rolled over a crate of ingredients, and finally dove into a roll over debris from building damage. He found himself outside but at an alleyway. From there he crept up to the area where demands were being made but stayed just out of sight.
Remy and Zen posted up beside the front door, taking in the scene easily as small holes in the frame let sound through. The droid's message made it to Nina's ear whilst scanning for any communications in the city. Over the course of nearly twenty seconds Remy detected thirteen different messages, twelve of which were not encrypted and involved gossip or simple conversations. All the signals originated from within the city, though the encrypted one drew Remy's attention. He narrowed it down to a large building on the far end of the land bridge.
Zen's wise eyes scanned for snipers but found none. It wasn't surprising; these gangers didn't strike the security officer as particularly clever. Not like what he'd been used to fighting. They stank of flair and showmanship, not a true threat or villain. Luckily everyone that didn't want to be involved in the violence had taken cover. A beggar around the corner immediately--and drunkenly--fell over on the spot as he tried to extricate himself from the scene.
Kessra awaited an answer...
-
I'm not sure if I answered you about the concussion rifle, but I think it's okay. The knockdown would be useful for Tetra to take advantage of!
Also, whenever you engage your communication scanner, go ahead and roll a Use Computer check with it. It needs an active hand in its function to determine if you intercept and/or even find a channel to listen in on. I'll roll you one now and see if I need to include it in my update.
Wow, okay with a 25 you know the number, type, direction, and distance of any messages going on, in a 50 km radius!

It is dark, you are likely to be eaten by a grue.

Oh, hey, the petition for Australia is up. At least I'm pretty sure that's the right one, it doesn't say 'Stop Killing Games' but it does say 'require software sold to remain in a functional state after the end of the product's support period'.
That sounds like the one. That's the goal here: to make companies shut down a game properly and responsibly, not to force them to provide endless support.

Gruza would be nigh immortal with a 17 luck 😝

I'm good. I'm afraid to go exploring without a full team. But they might need our help in order to get out. I lost all my momentum from the deaths, I admit.

"I apologize Dathan, I have not been the most...attentive recently. You have already helped us on our journey to right wrongs and for that I welcome you."
Stepping back into the room was an effort of will for the paladin. She stared up at the statue but then saw smears of blood where once there were bodies.
"Look there, someone or something has dragged away our companions... Maybe there is yet hope for their rescue!" Luci said with the first hope
