  1. Dax, did you miss Kuz'Arak's post? Looks like Nalah is waiting on that. Also, you acknowledged Kyros' turn, but he's still listed in the "May Act" section above.
  2. Dax Thura said: One interact action is enough, but you haven't spoken long enough to get the Make an Impression. If you wanted to try to identify him, though.... -------------------- Don't mind if I do...thanks. Garion blinks in surprise as the strange creature responds ... directly into his mind. He has many questions, that will have to wait. But, given the conversation went quicker than he expected, Garion has enough time to take a long swig from his , activating its power. He attempts to recall what he knows about the creature. Note: Activating the Jug (1/hour) grants a RK check at +2, and turns a Failure into a Success. Cost: Stupefied 1, 3 rounds. Religion to RK w/ Jug, DC 26 Nodding knowingly, he says loud enough for the group to hear, "Ahh, so you're an osyluth ... a devil inquisitor specializing in torture." Assuming the telepathy goes both ways, Garion responds telepathically, "Yes ... we're interested. But I have questions." Actions ◆ Interact; Frequency once per hour; Effect: You take a long swig on the jug and then Recall Knowledge about a creature you can see, with a +2 circumstance bonus to the check. If you fail but don't critically fail this check, you get a success instead. You're then stupefied 1 for 3 rounds.
  3. Garion moves into the room. With the group seemingly keeping the hags in check, Garion turns to the invisible being. Still holding his , the little gnome bows formally and says, "Greetings, friend. I'm Garion. You are a fascinating creature." Ignoring the mayhem raging around him, Garion continues, "We mean you no harm. We're just passing through this dreamgate, and must defend ourselves from your ... associates?" Garion shrugs and awaits a response. In the meantime, he observes the situation along with the invisible entity. Actions ◆ Stride ◆◆ Interact (talk) x2 Note: Dax, hopefully, the above chit-chat isn't too out-of-line since I'm spending 2 interact actions. But feel free to modify as you see fit. Ideally, Garion would attempt to , but RAW, it requires 1 minute of conversation. Having said that, happy to make a Diplomacy check if allowed.
  4. Watching through his prying eye, Garion sees the odd monstrosity just disappear. He mutters, "seeing is believing" and casts on himself. Then, he moves into the corridor to see what he can see. Actions ◆◆ (Duration: 10 min) ◆ Stride Note: Prying Eye is dismissed, since it's not being sustained.
  5. With his view of the next room, Garion describes, "In the next room, there are 2 more hags ... larger hags. And a strange bony-fleshy creature." Sense Motive, DC 30 He's feels like there's more information to share, but he just can't put his finger on it. "Missed it by that much, Chief."
  6. Dax, you said "Right now..." Do you mean Garion can do those RK checks for free right now? Or do you mean, he can spend actions to do so on his next turn?
  7. With everyone rushing past him in a blur, Garion decides it's safe(ish) to head back into the scary room. To give himself some options, he mutters "stride inside" casting to move near Drasil. From his current position, he peers into the far corridor beyond the horse that haunts his dreams. In an attempt to keep an eye on the evil hag, he chants, "I spy" to cast . He describes what he sees to the group. He positions an invisible floating eye in the approximate center of B4, attempting to track the hag's movements. Actions ◆ Time Jump (stride x2) ◆◆ Prying Eye
  8. I'm sure Nalah will clear this up, but I don't think Nalah's post was meant to be her turn. It sounds like it was a Retributive Strike, triggered on Garion taking damage. Is that right, Nalah? But Garion didn't take damage, so .... ? Regardless of the triggered reaction (if it was a triggered reaction), pretty sure Nalah still has all 3 actions of her Round 1 turn, yes? Or maybe I'm just really confused (smart money is on that!) Edited: P.S. Dax, in the tracker, Garion should be down to 2 hero points. Also, if the Hag took 46 from lightning and 24 from Kyros, should she be at -70, not -60? Or maybe she has some resistances ... if so, never mind.
  9. Nalah, thanks for the help with Retributive Strike, but thanks to Empathetic Plea, Garion escaped damage. So, no need! It all happened so fast! First the scary horse was charging and rearing, and then Garion is being shaken by Hamaar. He turns to the dwarf, "Did I faint?" He starts to explain, "I had a nightmare ... there was this giant black horse..." The disoriented gnome suddenly realizes it's very real ... and still there. He chants, "thunderbolts and lightning, very very frightening", and sends a at both enemies. Lightning Bolt (5th rank) w/ Dang. Sorc [Lightning Bolt outlined on map. Each enemy: Basic Reflex DC 27] Then, as calmly as he can, he says to Hamaar and Nalah, "pardon me" and excuses himself into the previous room. Actions ◆◆ Lightning Bolt ◆ Stride
  10. Ahh...good to know. Will try to remember that going forward. Thanks. BTW, if any kind soul wants to spend 1 of their valuable actions to: 'rouse Garion from his sleep', that would be most welcome. If not, according to the , maybe Garion gets to make a free Perception check? Unconscious with more than 1 hp: "Loud noise around you might wake you. At the start of your turn, you automatically attempt a Perception check against the noise's DC (or the lowest DC if there is more than one noise), waking up if you succeed." Is that about right, Dax? Haha ... I didn't know "noise" had a DC. :)
  11. Sorry to ruin your best-laid plans, Dax. Really I am. (Need a Deception check?) In any case, it's not for want of trying, is it? :) The number of times that Garion aka Bait (everyone's favorite Bite-sized Bravo) has almost gotten eaten ... Regarding a reroll on the Save vs Sleep, nah, let's not tempt fate. At DC 30, he's as likely to crit fail, as succeed. So maybe best to take a nap -- until some kind soul rouses him awake. P.S. As much as it pains you, I believe Garion's hit points should be put back to full in the tracker, yes? (Albeit maybe not for long.)
  12. Sigh ... that could arguably have gone better ... As the nightmare attacks, Garion displays his puppydog eyes and asks in sad, hurt tone, "So ... that's a 'no' on the drinks?" He makes an to the charging horse. Diplomacy for Empathetic Plea Diplomacy vs Will DC (Success => -6 damage to all strikes. Crit Success => no attacks, wasted actions) Fort DC 23 [Hero Point] Fort DC 23 Will DC 30 [Note: Looks like a Mythweaver bug. Hero Point Fort Reroll shows up correctly as a 36 (below the post where rolls are listed), but here inline, it's just displaying the same nat-1.]
  13. I wouldn't bet against Kyros! In the meantime, nice time for a nat-20 ... maybe Garion will live to see another day? Dare to dream ... (appropriately in the Dreamgate)
  14. When the group suggests speaking with the hag, Garion volunteers and cautiously steps forward to the edge of the hallway and peeks inside. Holding his , he raises his hands in a non-threatening manner and says, "Greetings. I'm Garion. My friends and I are just passing through. We mean no harm ..." he quickly adds, "... unlike that tree in the next room. Be careful with it!" Indicating his flask, the little gnome asks, "Would you care to join me for a drink? Best ale in Breachill." Gazing at the nightmare, Garion adds, "That's a fine steed you have there. Does she have a name?" He stands bravely, sincerely hoping he doesn't need a medic very shortly.
