Glad you liked it! His next "plot beat", to go a bit meta, will be to hunt down a burner phone and get a number that's not quite so easily traced back to him.
Also, part of why this is slow going is figuring out what the right "plot assumptions" are. Given the city, Jake's pretty paranoid about things being traced back to his family. That means he's more likely to reach out to the other heroes (if can figure out how) than to the police, since who knows how the police can track things back to you. I don't know how to get around that.
Really, I should have had either some investigative skills or a more solid police contact to act as an intermediary. As it is, I've got Wreck-It Ralph blundering around trying to do the right thing. :-)
I didn't expect players to be paranoid but it actually makes perfect sense. Any real mistake can come back to bite them. But I'm trying to intro NPCs the heroes might be able to trust. What also is important is using your skills, perks and talents to learn what you can about the city.

The Yellow Brick Row
Maximilian Mars nodded as he reclaimed his phone and waved as he exited the area - at the perimeter he was joined by Chief Toliver as he walked away.
Except for law-enforcement personnel, reporters and firefighters the Row was nearly a ghost town - all the shops were closed and all civilians had been cleared ...

Why does it look like Adhra is closer to the pack, instead of being further away? I stated that she backed away, so as to use the advantage of range and not get surrounded. I know movement is more narrative, but I'm a ranged character--I will do what it takes to stay out of melee if possible.
Yeah the pack moved closer. I can update her moving further away on the upcoming map update.

In terms of suvivability (my personal opinion, so take it for what it is), when drek really hits the fan, you've got a ~25% survivability rate for Black Trenchcoat. ~50% for Brown Business Suit. ~75% chance for Red Bodysuit. And for Pink Mohawk if you die it's usually for plot reasons or you made too many bad decisions the GM couldn't save you from lol.

Awesome. I will try to keep it believable. Over time and as their bond with their horse grows they talk to their horses, though in the books they make it clear that its not real they just feel that they know what the horse is thinking and make up responses they think they would be saying. ie When they groan at the bump in the road the horse looks back at them as if to say "You should not have drank that last ale dumbass"
That's great RP and I wish more players were as into characterization as yourself 🙂

Andrak Attack on the Plains
Everyone:
Elkor's mighty sword flashes with ferocity slashing off the andrak's head like a hot knife through butter!
Using a wagon for cover Vahanna unleashes a gleaming dagger that strikes a charging andrak in its black-maned throat causing the beast to jump back and recoil in snarling pain - severely-wounded the predator refused to fall!
Focusing on the dangerous beasts, Karim looses an arrow catching an andrak in its left eye! The massive canine-feline creature growled in reaction as it whipped its head back and forth trying to dislodge the piercing shaft!
Adhra fired an arrow into a stalking andrak striking the creature in its left shoulder - it had been harmed but not felled!
The adventurers' deadly assault strikes with such speed and precision that the andrak pack AND the nearby guardsmen all hesitate stunned by the party's imposing martial prowess!
Map
The andrak with the big red "X" on it was killed by Elkor.
Injured andraks (two at this point) have a red dot on them.

Awesome. So has my characterization of my horses actions been ok? I did not want to push too far on how trained it was. As I mentioned before kinda using the Ranger Apprentice series of books as inspiration for my character. Their ranger horses are super smart and well trained.
PCs' animals are yours to RP as you like 👍

I assume stalking is the right skill for being quiet and not being heard when coming up on someone. Not that it matters, it seems I stepped on every twig on the way there and then farted when I got beside them.
"Scouting" is the special skill for Hunters (to move undetected, and also detect others, in wilderness areas) and you perform it at 90% - so you succeeded 😃

Seamus is pretty focused. Which does mean he'd like to explore all of the personalities that can impact the Vendetta Project so that he can attempt to account for that and make contingency plans. But the priority at this point is getting his battlesuit combat ready since he'd never had innocents involved in any of his previous encounters and combat had been kept to a minimum.
That works. We know AstroLabs is interested in partnership and you can handle that however you like in terms of how small or big NuTech will be.

The Plains
Everyone:
Elkor, Karim and Vahanna cut down three more of the panther-wolves while leaving one more andrak wounded!
Five of the remaining andrak attack the guardsmen biting and ripping at the beleaguered defenders! Four of the guardsmen are snatched off their horses and drug away from the caravan in the jaws of snarling andraks! A remaining guardsman swings his sword at a wounded andrak but misses the creature - while the last guard stays between the wagons defending them from attack!
Map
The six andrak are withdrawing from the caravan area with the four captured guardsmen.
A 2d6 + Mind + combat or wildlife related Career to know the four captured guards are already dead.
