  2. Iliana Walton Iliana, seeing the state that her comrades were in, needed to come up with something to get them back in the fighting spirit. She could not fend Danner's group alone. "You have stood by my side back at the tavern, you were ready to defend me", she said while raising one of her daggers, pointing it towards Danner "So why would you hesitate now? Look at him, being a coward, ambushing us. Look him straight in the eyes! It is time to show this tormenter that he cannot push people around for his selfish gains!   4. Iliana Walton Iliana decides that the best course of action right now is to make an opening for the rest of the team to exploit. She attempts to cut the current escape path of the fox off, leading it towards Spike.   5. Iliana Walton Iliana spots the fox and gives the signal to the rest of the group, making sure they'll understand the location of the target beast. She wastes no time in going after it. She reaches out and pulls out a pair of daggers, her weapons of choice. Iliana chases after the fox alongside Spike. Her loyal companion keeping track of the hunted animal.   6. Iliana Walton Iliana and the group formed a party together. They decided to take on the quest asking to find the rare Red Fox and bring its tail. On the way to the tower Ziaeddin was staying behind the group, being twitchy the entire way. Roshini's shield having a carving of the Medusa's head only creeped him out further. "So, are you going to tell me about what happened between both of you?" Roshini asked, noticing the tension between the two companions. "What do you mean?" replied Ziaeddin "There's nothing wrong, holy one, just a simple misunderstanding. We've never seen each other before." "Yes, that seems to be the case. Simple misunderstanding, great Hiereiai. I don't want to involve you in such an awkward situation, let us focus on something better." added Iliana "Listen, I don't know wha-" Roshini could easily tell that both are lying, but before finishing her sentence, Ziaeddin quickly changed the subject. "Hey, would you look at that! We're right next to the Tower's entrance, and yet, we have not the slightest outline of a plan on how to catch the animal. We should get on that! After all, this is why we're here." The party entered the Tower as they organized a plan. Iliana would climb the highest point in the area in order to scan the surroundings. Meanwhile, Ziaeddin checks the spots that are hard to see from the vantage point, making sure there are no blind spots that the beast might be hiding in. At the same time Roshini makes an effort to notice any traces of a fox, as finding the area where the fox dwells and focusing the attention on that location should cut down the time and effort needed.   7. Iliana Walton "Ah, Hiereiai, I'm very thankful that you have decided to help me." Iliana replied to Roshini, a person she was familiar with, feeling relief as the situation went in her favor. "And thank you too, sir. May I ask your name so I could properly thank you as well?" Iliana was glad but at the back of her mind she was trying to control the rage she felt hearing the remark about hurting Spike. After getting Dagen's name, Iliana thanked him again. Then, after having a moment to calm down, she turned back to Roshini. "I was wondering if I could join you as a party member, Roshini.   8. Iliana Walton Iliana tries to judge the intent of the massive figure standing right in front of her. If he is all about show of force and status, then this scene can be de-escalated. Iliana prefers this outcome, compared to a meaningless fight. On the other hand, if the situation is about to turn into a fight, she has to be prepared to act swiftly. Iliana keeps her guard up in order to defend from any attack coming her way. Showing too much hostility or weakness can lead to a brawl, therefore, taking a stance that is not aggressive, but calm is useful. This moment of tension can quickly turn into a fight, so Iliana has to stay alert and discern her opponent's intentions. "Iliana" She starts speaking, considering that the warrior is yet to attack.   10. Iliana Walton Iliana enters the guild hall alongside Spike in order to get a mission from the questing board. She bows and greets Rolia and continues moving towards the request board. For now she is only required to gain access to the board, but thinking in advance she decides to get ahead of the crowd so that she'll have the options to choose from. Her one goal she sets to herself at this moment is to seek out a favorable mission. Iliana considers the ways to get to the board. Flashing the Kaliodos insignia will draw too much unwanted attention, not to mention that getting on the bad side of guild's members is only a detriment. Fighting is not even an option. She decides to act in the way that would use the disorder of the people. Utilizing her speed and dexterity, she waits for an opportune moment to move through the gaps in between people, slowly getting closer to the board, Spike following close behind her. This requires patience and quick thinking to notice the openings and take advantage of them.   12.     1. Tell me a little about yourself I don't have much experience with pbp so I have no idea about ideal post frequency. Played a couple of them but most fizzled out quickly. I played with PbtA since 2020 with Masks, Avatar, Monster of the Week and some others so I have a decent grasp on the system, mostly non-pbp one-shots though. Question: How do you handle character sheets? What are the expectations about the tone/atmosphere?   2. How familiar are you with the world of Avatar? Saw original series several times. I think that during the season 1 of Korra as the time where the big jump away from TV occurred, so I only saw the first episode and some clips online. Read a couple of wiki pages about the rest.   3. What's a favorite Avatar moment, and why? Tales of Ba Sing Se, Iroh's story. It's THE emotional moment of the series.   4. Is there a playbook (or several) you're especially interested in? The Prodigy or The Pillar. I had an idea about The Merchant character with The Guardian/The Elder but I don't think it can fit mid-campaign.   5. Tell me about the character you'd like to play in five sentences or less I can change a lot if needed. My character, Chepi, is a waterbender from the Northern Water Tribe who was working at the Spirit Oasis as a servant. His waterbending skills were noticed when he started shaping the environment to travel quickly through the city, and so, he began training under master Siku. He was competing for a future position at the Spirit Oasis, but one of the families used their connections to put Chepi on the team that was sent to the Earth Kingdom to bolster the resistance. He expected to be given that position but now he will use his current situation to gain renown to leverage back home.   5. Fiction Narrative Somewhere in the Earth Kingdom Chepi is travelling through the forest, quickly moving towards his camp. He has successfully scouted the Fire Nation encampment and avoided detection. Effortlessly shaping the slides to avoid branches, creating ramps to jump over rivers and streams and efficiently traversing the terrain. He is feeling the wind brushing his hair, exhilarating speed. In these moments, Chepi feels blissful. He soon arrives at his camp, ready to present his findings to the leader of the group. On the way he sees one of the young soldiers, Lan. "Hey there, waterbender, you were the one scouting the encampment, right?" "My name is Chepi, and yes, that was my mission." "Yes, Chepi, did you make sure you were not followed?" "Of course, I take pride in my work. Now excuse me, as I need to show the information I gathered to Captain Gao." "Sure, but before you go, can I ask you one thing?" "What is it?" "You act like a professional just because you did this one mission quietly, but this is war. Can we rely on you in a fight?" "After I've done my business, how about a sparring match? That will answer your question." Lan turned his back to Chepi before stating "I know just the place." After telling where to find him, Lan walks away, allowing Chepi to finish his task. He went to the large stone box, that is used by Captain Gao as a command post. Chepi shows the sketches of the enemy encampment, using his waterbending skills to describe it with more accuracy. After being dismissed, Chepi rests for a bit, before going to spar with Lan. "You sure took your time." said Lan, not hiding his annoyance "Are you ready?" Before Chepi could answer both of them heard many footsteps. Suddenly, a group of bandits appeared, surrounding both. Chepi is now alarmed, as there were too many bandits for both of them to deal with. "What is happening!?" Chepi said, his voice clearly showing his shock Len blurted out "What are you doing? Shouldn't we be united against the Fire Nation?" The answer given by one of the bandits did not inspire much confidence for the unfortunate duo "Oh, we'll be stealing from them as well. When we're ready! Just give up your weapons and valuables, and you'll get only mildly hurt."   6. Cooperative Narrative Chepi is under a bridge, neck deep in water. Recently, a small group of Fire Nation soldiers passed through, forcing young waterbender to quickly find a hiding spot. After making sure that the way is clear, he gets out of the river. He is ready to continue his scouting mission, but a large flame erupts in the air. 'A flare? Oh no, someone's in danger!' Quickly turning around and crossing the bridge, Chepi is ready to follow the trail the small detachment gone through. 'No use trying to spy on the camp' Chepi reasoned 'They will all be on high alert' He needed to act quickly, before a much bigger and organized force arrives. On the positive side, the flare meant that whoever were fighting the Fire Nation soldiers gave them enough trouble to signal for reinforcements. On the negative side, the time was running out and organizing a way out for a sizable group is a problem he'll have to think a way out of in incredibly limited time. Chepi immediately thought of an idea that would buy the fellow resistance fighters some time. Pushing some of the water over the bridge and freezing it would surely slow down the reinforcements. Bridge being made of wood was a great thing as it meant that the firebenders would have to be especially cautious. Rushing onto the scene of the clash, Chepi noticed all soldiers having been trapped in the earth up to their ankles, a great tactic for someone not belonging to the army. Then he spotted that almost all of the soldiers having their hands tied up with wines, preventing them from using their firebending. A feat of coordination that most big ragtag group of resistance fighters wouldn't dream of achieving. And the one that didn't knocked out cold. 'Their leader must be someone pretty good!' thought Chepi. Seeing a group of people, all teenagers no less, Chepi had to identify the leader, as they would be a force to be reckoned with if cooperating fully with the main force of the Earth Kingdom in the area. Chepi with little effort is able to identify who is the person every other member was following. 'The dark-haired young man has to be their leader, that's for sure!' Chepi used his bending to quickly catapults himself out in front of the group, making sure to display his waterbending. Hopefully that will make the group have at least a bit of trust in him. Addressing Mino, Chepi put together a short speech. "Hello! We have no time to spare. I am an ally, working for Captain Gao of the Earth Kingdom's Army. You need to follow me. I know a safe way out. But first we need to buy some time. I noticed that the firebenders got trapped in the earth, so I know you have an earthbender amongst you. I have a perfect way out if that is indeed true and the earthbender is fine." Quickly thinking, Mino turns the earth behind the soldiers into quicksand and uprooting some of the trees on the way to buy everyone some time. Chepi quietly tells Mino the location and way to the safe zone, but Mino, knowing the local territory better informs Chepi of faster and more hidden area. Chepi decides to follow Mino's advice. Mino is able to swiftly organize the group and leave the area. While leading the group deeper into the forest, Chepi praises Mino for his leadership skills. After a long run, Chepi led the group to the waterfall, a good escape route since they had an earthbender. "Here's the plan to leave the area safely. I will split the flow and I need Mino to create an opening in this part of a cliff." Chepi points out the specific spot. "Inside is a tunnel leading to the other side of the ridge. If you have any questions, you can ask them as soon as we close the tunnel. Are you with me?"
  13. Can I discuss my ideas with you? I have played Fate once. I have an old concept of an agile agent working for someone powerful with a dog companion. I can change a lot if it doesn't work for the game.

Born to a family of servants. Since childhood she liked to run around, climbing trees and fences, so trained herself to be a good climber and sprinter. Her skills showed potential and caught the attention of important family member. Then she was ordered to receive combat training and animal handling to become an agent loyal to them. During that time she became much stricter, many people would now describe her simply as a weapon in the hands of the Kaliodos family. Iliana feels it is her duty to follow the commands of the Kaliodos as rigid discipline is all she known for a long time. In training she received Spike, an attack dog, as a companion, the only one she could be friendly with. On one of her missions she assassinated a traitorous informant, angering one of the bandit groups known as "The Jade Serpents". The Jade Serpents are pursue to acquire rare minerals in order to be able to perform magic rituals and gain enchanted weaponry. Now she is tasked with investigating the Tower and bringing anything of note to them as the family tries to strengthen their position in the intercity trade and empower their informant network.
