  1. Yeah, I only remembered Shield and Pike Style because I happened to see it while looking up something else. There IS a compiled list of all Dragon Magazine feats and flaws that some awesome person put together here: .
  2. As I just mentioned, Pike and Shield style. One feat, get your inner Greek hoplite on.
  3. Rudolf already weighed in in the post above, so yeah, they're fine with it as far as I know.
  4. There is a Dragon Magazine feat in Dragon 338, , that lets you wield a 2H reach weapon and a light shield together.
  5. You can't use the natural weapons for the Flurry of Blows yes, but Flurry of Blows is part of making a Full Attack. So, I Full Attack, I get my normal iterative attacks (including any bonus attacks from Haste, Snap Kick, etc.) + Flurry of Blows attack(s) (which causes all attacks made in the round to take the Flurry penalty) + my natural weapon attacks (with their normal penalty for attacking with secondary weapons).
  6. I have a question regarding the Monk ACF Prayerful Meditation from Complete Champion (pg. 48). It provides its bonus against creatures who oppose your alignment. So either Good/Evil depending on your moral alignment and Chaotic creatures (on the assumption your Monk is Lawful like they usually are). I'm using the Chaos Monk variant from Dragon, so would this change to a bonus against Lawful creatures instead?
  7. Blockade is from Complete Scoundrel. I think his idea is to cast it (a Swift Action) directly behind an enemy and then use the Dungeon Crashing ACF to smash them into it.
  8. But then I don't get my natural weapons immediately and as my future level 6 and 9 feats are already locked in on specific other feats, no chance to grab Multiattack. Heck with it, no second template. Alright, off to revise my sheet.
  9. So, I only just noticed the rule about using Inevitability's Rules Adjustment for monsters and templates. That drops my Half-Dragon LA down to +2, so I'm thinking of adding a second template. Ideally, I'd add Half-Celestial. But, annoyingly, Half-Celestial doesn't seem to have classed out racial template levels like Half-Dragon and Half-Fiend do. Closest thing I found was on D&D Wiki, but pretty sure that's homebrew. Can I get any input on this?
  10. Still Mind is an untyped bonus, so it stacks with any other bonuses. Flurry of Blows and TWF combined should probably (subject to DM approval) grant a third attack at highest BAB, but the penalties from both would also stack, so you'd have -4 to all attacks made that round.
  11. More just idle brainstorming at this point. My intended progression is Monk1/Barbarian1/Monk3/Fist of Forest3/Monk TBD levels on one side, I'm still figuring out what to do on the other side after I run out of LA levels and picking up a few more Barbarian levels is one idea.
  12. Can a class be advanced on both sides of the gestalt (not at the same time obviously), or is it limited to the side you first leveled in it? Example: I take Barbarian1 at level two on Side A, and a few levels later I want to take Barbarian2 on Side B.
  13. Yes. So Unarmed Strikes would be +6 and the natural weapons +4 (using my BAB +2 and Str bonus +6) in the full attack with Flailing Blows (Chaos Monk's modified version of Flurry of Blows) then.
  14. Aggressive trait gives -1 AC. Shouldn't Multiattack reduce the bite penalty to -2? On a full attack, shouldn't you get both? Yeah, working on equipment. Sheet is not done yet obviously Edit: I just noticed the rule in monster characters about using Inevitability's Reassigned LA. According to that, Half-Dragon is now only a +2 LA?

  16. Alright, since Chaos Monk is good, I'll start putting a proper application together.
  17. As you mentioned, Monk/Barbarian going into Fist of the Forest (with LA initially on the other side of the gestalt).
  18. Technically, Devoted Tracker only requires Smite Evil, it doesn't explicitly specify you have to be a Paladin. Now, you'll lost out on some of the feat's benefits, but if the combined Special Mount/Animal Companion is the only thing you care about from that feat, it is possible. I was actually briefly brainstorming a mounted archer build using the Light Cavalry variant for Scout (who gains Special Mount identical to a Paladin's) and dipping Cleric with that Unearthed Arcana ACF that trades Turn Undead for Smite Evil. EDIT: By the way, think my earlier request was missed so I'll ask it again: requesting if Chaos Monk from Dragon Magazine #335 would be allowed.
  19. The Dastana from Oriental Adventures is a good stand-in for Vambraces. The Cassiline brothers basically had three modes of fighting: The normal fighting style was dual wielded daggers to defend their ward without killing people, Longsword when they had no choice but to kill to defend, The Terminus, a last resort, their principal will be captured and either tortured horribly or used for some other bad fate, so they kill them first with a dagger to the heart then use the other on themself.
  20. Okay, I'm back. I have a Dragon Magazine request: Chaos Monk from Dragon Mag #335.
  21. Understood. Just brainstorming, I had two separate ideas involving classes with incompatible alignments. I have other concepts I am kicking around. New question: do Clerics have to worship a specific deity or can they be devoted to a concept/ideal as per the PHB class description?
  22. Do Barbarians, Monks, and Druids still have alignment restrictions as per the PHB? As in Monks must be Lawful, Barbarians must be non-Lawful, Druids must have some Neutral?
  23. It's been a long time since I played AdEva, but if I'm remembering correctly, the workaround my DM came up with last time was that, for E-Scale combat, if you were in adjacent squares with an enemy but had not made any melee attacks yet, you were treated as Point Blank Range. If either you or the enemy did engage one another in melee, you were treated as Melee Range until one of you move (which could include just shuffling a dam to return to Point Blank Range without leaving the actual square you were in).
