  1. Niri Silverstag, gutsy as he was, came up to Dara and Ghorrin and after what felt like to him a laundry list of names and figures for questioning. “I think I’ll ask you some questions, if you don’t mind. I think I’ll start with him.” he said pointing to Ghorrim. Giving him a curious look, Niri asked “These symbols carved on Mr. Billiam’s corpse, do you know anything about them? If they’re religious, I’m sure you or Ms. Dara here ought to know a thing or two about them.” Niri Silverstag HP: 13 AC: 18 Passive Perception: 12 Ongoing Effects: Conditions: OOC Situational: Move: Action: I want to find out if maybe there’s something that Dara and Ghorrim know about the symbols on Billiam’s body after he was murdered. I made an Insight roll, if that’s what applies. Bonus Action: Reaction: Ongoing Effects/Conditions:
  2. Niri Silverstag HP: 13 AC: 18 Passive Perception: 12 Ongoing Effects: Conditions: Niri Silverstag, at the hearing of what sounded to him like the scream of a woman, a scream of absolute horror, as if she had seen an abyssal fiend, rose up (reptilian eyes sharp and narrow) and grabbed his sword. At first he was prepared to strike at whatever danger might be present, only to see that whatever had transpired was already come and gone. Nothing remained except blood, gratuitously coming out from the tent where Billiam had camped and Niri had felt bewildered that whatever had caused Billiam's demise had slipped his vision and awareness. He sheathed his sword back into its scabbard and began looking around for clues as to what or who could have committed this murder. "I'll get to looking around to see what I can find." "Myself, I saw nothing. Only just a bit ago heard the scream then that's what alerted me to what happened. I'll help search." Niri then began, eyes peeled and quiet as could be, searched as far and wide as he could around the camp for whatever he could find of Billiam's murderer (trinkets, footprints, blood from a fight struggle, or whatever else.)
  3. Niri Silverstag HP: 13 AC: 18 Passive Perception: 12 Ongoing Effects: Conditions: "Sounds like quite the predicament you have yourselves in. I'll be happy to go in there and help retrieve some parchment for you. Maybe I'll hit some luck. Who knows, may this Ilmater that this Chosen worships will give us a hand." he replied to Keryn. Realizing he may have judged Gaerzin too early, he then said to the wizard in an apologetic tone, "My apologies, wizard. I had not a clue as to your actions in all this. I judged you too quickly." He then turned towards the building ready to go in...when out come Grug and Gwen with the parchment that was needed. Feeling a bit disappointed in himself, Niri exclaimed "Grief to me! Ah well, better luck next time." Then to Grug and Gwen, he congratulated them. Well at any rate, I'm glad you two made it out alive. I see that I am in good hands. Hope I can help out in any way that I can." After the arrival of members of a caravan, Niri Silverstag bows his head to the Chosen of Ilmater saying "I'm willing to help in any way that I can, you can count on that. I have lost some members of my caravan who were on their way to Elturel, perhaps all of them. Even if they should be gone for good, you, this caravan, and my new companions have my promise of loyalty." As the wagons of the caravan began to leave, Niri Silverstag boarded one, the one Gaerzil boarded to be exact. Niri held his hand at the sword in its sheath, ready for anything even along the way. "You might need a little protection while gazing at those books of yours." he said to Gaerzil with a hint of dry humor in his deep dragon voice. 4. Niri Silverstag HP: 13 AC: 18 Passive Perception: 12 Ongoing Effects: Conditions: Niri wasn't too impressed at Gaerzil's words, himself being a man (or scaly being) of action. "Gaerzil the Supervisor, shall I call you that then?" he intoned with a hint of sarcasm. "Not much use munching on an apple when you could be helping your companions here retrieve this parchment you speak of. Oh where are my manners, my name is Niri Silverstag." Noticing Keryn, he engaged him in conversation, of which might prove more helpful for now at least. "Pleased to meet you, Keryn Donnathlascen. I know of Lord Ravenguard. Fine soldier and marshal back in the day from what I've heard, though never met him myself. I'm sorry to hear about what happened with the caravan in all this mess. I myself was put on duty to guard a caravan of dignitaries and nobles to Elturgard that were going there for the selfsame reason. I honestly can't say whether any of them survived. It was all a blur at the moment when everything came down. Though I am willing to help you find the members of your caravan and hopefully if any on mine survived, they will have met up with others and we could find them all together. Your lot..."he said pointing to all the members" look like the best bet at figuring this all out, even the lazy wizard over there with the cat." he said glancing over at Gaerzil. "So, what exactly is in that shop that's causing so much trouble for all of you? Maybe I can give it a whack." OOC Situational: Move: Action: Bonus Action: Reaction: Ongoing Effects/Conditions:
  5. Niri Silverstag HP: 13 AC: 18 Passive Perception: 12 Ongoing Effects: Conditions: Just then, towards the group came a tall bronze Dragonborn. He attempted to assess the situation before him, but not knowing what in the world was going on, he thought he’d get right to the chase. “What seems to be the problem here? Anything I can help you folks with?” he asked with a subtle booming voice. “All hell’s broken loose. I was helping guard a traveling caravan then…well..this all happened. You all must be trying to figure this all out as much as I am. So I guess that’s why I’m here. To seek help and to offer it.” OOC Situational: Move: Action: Bonus Action: Reaction: Ongoing Effects/Conditions:

  7. Niri Silverstag Name: Niri Silverstag Character Concept: Fierce and loyal is Niri Silverstag, ready to take up arms for not only those he fights with, but for those who can’t fight for themselves. To him, his ancestry gives him no sense of worth above others nor a reason to make others fear him, that is, unless he or someone he cares about is crossed or seriously put in danger. Race: Dragonborn (Bronze) Class: Fighter Background: Soldier Gender: Male Alignment: Lawful Good Faction: Lords' Alliance Lifestyle: Modest Region of Origin: Yartar (in the Savage Frontier) Sheet: Description: A tall (by human, and definitely by halfling standards) bronze Dragonborn fighter, that might not be easy to get along with, but eases up once you get to know him. Though not big in the sense of humor department, Niri Silverstag always finds it hilariously ironic how his surname matches neither his lineage since he’s bronze, nor his species, since he’s not a stag. Niri looks out for those who cannot help or defend themselves and will fight (brutally if necessary) against his enemies and especially against the enemies of those who are seriously wronged. Past is Prologue: Niri Silverstag was no Runara. Sure, he shares the same ancestry as the leader of the ascetics on Stormwreck Isle, but a complete commitment to peace or non-violence was not his forte. Born and raised in the city of Yartar, Niri quickly developed a comfortable life in this city, having an occupation helping to build barges for its continually-thriving fishing economy. He liked this life he made for himself. It toughened him, tough as he was being a dragonborn. He was, however, aware of stories his father told him of their creation by Bahamut, and their kind's antagonism against the dragons of Tiamat. They were fierce fighters, both sides. He even heard news and rumors spread around about the recent events that took place at Dragon's Rest at Stormwreck Isle. One night while at the tavern Pearl-Handled Pipe, he met up with a co-worker of his on one of the shipbuilding docks. "Ya'know, I've seen you practicing hitting and striking in the air over and over with that same plank of wood sittin' over near the fish nets. You almost look like you could've been a skilled swordsman. You ever thought of becoming a soldier or some kind of fighter?" This very question, from a simple shipbuilding mate, is what got the gears going in his head. Niri Silverstag the fighter for whatever is good in the world.....that's what he wanted to become. Though he loved the comfort and steady work of shipbuilding, a warrior's life was for him and he couldn't resist. So with his earnings, he bought himself some gear, and traveled south to Baldur's Gate to train to become a knight in the service of the Lords' Alliance. He was content with tasks given him, the first of which is guarding traveling caravans traveling to and from Baldur's Gate to Elturgard. And this would change his life forever... 9. I’d be interested in hopefully joining this. Anyone know what the normal expected posting rate is?
  10. If it’s all right with you, I’d like to drop my bid for The barbarian. I’m already about to get started in a campaign elsewhere and don’t know if I can juggle two separate ones at once. has more experience playing D&D than I do so I think it’s only fair that I let him take Vandross. I’d still like to observe the campaign if that’s allowed though.
  11. Me too. That’s one of the big reasons that made me place my bid for him too. I always appreciate a very third-dimensional character with depth instead of the cliché type like you mentioned.
  12. That helps to know that. Thank you for clarifying.
  13. While we’re on the topic, I’ll keep the barbarian unless something pressing comes up in my out of character life.
  14. Yes thank you. And while the way you described it does make it sound challenging, I feel like that might make it more fun. It’ll make it so that we can make smarter decisions as a party, almost like a Jumanji situation.
  15. Thank you. That helps. That sounds doable with my schedule and commitments. I just also noticed that there is a Game Expectations on the top where the game directory is listed. I thought I couldn’t find it because I was looking in the dropdown menu.
  16. Hello. I’m kind of new to D&D. I do have previous solo campaign experience. What’s the minimum posting requirement? I can be busy many times since I have 4 kids and a wife. If it’s okay, I’d like to choose Vandross Ephrates as my character.
