Duergar Outpost 21 Kythorn at 1pm-ish; Illumination: Exterior - Dim; Interior: Dark Weather: High Winds The door swings open, apparently on it's own accord, revealing (once there is light to reveal such details) a large, nearly empty room. Snow has drifted into the corners, and frost covers the stone walls. Three barred openings overlook the snow-covered grounds outside the stronghold. You see two duergar, as large as the ogre you just killed, lying in wait on either side of the door. But there is no sign of Vithka. Vithka notices a passage moves to the east, connecting to another area of the stronghold. Round 1: PCs (continued) OOC Vithka: use mage hand; move; draw bow; Johnny: Markax: Roscoe: Duergar: Prevailing light inside is Dark. Disadvantage on Perception checks (and a -5 to Passive Perception) outside of the magic light if you have Darkvision, Blind otherwise.
  4. Took a quick vacation - updating now. You can adjust actions as desired.
  5. Yeah, the 3rd attack at Bloodaxe would have hit w/out disadvantage. So I assume Bloodaxe would use Shield , so just update your post to reflect and mark off the spell slot.
  6. the duergar's attack would have come after your action of using the bag of tricks, so no opportunity to intervene. The weasel was destroyed. However, you have successfully "wasted" their ambush / chance of surprise.

If you beat or tie the Duergar Init take a turn. Prevailing light inside is Dark.   8. And alas, a Str of 10 is a jump distance of 10 feet, with a 10-foot running start. Half the distance if standing jump. So Vithka hops 1 sqr to the east.
  9. Actually, yeah I did roll with disadvantage for the unseen attackers. It should have just been normal roles. I think one of those may have hit and caused Bloodaxe to use another shield spell.

  11. Durlag's Tower: Grand Foyer Illumination: Interior - Dark; Weather: none Bloodaxe quickly casts a spell to deflect the unseen attackers blades. Eireann strikes the slaad with his booming blade and darts away from his foes. Lajal polymorphs into a huge dinosaur, freeing himself from the demon's grapple. He tries to shove the demo back but is unable. Bloodaxe chops away where one of his assailants lurks and his blade bite into flash twice. Vall comes charging south and you hear the wince of pain as one of the unseen assailants is burned. One of Vall's slams finds its mark. Theren casts a spell on the weak-willed slaad and it runs into the corner, past the Mirthful Fey. The fey ally darts in and strike the four-armed demon and misty steps back to safety. Duncan's new foe just got farther away and he tracks it down, corning the aberration. The four-armed demo clacks its pincers at Lajal Rex, missing both times, but it pummels the huge beast with its fists. The slaad bites and claws at Duncan but the warrior's defenses are too formidable. And the unseen attacks loudly curse in dwarvish as Bloodaxe continues to evade them. All PCs are up!
