So the lose idea for his backstory is that he was born into slavery as part of remnent dwarf slaves taken after the sacking of some dwarven kingdom or large settlement by goblin and drow forces. He was eventually bought by an old Drow ranger...sort of the old villian looking back on his life with some self-doubt...named Varis who teaches him to read and write (Elven or Dwarven?) and battle. Eventually he dies and my character takes on his name instead of whatever the Drow call slaves.

Hey I worked on my character a little...think it'll be fun. He's a Dwarf ranger born into underdark captivity, but not with other dwarves. In fact I'm really pushing a different take on a typical dwarf. He's 5' 160 lbs. which is kinda slender and tall for a dwarf and I'm thinking that his beard will be really short (maybe the drow made him cut it routinely or something i don't know). I think it would be cool if he knew Elven (or whatever Drow speak) instead of Dwarven. I like the sort of "fallen dwarf" tone of this character. I'll play him as innocently naive, but much more determined than a Rudy Buscuitbarrel kinda naive (and not as annoying). As far as imagery goes i'm taking a lot of two-weapon martial art and native american themes (Kali mixed with some simplified Indian tools maybe). I made the sheet on this profile but i can't figure out how to get it to you. Later.
