Vs Trip
(Realized I hadn't been doing opposed rolls on trip. Woops. Ah well. It won this round of 'trip the skeleton'.)
Fang cracks one of the bones on the Horror. Blech. Dusty. He doesn't manage to knock it down a second time, however.
-
((I was under the impression we were waiting for our client to acknowledge our presence.))
-
((Realized belatedly that I made a second mistake. Skell #2's actions will stand as is, but it was supposed to be Skell #1 that was acting; I said the wrong name.))
Horror #1 continues to attack Ryzia.

Meanwhile, Winter whips her sling at the other Horror. Alas, her slung stone shatters against the wall behind the creature.

There is a location within the dungeon you can use to effectively gain an instant rest. You have to find it first, and it only works once per person, but it exists! I'll tell you it's not far from where you are though.
RE: Grapple. D'oh! You're right! I dun it again! Ignore that attack then.
RE: TWF + Unarmed attack. I'll allow this as Multi-weapon Fighting as Blue Jay suggested for now. It seems there may be further debate to come on the matter for the mods which may change things later.
Also! There is a 3rd level to this dungeon, but the entrance isn't obvious. You have to either learn about it IC or stumble across it by chance.

Ryzia's morningstar proves far more effective at striking bone. It doesn't hurt a lot, but it's better than what her sword was doing.
Init Order: Skell #2, Gwain/Fang, Ryzia, Jorenis, Skell #1, Winter
Map Link (Map has not changed, but it's there if needed.)
The prone skeleton crawls to its feet, provoking attacks from everyone within range, and attempts to free itself of the binding strands of kelp. (Jorenis and Fang may take an AoO vs Skell 2.)
Attack v Fang

Edit: Ignore the attack roll. It should be a grapple roll instead. To save time, since the modifiers are the same, we'll use the same roll result of 20. IIRC, Kelpstrand rolled 22 to grapple, so it is not freed.

Yes, TWF and Flurry have always been possible together. You just can't flurry with non-monk weapons last I checked. Hopefully a mod will get back to you/us with an official ruling soon. Personally, I'd be fine with allowing it, but I default to RAW (rules as written) whenever possible.
-
Don't look at me, Alexis is fully willing to leave the guy who got drunk the night before work behind. Although on the other hand, forcing him to work despite a hangover might be more punishing. No lie ins for you!
-
To be clear, darlis does not need to do anything at this time except bear this in mind for the future. It's partially my fault for not catching what they were doing earlier. Not really sure where they got the idea they could use FoB with drow long knives or automatically use unarmed strike with a full attack. It's not like UAS is a secondary natural weapon like Bite, which would permit such use. If they can explain their reasoning and point to where it says this is allowed (even/especially if it's some mod post I missed), then I'll permit it going forward. Otherwise, much like critical confirmation rolls vs immune-to-crits skellies, I'll just ignore their UAS roll going forward if they continue to post it.
-
I'm ready. No further preparations needed.
-
There is! And that is indeed its name! Alas, Jorenis does not have it. I double checked.
-
Jorenis focuses on the still standing skeleton, one blade bouncing off an upraised shield while the other chips away at bone ineffectually. A sudden kick rattles the creature, but does not stop its single-minded determination to end Ryzia.
((In the future, please specify which enemy you are attacking. Jorenis is in range of both enemy combatants and their AC are different.))
-
Jorenis: Once again, Undead like Skeletons are immune to critical hits. Additionally, I assume you've been using flurry of blows? That's the only way I know of with your current set up to get an unarmed strike alongside weapon attacks in a full attack. However, Flurry only works with special Monk Weapons. Drow Long Knives are not Monk Weapons, ergo you cannot flurry with them. I didn't bring it up previously because I'd missed it, but I'm mentioning it now. I'll resolve the current attacks as is, but keep this in mind for the future. You can TWF with your knives, or you can flurry with unarmed strikes. Not both at once in this case.
-
The dice gods giveth and the dice gods taketh away.
-
Reminder that undead are immune to critical hits. Since this one doesn't have a shield, that would have succeeded, but it's undead, so no dice. The grapple also should have prevented it from attacking normally since it's wielding a longsword (which is not a light weapon) but I forgot. It missed anyway, so it's fine.

The skeleton drops its bow and pulls out a jagged sword, thrusting it at Fang's face.

Winter's spell blasts a rib out of one skeleton's chest, but it doesn't slow it down any. (Rest of post TBD. Need to know target of Kelpstrand.)

I did look up the spell myself, yes. I know what Kelpstrand does. I just need to know which skeleton you targeted. Of course, I can always just assume you want to target skeleton 2, where Fang is.
-
Oh, right. I forgot you mentioned that. Alas, no, I cannot see that post. Never did. I only saw you bring up that it was 'pending approval' or something. Looks like the Horror needs a 19 or 20 to beat your grapple check. Despite it technically being an attack roll, if their number is bigger than yours, it still fails on a nat 20.
Vs Grapple
Exact opposite of what they needed to roll. Guess whichever skeleton your Kelpstrand was targeting is now grappled.

Yeah, this site is really out of whack sometimes. It just ate my post edit too.

Jorenis' long knife skitters across the skeleton's rib cage, dealing almost no harm at all. The other skeleton takes a swing at Ryzia.

Really just waiting for Jorenis to decide what they want to do with their turn (if anything). I know paladinred (Winter) specifically said they'd be slower on the uptake for the next while so I can just have her use her sling constantly easily enough.
