Background

Darvin grew up in Neverwinter. As a young child, he was less than intelligent. He knew that he could be smarter, that others were smarter, but such things came difficult if at all to him. As he grew older, his frustrations continued to mount as his various attempts to overcome his problems gave little in the way of noticeable changes. He even tried reaching out to the heavens for something to help him, after all the gods could do such things, could they not. His life changed when something called back. Savras reached back to open Darvin's eyes to the world around him and all that he could learn therein. It took a few days before he fully understood the nature of his new found intelligence, and the pact that it was linked too. Even still, he found it a blessing worth the cost, even as Savras gave him a few minor tasks to complete as he gained access to the various centers of learning around Neverwinter. Many years would pass before the first major request was to be had. Something foreseen was approaching out of the frozen north, and Darvin was to be there to watch, learn, and possibly tip the scales of fate there.
