Derval "Ironeater" Ironaxe

An elderly dwarf with a lustrous, snow white beard and wise eyes, Derval is a skilled blacksmith and weaponsmith, perhaps the most skilled between Waterdeep and Balder's Gate. His work demands a higher price, but customers are often happy to pay it. He is the head of the large Ironaxe family blacksmithing business.
He is a fair guildmaster (head of the blacksmith's guild) and rumored to be a savvy councilman, part of the Council of Guilds that rules Daggerford by charter. He is usually closed-mouthed, but as he works at his forge, he's been overheard to mumble thing such as:

"Perhaps not as good as they made under Illefarn, but good enough, good enough..."

Though if he notices anyone is listening, he self-consciously shuts up.

Gildamesh

Tall, lanky, light skinned with jet black hair, Gildamesh is recognizable as a foreigner of Damaran decent. Despite inexplicable but obvious charm in manner and word, his perpetual sneer and cold mannered attitude are off-putting to most residents of Daggerford, many of whom have taken to spreading any number of rumours about this recent arrival in town.

Duke Pwyll "Greatshout" Daggerford

The fair-haired, second son and third child of the late Duke Pryden Daggerford. Tall and handsome, the bright-eyed young (roughly 30) duke is brave, fearless, and a natural leader of warriors. Pwyll (PWILL) has no end of noble-born female suitors, but prefers the quiet company of his fellow soldiers to the sordid machinations of his barons and Waterdhavian noble houses, all trying to marry off their sisters and daughters to secure access to the ducal throne.

It is hard for you to say what Highlord "Greatshout"s relationship with his sister may be, as it would be for any resident of Daggerford. Most traffic in rumours that Lady Daggerford has always chafed under the men of House Daggerford, but whether you put stock in rumours or not and to what extent is up to each individual.

The Duke, in no small thanks to his father's reputation and his accomplishments in the last Dragonspear campaign, is still enjoying a tenure of popularity, though he is rarely seen in public by the residents of Daggerford and is considered by many older residents a tad young to be the head of the Council of Man.

Gwydion pen Dafwyd

Gwydion pen Dafwyd (GWID-ee-on pen DAV-ud), Court Wizard to the Duke of Daggerford, is known as a self-pronounced expert on the dukedom’s history and the genealogy of the ducal family.
Gwydion is very aware of his status as court wizard and very class-conscious. He has no time for anyone not of noble blood, even those of common blood who have earned the regard of the duke. His immediate about-face if any of these heroes is ennobled is a regular source of amusement to ducal court regulars.
He is handfasted to Lady Priestess Maerovyna of the Earthmother, rumoured to compliment her support of the local agricultural community with a focus on the fey magic of the natural world.

Duke Pwyll is said to have little to do with his court wizard and be rather afraid of him. Recently, he has grown increasingly and noticeably withdrawn.

Lady Bronwyn (BRAWN-win) Daggerford, the lovely, dark haired and lithe of form, elder sister of Duke Pwyll, is the second of the late Duke Pryden’s three children.
Tyndal’s dagger, borne by Bronwyn, is reputed to be the very one used by the first Daggerford against the lizard men.
